@greenmechanicalgenius Said: "You want me to join you for this...You said it was a holiday, right? Of course I will, silly!"
"Well, it's a holiday they only celebrate in the western part of the world, but my mother always included it. She was a world traveler before she settled down in this village, I was raised with a lot of different cultures. The main meaning of the holiday is to be thankful for what you have, the people in your life, cherishing those who have departed. You honor all of these things with a homemade feast, and it's always in November."
Part of why he liked November, it gave him an excuse to cook exotic dishes his mother taught him for the holiday. Having someone over to help him out was going to be a nice thing, he was certain that his family would enjoy it too. Meet the being of which he'd given his heart to.
"It's gonna be lots of fun. It's a prelude to the winter holidays!"
He struck a pose.
"Autumn's last stand against the cold, deep snow!"

A musician, huh? Well that was certainly interesting! His mother had wanted him to become a famous concert pianist. That was why he spent more than half his life dedicated to the piano. She understood, that photography was his passion, and let him go. She didn't express any disappointment in him, and he was thankful for that.
"Not at all, not at all!"
Rising from the chair in which he'd been seated, there's a grin on his face, gesturing for 2D to sit down. It would be cool to hear a real musician play, rather than someone like himself, who only played it as a hobby. He loved it though, even if it wasn't his heart's truest passion. That didn't mean he couldn't love music.
"You're from Gorillaz. The music scene in Japan is interesting and all, but I'm a sucker for things from America. Even though I can tell by your accent you're not from there at all! Nice to meetcha in person, pleasure's mine, 2D!"
Hands going behind his back, the tanuki waited patiently, to listen to the azure haired other play.
"Nice to meet you, Kounosuke." Stu offers a very faint bow, meant to be friendly. He's trying. "I'm 2D. As in Two-Dents, not as in two-dimensional. That would just be stupid." Too on the nose for a Toon, if nothing else. Then again...the guy who gave him this name probably had more than two-dents in mind when he did so. It's a good thing Stu has never come to that realization on his own.
"We're, ah, we're passing through. And-and our bus is in the shop, so...I'm killing time and such until we're ready to go again. I'm a musician," he adds, as if that was somehow in question. The hair, the streetwear, the fact he clearly knows his stuff based on what he has in his hands... "This is our f-first time abroad, and I'm a bit nervous, to be honest. Dunno a word of your language, 'cept what my kid sister's taught me." He mispronounces all of that, too.
"You, ah, you mind if I have a go?" He gestures towards the piano even though the lid's down.

@burnlikeme said: “N-no, don’t let me stop you. Keep playing. You’re good!” Dents came to the music store looking for a new omnichord, found himself distracted by ukuleles, and followed the sound of piano to a back room where he noticed photography equipment set up as if for a photoshoot. “Heh. I think I might be the one interrupting you in more ways than one, actually…”
"You think so?"
He'd just been having some fun, waiting for some clients to come for their photoshoot. Still life was one of his skills, and this way he didn't have to take photos of total strangers. He was hoping to get something for his photography portfolio. The world was ever changing, and thus to, must his portfolio if he's to keep the successful line of work he'd been an integral part of for a good five years.
"Your hair's a real cool blue."
Closing the bar that kept the piano keys dusty, he rolls in his chair so that he's facing 2D. A moment to adjust his glasses, if just to make sure he wasn't seeing things. You didn't find hair like that in a village like Minasato, most people were older. More set in their old fashioned ways.
"Nah, you're not interrupting me. I was just messing around, I took piano lessons for over twenty years, so I guess that's why I'm so good at it, hehe."
"You're not one of my models, though. Who might you be?"
"僕 和 名前 クリ 幸之助 です。" (My name is Kounosuke Kuri.)
The tanuki laughs.
"That's a formal introduction, you can just call me Kounosuke."

"Can't say I have. Really weird, I've been all over the world, and I don't recognize that name at all."
However, dump it may be, he was fascinated. The city had always fascinated him, and though living there wasn't for him, that didn't mean he didn't take regular trips to Kazenari. When on a job, often in other countries, he'd always check out the sights when he wasn't doing his work as a photojournalist.
"Well, until you find your way back, you can stay with me, no cost required."
Was Kounosuke too trusting? Absolutely, and it could get him into trouble. Anyone who behaved friendly towards him, he'd give the shirt off his back to. The tanuki's capacity to love was even bigger than his appetite, and he'd always believe that love was the strongest force in the entire universe.
That no matter how much people hurt him, he'd radiate love into that universe. Nobody could take the love he felt towards the world away from him.
"I'm glad it's a nice place, I love Minasato. But in the city, I felt homesick too. That's why I spent all my savings and had a house commissioned near the forest. I'm a photo journalist by trade, freelance. Magazines from all over the world contact me at this point, but it didn't start that way! If photography didn't work, I was gonna go to culinary school."
Then he winks.
"You haven't lived until you've tried my specially made smoked salmon, hehe. Come on, it's this way."
With a grin, a bounce in his step, and a bounce in the soft curves that were his torso, the tanuki walked. He was always happy to make new, what he perceived to be, friends. And... there was something special about Brok in that finally, someone who was around the same size as him. Every single one of Kounosuke's other friends were skinny, or muscular.
Torahiko was always getting on him about losing weight.
"I have enough savings to stay home for a little while, so we'll work on getting you home, somehow, someway. While you're there, I hope you'll make yourself comfortable. Really! I don't mind, I had my house built with the idea I'd have roommates. That... didn't really pan out, it gets kinda lonely sometimes."
All this talk of Japan and America was going over Brok's head a bit, in his time period the names of the countries of earth had changed, but he gets the gist of what the tanuki was trying to say.
Brok supposed if he was gonna be stuck in past earth for a little bit, then he might as well enjoy himself.
❝ —Heh, yeah, .... ❞ He said reluctantly, grinning a bit in embarrassment, cope was a hell of a drug and the gator is still in denial about his weight. ❝ Ditto. ❞
Kounosuke was so personable, and the world before rebirth was so ethereally beautiful for someone born after rebirth like himself.
❝ Ya ever heard of a country called Atlasia? ❞ Brok teased, of course he hadn't, the country wouldn't develop for another 1,000,000 years and a apocalyptic event from now.
❝ That's where I come from, total dump, trust me, this japan place is a lot nicer. ❞
❝ Just... y'know, I'm homesick. ❞ Brok paused. ❝ I'm gonna be staying here for a bit though, so there's no doubt I'll have to take you up on that offer once or twice. ❞
#brawliligator#v; wandering camera man#[aww I love your writing <3]#[you're very skilled and fun to write with :3c]

"I guess I never really thought about it that way. I could work on it, little by little, and take my own pictures of the dish for the book. That would save money! Thanks for the advice! I know I'm not getting any younger..."
Her explanation on the idea of a cellular phone, he couldn't help but snicker. Not in bad taste, it was completely lighthearted. No insult was meant at all.
"Yeah! Cellular phones have been around for so long, but Minasato is such a small village, that it was ages before we got any reception out here! If you want real good service, you gotta go to Kazenari, which you can take the bus, or the train."
Were monsters really so simple minded? She didn't seem that way, but then again, she was on Earth. She clearly left that realm, as she called it. They approached the door to his house, as he'd said, it wasn't a long walk, and immediately invited her in. Ladies first would have been the term, but Kounosuke always opened the door for a guest, man, woman, or any other identification someone may have went by.
"North America!"
Once they're inside, he closes the door. Inside was wooden, though treated specially to not rot in the rain. The colors were browns, and oranges, his favorites.
"I love the United States, all my trips there helped me develop my American accent! Hehe. When I was a teenager, I used to save up for imported comic books from the United States. I couldn't understand English at the time, but I could look at the pictures!"
Walking into the living area, it was quite spacious, with plenty of places to sit. It screamed 'autumn', even though his favorite season was spring.
"Make yourself comfortable! I'm off to the kitchen to make you what you want, I always have a stocked refrigerator! I cook so much, I have to fill it at least once a week!"

Yes, she seemed quite accomplished and The Gorgon was almost impressed that someone took time to explore the world like that. Someone who was mortal, who didn't have all the time in the world to do so. And hearing that the other's mothers had even learned, picked up skills, was quite refreshing indeed.
"Why write it when you are older? Why not now? You could even take your own pictures. If you are as good a cook as your mom seems to be, and if she truly taught you all she knows, I imagine it would be quite successful. So many people are ignorant to what other parts of their own realm can grant them. The sooner they are enlightened, the better."
She never stopped walking at his side as they talked, her interest growing the more they conversed. Her eyes looked at the structure ahead of them with the same interest. She liked that other creatures still used wood in their homes. It was cozier to her.
"Cell service...? The rectangular metal things with the voices, yes?" Rya herself was a little behind the times with some technology. She had no use for it, after all, apart from a device that had been given to her to converse with some new friends of hers. Same went with computers and like technology.
She couldn't even operate the latter.
"Earth is a special place, that I can agree with. So much better than the monster realm. Most places I have found myself in are far less droll and violent. Monsters may seem unique but most most are plain, simple minded."
It was those monsters akin to the gods themselves that Rya liked to associate with. Ones almost like herself.
"And what is your favorite continent so far?"

That moment is taken to understand the song. It may not have been his ultimate passion, but Kounosuke had always had a knack for picking up melodies, maybe because of this mother's influence. She was the professional musician in the family, but she taught him well, and it took him less than thirty seconds before he was able to pick things up, fingers pressing gently upon the keys.
Just as Sonic had a beautiful voice, the tanuki's ability to play was beautiful as well. He'd mastered the piano years ago, and he never let himself forget.
It reached a point where he could anticipate where the melody was going, even though the song was unfamiliar to him. Sometimes, he couldn't understand all the words in English songs, even now. The pronunciation change could get him. Yet Sonic sang so beautifully, so eloquently, he understood every word.
And this song had a lot of meaning behind it.
When it came to an end, the look of gentility on his face remains, if only for a moment, before it turns into a broader smile. His golden eyes, however, remained equally gentle.
"I listen to a lot of English music, but I've never heard a song that meant so much to me. It's not just because you were the one who was performing it, just the meaning as a whole."
Then, a question crossed his mind as he rested his hands in his lap.
"Have you ever heard of the 'Twin Flame' theory?"
{➹} – THAT WAS SURPRISING for the hedgehog to hear, given that the time during their fight had been rather terrible for him. To think it all stemmed from a misunderstanding was still something he was embarrassed by, but at the same time it had brought a serious resolution with it. Of just how much the tanuki had come to mean to him, of how much they meant to each other.
Nothing was perfect, perhaps them least of all, but they had taken the moment and learned from it. They were stronger because of it, and the hero wasn't taking that for granted. Just hearing Kounosuke's aspirations affirmed that. He wanted to help the others dreams come true, to give them everything they wanted and deserved.
If he hadn't, they wouldn't be there right now. Though the tanuki's words before they all but whisked the hedgehog away had earned them a quirked brow. Yet Sonic didn't fight it, it was the last thing on his mind in fact, but confusion mounted when he was placed on the piano and as he watched the other settle in the chair.
Then that question came and he had to chuckle softly.

"Not quite what I was expecting..." He saw no harm in admitting that, but he didn't refuse either. He still wasn't sure what his partner was getting at entirely, but he had an inkling buzzing around the back of his head and it made his chest feel warm all over again.
But he knew that the other was waiting on them, emerald hues meeting golden for a lingering moment, an affection shining in them as the hero smiled.
So he took a moment, then sung.

"Well, you're not the first person I've met who said things seem like another world here! I've met so many kinds of people here, though I have to admit, you're the first I've met to be so similar to me in the size department."
People were always so... small. Kounosuke, on the other hand, was far from it, clear by how tight his shirt generally was. All he had to do was stretch his arms, not even up, and that body would not be covered. But that was okay. On the occasion he reached a point it didn't fit, the tanuki was well skilled in sewing clothes. He could just add some fabric to his shirt, or jeans.
Worked like a charm, every time!
"If you didn't know, this is a small Japanese village named Minasato. English is actually my second language, but I betcha couldn't tell! I've spent over a decade working on my American accent!"
"Don't stress it. We'll find a way to get you back to... wherever you came from. I'm sure of it!"
With a rather wide grin, Kounosuke's got his hands on his hips.
"I started rambling so much I didn't even introduce myself! Here in Japan, we introduce ourselves by last name first. The proper greeting would be: boku no namae wa Kuri Kounosuke desu," His Japanese was perfect. Clearly his native tongue. "But you can just call me Kounosuke, that's my first name. If you need anything translated, just stick with me."
The ability to appreciate nature wasn't foreign to him, though back in Atlasia (where Brok comes from), he never got to appreciate it like this.
The constant haze and air pollution of 3035 A.R. meant that most plant life had died off in his time, honestly when he wasn't being bombarded with people's private parts the past was legitimately beautiful .
❝ That's the crazy thing, everything here is like another world to me. ❞ It was melancholy, though his actual home was a complete capitalist dump where Slumers didn't even have the luxury of clean air to breath, it was hard not to have feelings for the place he came from.
⸻he missed his family, Graff, Shay. Having another big-boned fella to talk about it with, a fully-clothed one. It was exactly what the reptile needed.
❝ Sorry, that's no way for me to introduce myself, it's Brok. ❞
Brok didn't know how he didn't realize he was in the past sooner, the lush nature, the lack of haze fog or Tribots, and the fact that only some people wore clothes/pants and other's didn't. Shay... had sent him over 1,000,000 years into the past with her time machine (which didn't necessarily have to be activated by you manually to effect your place in time, or even your memories).
❝ Apologies if I'm not talkative, I'm a little far from home. ❞
People's lack of clothing — Now it all made sense. The past was a beautiful, yet primitive time.
He didn't feel like revealing the fact he was a time traveller to Kounosuke, he seemed so happy he didn't want to ruin the tanuki's good mood, Brok walked over lethargically to go sit on a park bench.

I miss you! I miss you! I miss you! Trust that your heart will always guide you true Soar up as high as @brawlligator's dreams can fly!
Just sitting in the park. Kounosuke was situated on the grass, concentration on his work. Not a photograph this time, rather, the tanuki was sketching a ladybug. Pretty soon, it would be too cold for many insects, they'd have to go into hiding. He had to make the most of what little time he had left to get some good sketches in, as he included them in his portfolio.
A photographer that could also draw would be in high demand.
Sketch finished, he stands upright, patting the grass off of his jeans. It's only then that he realizes he's not alone. It was pretty rare to see someone around his own size, though this person was clearly taller than the tanuki. All of Kounosuke's friends were either skinny, or muscular. He always felt like the odd one out, though he accepted himself for who he was.
"It's like another world, isn't it?"
As he spoke, a breeze blew by, ruffling his hair, and pulling at the hem of his shirt, which didn't fit all that well. Though the other was definitely the type to look intimidating, it was rare for Kounosuke to immediately be intimidated, even by monsters. He'd been raised to accept anyone for who they were, not what they looked like.
"There's a level of peace in nature I've never found anywhere else. What about you, Mr.?"

He couldn't help turning just a bit red.
To be told he shone like a star, that was very special to him. Kounosuke strove to be a bright light amongst the darkness that was how the world could be. He knew it wasn't perfect, but that wouldn't stop him from doing his best to bring happiness to everyone he crossed paths with.
The tanuki rested his head upon Otto's shoudler.
And that's when it started. A shooting star. A shooting star followed by another, and even more. It was an annual thing, Kounosuke never missed it. But having someone to share it with... that was what made things truly special.
"When you're feelin' lost I'll be your star Just reach out and touch me No matter where you are In a world where precious things Are disappearing overnight Just keep my star in sight"
The tanuki sang, with a surprisingly nice voice. He was no expert when it came to vocal ability, but he wasn't bad, either. In between would be a good descriptive word, his real musical skill was on the piano.
Otto couldn't help but chuckle as his hand was tugged and he was whisked away by the kanuki. The clear skies were a nice change from the skies above his own home. You could see the stars clearly here and the meteor shower in turn. It would be a beautiful sight.
Otto took a seat on the swing next to the other, looking towards the stars. He would gently rest himself against Kounosuke as he listened to the other speak. He would look into the golden eyes and smile.
"Well maybe it's because you shine bright like a star. I would love to take you amongst the stars too...And much more. With me, you'll get the see the universe."
Otto smiled and would put his arms around the kanuki, relaxing next to the other.

I miss you! I miss you! I miss you! Trust that your heart will always guide you true Soar up as high as @greenmechanicalgenius's dreams can fly! And if I kiss you! I kiss you! I kiss you! Then the whole world begins shining anew!
"There's a meteor shower tonight! Come on, you have to watch with me!"
It was dusk, and the sky was clear. There was no light pollution on Kuri Farm, either. A perk of being out in the country. Nothing but sunflowers, and stars. Kounosuke couldn't resist, he tugged at Otto's hand. If there was one thing he'd never miss, it was a sea of stars falling from the sky.
He'd set a swing up, perfect for two to gently swing while watching the sky.
"Flowers are my passion, but I love the stars."
His tone took on more gentility, as did the golden eyes looking back at the simian.
"I can't wait for the day you can take me on a cruise through the stars."

That got a little laugh out of him. It was easier to learn from a parent, than going to school, so in a way it was totally cheating. But hey, he was a tanuki! In folklore, the tanuki was known for being a total trickster, right? It would have been cool to have special powers like a tanuki from folklore. Turning leaves into items, turning to a statue in times of danger.
Ah well. He was just an ordinary tanuki.
"Well, I tend to ramble. I'm trying to work on that. Some people don't mind listening, but I recognize that some people get really annoyed when someone goes on and on about something. I'm glad you wouldn't mind, and the same extension goes to you! I'd love to hear you talk about architecture!"
Scared of the ocean? Well, he could understand it, even if he didn't share the fear. Especially on a moonless night, it was a dark, watery place to be. It could be hard to find your way if there were no lighthouses nearby. Kounosuke didn't go swimming in the ocean at night either, but not because he was afraid. More so because he recognized the dangers, and knew it wasn't a wise decision.
Despite his large size, Kounosuke had no trouble keeping up with them. He loved walking, and when they arrived at such a beautiful spot, he knew what to say.
"This is one of the most beautiful places I've been, and I've been to a lot of places!"
From around his neck, the tanuki grabs his camera. Moments are taken with him looking through the lens, it was clear that he was a master at his craft by how he tested different positions, different angles, different lighting where it was applicable. A shot was taken, before he sat down on his knees. Digging into his bag, Kounosuke took out his portfolio, offering it to be looked at.
The quality of pictures were just as clear as that last one he took. Stunning oceans, forests, even some of a desert. Some were taken beneath the sea. Some were taken from a special plane design to let him take closer pictures of clouds.
"Whaddya think?"
"Soooo you cheated~." Cinn sang lightly, smirking at the other. Honestly, they were just trying to be a little bit of a pill in that moment. Not a single malicious thought was intended by their tone- nor the glimmer in their eye. They nodded their head as the other explained himself, their smirk transforming into a more light-hearted grin.
"Well, I hope you end up finding that perfect guy for ya, someday!" They truly did. Everyone who sought out or wanted happiness...they deserved it.- So long as they weren't a creep or morally corrupt, in Cinn's eyes. Their tail swished back and forth lightly. "Everyone deserves t'find th'love they're lookin' for, after all." And for Cinn, there was- as far as they could tell for now- none. Well. Maybe a certain blue-quilled hedgehog, but he hadn't visited Windmill Isle in some time- so they assumed they wouldn't be seeing him again.
Cinn, despite their personal preference, was a hopeless romantic at heart. While they didn't watch as many romance films, they'd be lying if they said pretty much every comic on their phone wasn't about romance. They couldn't help it, it was a good genre...!
A part of them, some dim, long-pushed back part...half-hoped they'd find that kind of love, someday. But given their lack of attraction to most,....they weren't expecting much, if anything.
"You make it sound like I'd be against ya goin' on about your photos for hours!" After all, Cinn could get much the same about architecture. They loved the way buildings were made- the curves and subtle dips, the overly dramatic archways and the quiet edges, gargoyles or gutters, it didn't matter. It was all- pretty, in its own right.
Cinn scratched the back of their head. Was it even okay to tell this guy something like this, when the two barely knew each other?
"...'m scared of it, when I'm by myself." They finally managed to admit. It wasn't an average fear, either- it was all-consuming, swimming like a madman back to shore- unable to think of anything but sheer terror, of monsters in the deep, of underwater currents and----! "----So! I just- don't." And since most of their friends weren't as enchanted by the ocean- or as scared- it was rare they managed to go.
Their eyes practically sparkled at that.
"Really????" Something else to focus on- to get their mind off their fear as the street leveled out. Before them was nearly a patio, a blindly-white railing accompanied by wooden chairs, and a few blue-and-white sun umbrellas- overlooking the ocean, the city down below- haloed by brilliant, sparkling blue in every direction before them. The smell of salty water was stronger, here- the wind light, but it carried with it the promise of peace and relaxation. The street came to a rounding end, cobble fading into sheer white. It nearly looked like standing on a cloud in Olympus- overlooking the world below.

"I'm glad we had that argument, actually. Because it made me realize how true those words are. I want to show the whole world how much love there is in the universe. I know the world isn't perfect. I know there's suffering. But that just makes me want to work extra hard on showing my love to the world. Manifesting it into the universe, and spreading it all throughout."
That was why he volunteered so much. He cooked for those who had no food, and when he had the money for it, put those without shelter in a hotel. He may not have been able to make the world a utopia, but that wouldn't stop him from manifesting his sheer love for everything into the world. Into the universe.
"I have an idea."
Very gently, he got off the couch, carrying Sonic with him with equal gentility. Walking a few steps, it really wasn't far from the couch in his living room, he set the hedgehog down on his piano. Then he sat in the chair, opening the covering that guarded the keys from dust, and other debris.
"Will you sing for me? I'll pick up on the melody, and play along with your voice."
It may not have been a passion, but music was still a huge hobby for the tanuki. He played the piano for a little while at least once every few days, it was a really fun way to relieve stress. Golden eyes sparkling like the morning's dew, he awaited Sonic's beautiful voice. One of Kounosuke's not so well known talents, was his ability to improvise.
{➹} – IT WAS SOMETHING THE hedgehog could relate to. He was never afraid to admit that his mother was very much his rock, that she had saved him from himself when he had been at an absolute low point. There was nothing that could or would separate the two of them, and that fact had been proven over the last decade and few years. It was just one reason the hero knew that what he and Kounosuke had was special. If Rosie approved, with how protective she was, then it was meant to be.
And the same went with Kintobor, of course. Despite everything the two of them had been through the human was still the hedgehog's father, and he wouldn't hear anything different. It had taken a while for the scientist to accept that fact but, once they had, they had proven that by being just as involved as Rosie. There were things only the two of them could talk about, and Sonic cherished that fact.
Yes, he had some pretty unconventional parents, a woodchuck who adopted him and a human turned computer program, but he loved them regardless. And he knew it went both ways.

"'S just never made sense t' me t' judge a person based on all that. And the ones who have clearly didn't take the time t' get t' know you. Looks aren't everything, in fact they're hardly anything in the grand scheme of things. I fell in love with you for you. What you are, not what others think you should be."
One more thing the hedgehog was never afraid to admit. True he was a little more cautious about it now after their first, and so far only, disagreement but nothing about his thoughts on the matter had changed. He just knew to be more conscious of how he put things., for Kounosuke's sake.
But, Chaos, there was no denying the way the hero melted when their lips met. His eyes slipped closed and there was the faintest purr heard in his throat as their bodies were brought together. His slender tail had given a few quick wags before the tanuki spoke again, bringing a smile to the hero's muzzle.
"The fact we're here kinda proved that already, hasn't it? Despite everything, we somehow found each other. One person in the entire universe. Our person. If space and Chaos-knows what else couldn't stop us from finding each other, I don't anything could. 'S why I don't want you t' be afraid t' ask me anything you might want t' know. I don't want there t' be anything between us that's obstructive."

"My mom? Oh yeah, she actually traveled all over the world! She loved to play piano, and would perform just about any stage you could think of! But her passion was food, and that became my passion too, along with camera work. She actually taught me for over twenty years, how to play the piano. I still play sometimes, but I'm not famous for it or anything."
He shook his head.
"Sorry, I'm rambling. Anyway, she cooked all kinds of things from all over the world, and she taught me those things because I loved helping out. I know a lot of dishes that aren't commonly named. Someday I wanna write a cook book, maybe when I'm older. It's a dream of mine."
All spoken as he continued walking. On the horizon, a large, wooden house was beginning to appear. They'd be at his place within minutes if they kept up this pace.
"I've lived here pretty much my whole life! Minasato is a really nice village, albeit, kinda behind on the times. We didn't get cell service until a few years ago, and the train station wasn't opened until last year. I always dreamed of the big city, but my heart is here, in the country."
Then he looked back at her with a quick wink.
"Not that I don't still love the city! I've taken photos on every continent this Earth offers!"

Nothing the tanuki said was anything The Gorgon didn't like to hear. She would gladly try more candy, there had to be more varieties of it. And cake, she loved cake. She didn't know what yen was but if Kounosuke had it then she saw no reason to fret over it. Why he was offering any of it in the first place, she didn't know, but if it got her food then so be.
She wouldn't turn down his generosity.
Rya was impressed he had heard of her request, though if he hadn't it wouldn't have been the first time someone was confused by her choice of food. She didn't know if his attempt would be good, but as long as it was sweet she didn't care. If she wanted the 'real' thing she could always go back to Greece. This was just a lot easier in her mind.
"Your mother must be very accomplished then. It is one thing to visit a foreign place but another to learn its cuisine. Not many bother with it. I look forward to seeing what she taught you."
She hardly needed any prompting to follow him, her own strides were calm and level, just like her expression. That wasn't to say she wasn't excited, the subtle twitching of her tentacles and tail would say that much. Small signs, but there if one knew what to look for. She was perfectly apt to travelling on land despite her appearance, and had little trouble staying by his side.
"You have lived here long, I assume? Being an established photo-taker must mean as much, yes?"
