Is All Natural Soap Better For You?

These days, we all worry about what we put in or on our body. With soap, this worry is compounded because soap is used all over your body with continued direct contact with the skin. If there are harmful chemicals, metals, or dangerous substances, your body may well absorb them.
In the United States, when we start to look at the safety of products, we often look to the FDA. On their website, you can find this helpful content. In summary of that page, if your soap products intent is to be used just as soap, then it may fall under the CPSC or the Consumer Products Safety Commission. The commission has even put together a helpful video on the topic for soap producers.
I provide all of that information for context on the question is all natural soap is better for you. If a soap qualifies as a CPSC regulated soap, it may be safer for regular use. However, these days we find even the most wholesome brands like Good Nature Soap also use natural ingredients like natural oils for scents, and other natural oils for moisturizing benefits. So, even without any chemicals being added, the soap bars could come under a cosmetic title.
What is important to identify is if the manufacturer tests their soap products, ingredients, and products for things like heavy metals, and other possible contaminants. Our product line uses only natural and safe ingredients that have been sourced naturally and lab tested for purity. We purchase our raw oil ingredients direct from the producers but only after they have tested their batch of product.
Our internal supply of oils is created to be locally sourced steam distilled oils from fresh ingredients that have been washed and cleaned before the steam distillation process. Ours is not a vast large production process. We produce only a few pans of soap at a time. One production pan is equal to about 10 bars of finished soap. Good Nature Soap is a business that is a passion project not intended to become a large-scale producer. In fact, our first 500 pans of finished soap were melted to form in our own oven at home.
Instead of making a fortune being a soap manufacture we want to offer a quality brand that people can trust for pure natural soaps. Natural soap that should have less allergic reactions from users, a great fragrance, and quality you can depend on. This business was started for fun on a whim and has grown to be a brand that consumers trust in the local area, and some have shipped to their home. The majority of our clients order 10 bars or more at a time to save on shipping and handling. That is more than a year's supply for most users. Some customers order more because they love to spread their favorite fragrance all over the home. Used in guest bathrooms, their primary bath, and even like scented candles without the smoke in more public rooms.
Have a workout room place several bars near an airflow source and keep that room smelling fresh all year round. Since the oils are in the soap, they do not dissipate. They stay active on the soap and in the air. If you need to boost the scent, just use the soap once to take off the outer layer and replace to dry where you had them.
Some people enjoy just adding a few drops of warm water to boost the scent in the air. I do this with my own personal soap and also place a low flow fan behind my Good Nature Soap on a table to keep the fragrance in the air. Even moistening the bars daily with a few drops will have the soap last you for this purpose 10 months or more. A few customers have shared that they do this with their soap they have just purchased. A few months in to their use, they swap them out for a new bar and use the previous bar of soap in their bathrooms for personal hygiene.
How you want to use your soap is up to you. But to get the best and safest soap for your home, purchase a naturally made and sources soap like Good Nature Soap.
