Look, if you don't get the urge to just bury your face in a belly and kiss it and knead it like dough and occasionally bite it a little, then I don't exactly think we're on the same wavelength
And no tumblr, I don't need tags. True believers will find this.

My tallest Sunflower is measuring 25 feet, 2 inches.
Official USA record is 24’ 9”.
Once the head fully matures we will do an official measurement to set a new Record for the tallest Sunflower ever grown in US history. I compost a TON, grow everything organic, soil is very rich with micro life!
I am originally from Ukraine. We named the flower the Ukrainian Spirit 🇺🇦

Sarah Michelle Gellar really was the perfect casting choice for Daphne. Like, everyone talks about Matthew Lillard, but Sarah Michelle Gellar did such an amazing perfect job. Animated Daphne should have a gun, but Buffy Daphne IS the gun. I didn’t have a “gay awakening”, but seeing Daphne kick that luchador motherfucker’s ass was definitely a factor. Seriously though, she did such a good job combining damsel and badass, which makes sense because she’s fucking Buffy. Dude. Is there a Buffy/Scooby Doo crossover. I want one. I think Velma and Fred would die of nosebleeds, quite honestly
TLDR: Sarah Michelle Gellar is hot and Buffy is a badass and so is Daphne and we have her to thank

Into the Breach! Storyboarding PACIFIC RIM

Along with working on concept for Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM (you can read about my kaiju designs for Otachi and Slattern here) and some prop work, I also worked on storyboarding the film with Rob McCallum, Francisco Ruiz Velasco and Raúl Monge. Below are a few sample pages to some of the sequences did.

After we were done with most of the concept work, Francisco Ruiz Velasco and myself stayed on to help storyboard artist Rob McCallum with the final sequence to the film and rework changes to earlier sequences after Rob left.

For the breach sequence at the film’s finale, I did tighter color boards to also work out the concept of the “Throat” which led to the Anteverse. More Pacific Rim storyboards in a future post!

This was going to be just a quick warm up doodle before other work, but I liked it enough to finish it.

I just heard my mom tell my brother, “when you die, you will go outside and garden until your father says you’re done” and it took me a second to realize that my brother was playing a videogame and this was not a theological discussion.

speaking of the scary ocean, in the Salish Sea we have bioluminescence in the summer. It’s not like in movies where the whole sea glows. The microorganisms which cause it only glow when they’re disturbed. On a warm, still night the sea is black until you stick your hand in and shake it around, then it lights up blue.
anyway my friends and I dive at night and it’s really cool to watch someone from above because they look like a celestial being in the water, glowing blue underwater.
what is deeply UNNERVING is when a Very Large creature passes you at some distance, and you know because you see a blue, glowing mass go by and you think well, that’s just not my business.
