So

My 5th roomate (and new coven member) and I have been doing some urbex lately (I introduced her to it, I have been doing that for a few years now and had several "professionals" tell me I have surpass their skills, whatever that means, I just like exploring old rundown buildings and feel their history honestly) and I decided it was time to go to a site that I had been eyeing for a while.

Lots of people said it was haunted (doubted it) other said it was just more likely that it hadn't had everything shutdown yet (more likely). It was a beautiful four story building with a 10 acer French style garden.

It use to be a hotel ? Or a group of rentals ? Anyway, one if the owners built this giant gazebo that was directly attached to the building and it was so badly made and so bad looking that it became dangerous and made the property value drop. I don't know if that's why it got abandoned (for a fucking gazebo, come on), but it has been desolated for a few years now. I didn't think anyone had tried to explore it yet and I wanted us to take a crack at it.

So on a weekend, my roommate and I got our equipment (remember your masks kids, still water is no joke) and got on our merry way.

The garden was over grown ( ended up looking more like a British style garden, wich are much more beautiful) and the building was beautiful. Tho, I did have to admit that maybe I too would have abandoned the building if I saw this monstrosity of a gazebo attached to it.

It was bad, like really bad. Imagine the mostly ugly and clashing in style gazebo you can. Yeah ? Well it was worse than that.

It took a while to get into the building, but eventually my roommate found a entrance by what looked like a kitchen.

Once we were inside, I immediately got this feeling we weren't alone. Not like, ghost "we're not alone", but like people "we're not alone" ( I know the difference).

My roomate couldn't sense it, she is rather new to the neighborhood coven, so she proceeded. I tried to warn her but it was already too late. She was out of the kitchen, out of my view.

I heard her scream like never before.

I rushed to her side, it looked like she was fine but she was pointing towards something. I look at it, down the dark corridor.

And there, I kid you not, I see him.

My cousin.

The son of my aunt.

Jeremy.

Something you need to know about Jeremy. He's not normal. Like at all. He is wierd, not like, reddit wierd, or even fourchan wierd, just plain old weird.

I found out, a year ago, by total accident that he has this thing.

He is part of group (might be a polycule, I don't know, I don't want to know, my aunt might be part of it, i refuse to think about it) that pretends to be homeless on the weekends. They get into rundown places all by themselves and just. Like. Roleplay???????

It might be a sex thing??????? I don't know??????? He gets really into it, and I quite frankly don't want anything to-do with it anymore.

Anyway, I immediately recognized him in his "ultra hobo self" ( Don't ask, please do not ask) and just. Left. As fast as could.

This is embarrassing enough, but on top of it my roomate insist we go back to "help the man, he clearly wasn't doing well, he probably needs some food or a helping hand". And I just don't know how to explain to her that the "poor homeless man" is actually her TA she has a crush on the rest of the week.

Now that I think about it, he didn't even have a mask incase of still water. I'm going to have to approach him about that. Jesus fucking Christ.

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. On November 7, 2024, Denmark used a racist, culturally biased "parenting competency" test to remove a 2 hour old baby, Zammi, from her loving indigenous Greenlandic Inuit mother, Keira, because her native language, which uses minute facial expressions to communicate, will not be able to "[prepare] the child for the social expectations and codes that are necessary to navigate in Danish society." This test had been recommended not to be used at the federal level before this happened but certain municipalities, including the one this happened in, chose to continue to use it regardless. Not only is this blatantly racist but also violates multiple declarations and conventions that Denmark has signed that protect the rights of indigenous people.
