Heartstopper sucks fat nuts.

I love cliches and tropes and sitcoms and all that jazz.

But it's not gay tropes, it's straight tropes, and gay like yaoi tropes.

And yeah, I know the author isn't cishet yada yada yada, but they should have some fucking uh selfawarness??

Like I'm sure it's enthralling as a comic or a book but it just goes too fast and it's just icky in a way I can't define.

There are two gay kids, and they have a little friend group and a straight group, and idk, it's just gross, like the romance is the plot or that one guys depression and I don't like it, it should not be on a screen.

That would play so well as a chapter, you can tell this is a book, but it doesn't transition to screen well.

And they walk into the sunset at the end when this is supposed to be a serious fucking thing, I don't remember the side characters.

I hate the narration too, like ick ick ick.

It's so gross and I need to know how they did this so I can do it but better and cooler and funnier, cause this show isn't funny at all.
