Alright, I posted the first two chapters on A03, from Hadraniel's first moments of life to the final battle of the Civil War. I have a lot more, but I'll space it out.

Honestly, if you see an angel that’s all eyes and wings and wheels of fire, you should be worried. Like, not because it’s going to hurt you or anything, but because scripturally, angels invariably appear to ordinary people in human form. In general, they only show their inhuman true forms to prophets – which means if you’re seeing them like that, they come bearing responsibility.

“With all due respect, Archangel, I think we, your subordinates, are much more than meat shields, pincushions, or pawns—perhaps with the exception of Janek,” Lieutenant Hadraniel says with the polite, careful tone of an angel who has spent millions of years navigating Azrael’s proclivity for episodes of uncontrolled rage.

“And we’re certainly not without backbones. Some of us have too much backbone,”

"Archangel, I have come to offer you my sword,” Lieutenant Hadraniel says to the Prince of Heaven, bowing his head respectfully as he speaks

He does not have to participate in the conflict between Gabriel and humankind, for Hadraniel has had no commanding Archangel for nine hundred years, not since Azrael was dragged from Heaven and locked away by the other higher angels. But Hadraniel knows that this is what Azrael would do, if she were free—she would come here, to Vega, and she would join Michael. And Hadraniel will be damned if he doesn't do the same.

It was important to focus on that as his comment on her nature was unsettling, another bit of evidence to a truth she tried to ignore. “Of course I do know a celestial who is willing to join me occasionally, if you would consider that to be a better choice.”

“I’m not saying that you—listen, don’t start any fires, okay?” Hadraniel stammers out, clearly flustered. “Just focus on what we were talking about before.”

He wonders if this is what being a parent is like. If it is, Hadraniel wants no part of it. Who knew that talking sense into an almost child would be so complicated? Then again, he really does need to get better at this.

HALF LIFE ALYX SENTENCE STARTERS

“Not overly revealing, as it is night and therefore, dark.” Hadraniel answers nonchalantly. “Cold front coming in from the north though, so you might want to stay close to the fire.”

He looks up at the jagged rock face, only seeing its looming silhouette against the even darker sky. The moon sheds no light on their surroundings, as it is hidden away by a thick bank of cloud, which might eventually end up producing rain or sleet. Unfortunately, Hadraniel isn’t an Archangel, so he cannot manipulate the weather. He can only sit around and get damp, waiting for whatever has been terrorizing people in the area.

(5.) Angels in various religions are not always good and kind guardians or helpers. Some are vengeful, violent, or rebellious. What is your character’s personality like and is it within the realm of what one might expect from their particular species/culture?

I mean, Azrael isn’t like a little rosy-cheeked baby with fluffy wings. She isn’t traditionally good or kind or peaceful. She IS vengeful and violent, and she can be as malevolent and frightening as a demon. Having said that, Azrael does help people, even if it’s not in her best interests. She is a dutiful angel, even if she is seriously flawed.

(15.) Introduce us to another character with which yours is very familiar. This can be another muse on Tumblr, a character from their canon material, or a character in their background story. What is/was the relationship between the two characters? What effects does/did this character have on your character’s life? Are they still in contact with this character? If so, how do you see their relationship changing over time? If not, what caused the separation?

Okay, well it has to be the Seraph, Lt. Hadraniel. 

He was one of Azrael’s two favourite Lieutenants, and he was fiercely loyal to her. Hadraniel even knew about Azrael interfering on Earth, kept her secret AND kept tabs on events concerning the Crusades. At the last second, when Azrael saw that she was cornered by the other angels, she ordered Hadraniel to save himself and publically pledge loyalty to the angels that conspired against her, because she knew he would be executed if he was found to be on her side. Hadraniel reluctantly did what he was told, even though it pained him. He even had to take part in the removal of Azrael from her vessel, so they could imprison her. 

He is still alive and serving, and he is part of a secret faction who still owe their loyalty to Azrael. He is over at @goodlieutenant, if anyone wants to interact with him.

‘’Is there no way to take care of it without harming the body? —— do you know what happened to the soul this body belonged to?’’ Lan Xichen asked, the other seems well enough acquainted with the situation. This may not be the usual case he’s dealt with himself, but if something possessed this body - it can be removed again. However, that would only be useful if the soul of the person that this body belongs to was still in there. He saw no need to respond to the other words about letting it go, that was not an option. But settling for murder should be a last resort. At the sight of it’s face, the clouded eyes and bloodied, rotten teeth his brows furrow together in a pensive manner. Whatever it is possessing this man’s body, if this was the result.. was a body even strong enough to house it? How long has it been in there, for it to look like this?  

“The soul was already gone. Has been for some time, by the looks of it.” Hadraniel starts, taking a closer look at the blood around the demon’s mouth. 

One thing’s for sure, what doesn't belong to its victims, is old blood, dead blood. The body no longer functions as it did when it was alive, though Hadraniel can still see the blood clot that presumably killed the poor soul. Now the demon is only using it as a grotesque sort of marionette. The sooner it dies and leaves the body, the sooner Hadraniel can bury it properly.

“He died naturally. Then this vulture came along.” Hadraniel adds as he presses the demons hideous face into the dirt.
