Do you know what is Black Sky Treatment?

What you see here on these pictures is called Black Sky Treatment. It often happens in the majority of Siberian cities due to emissions from steel industry plants nearby.

The smog is so heavy that it is not recommended for the citizens to leave their homes. One of the last Black sky treatments happened in the beginning of 2021.

It affects not only the people, but the forests and the soil as well. Russian taiga is almost a half of the planet’s largest biome. No wonder such treatment can cause significant ecological consequences harming all of the continent.

A group of local activists with the support of the only ecological party in the country the Green Alternative are trying to draw attention of the local authorities. Although they are making great effort, the success is yet to be completed. Neither local authorities, nor Moscow officials tend to pay attention to the problem, as long as it has been like this since Soviet Union.

Unless real actions are taken, the consequences might be irreparable!

Issue of poaching in Russia

I just saw the photo of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny with a dead moose. I’m genuinely shocked, even though this photo was taken a few years ago. I know that hunting is prohibited in Russia in the summer. Despite this, the photo was obviously taken in the summer time. It appears that Navalny was engaged in poaching? Although I didn’t find any information that he had taken any punishment for this.

The leader of the opposition who aspires to be the President must have great respect for the nature of his country. I don't think that this can still be allowed nowadays. We must show politicians that such entertainment puts an end to their political careers!
