Every time I open the Jarley tag looking for some fanart of clowns being cute together, there’s 5 new intentionally crosstagged posts from puritans acting like it’s their moral duty to convince Jarleys of the error of their ways. “I hate tagging Jarley but this HAS to get out there” LMAO, shaming people who like fanfiction that rewrites a problematic ship into a fun Bonnie and Clyde thing isn’t a form of activism, get the fuck over yourself. Fascists are gaining power in several countries and we are on the brink of a possible world war, if you care so much about women then go do something actually useful with your time instead of trying to make strangers feel bad about the little bit of harmless escapism we have in this dying world.

It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months. The dichotomy of the Madonna and the Whore. The idea that me as a sexual being and my body as a vessel and gift to my child are two concepts that can co-exist peacefully and powerfully. My body has belonged to the world in many different ways the past few years, and this image is my means of reclaiming my autonomy and establishing my pride and strength as a life force for my human being.
