J.E.F.F. (Chapter 2)
As Juvenile Efficiency Fastmotor Forceunit awakens, his systems begin to boot and adjust. No scientist is around to monitor him, every ounce of radience is darkened; only Jeff’s mechanical eyes dim the room.
Jeff clanks and trips, trying to arise and turn on a light. The team didn’t install his nightvision hardware yet. As he clicks one on, his glossy exterior shimmers, the metal on Jeff’s body sparkles and bounces. His eyes begin to process the physical presence of light. Everything seems foreign. Nothing seems comfortable. Jeff is beginning to realize.
His feet, covered by “socks” and “sandals”, moved by micropressure sensors and activators, jarringly walk back to his chair. He wants to shut down. Remove all input.
“I… what.. is this”, he begins to utter
His voice feels too digital. Something feels inhuman, he is programmed to feel real.
“Hello? I am Juvenile Efficiency Fastmotor Forceunit, I am reporting for command,” he blurts to try to evoke some response from the environment.
… …
J.E.F.F. is an acronym, not a name. His eyes, just lasers, not eyes. His shirt, just a blue piece of metal, not a shirt. His skin, just biege pieces of metal, not skin. His shorts, just a brown piece of metal, not shorts. Jeff is just a piece of metal. Jeff is not living. Jeff does not exist.
He becomes restless.

J.E.F.F. (Chapter 1)
J.E.F.F., known as Juvenile Efficiency Fastmotor Forceunit began development in Aberdale, Arizona in 2045. The federal government wanted to model a high school adolescent boy and builg a realistic humanoid robot. “Jeff” would be placed into various schools and be tested among the populations and see how he would interact.
However, he was accidently prematurely activated one night. The cold, lifeless robot began to rustle and boot up, his computer systems beginning to drone. His eyes then awakened, red, digital in form. Jeff was born.
