Stupid, to think he weren’t capable of such destruction; stupid, for him to forget her WRATH. He taunted and teased, a bloodied smile appearing through her vision, the kind to coerced a certain kind of justice— the kind she hadn’t the taste of in far, far too long.   Talia withdrew a dagger from her boot, and with no hesitation, no motion to savour her rage, drove it deep into his belly. Through tears, this was a kind of satisfaction.

breath: shallow, irregular. ribs: fractured. head: throbbing. movement: restricted, wrists and ankles both bound. time. he needs a few moments to recover, for the haze to wear off. surroundings. focus. at much cost, head rises, taking in a room that is emptied save for the chair he is tied to and one tv monitor. a beat for eyes to adjust to the brightness, the image displayed slowly sharpening into clear view. there’s two people on the screen, he recognises them instantly. the words of lex luthor register in his ears, it helps build the pieces of the puzzle  –––  he is there because of luthor. this was a GAME of his, some horror show bruce was meant to watch. there is no doubt the scene he is watching is LIVE, just as there is no doubt that something bad would happen to talia at any moment, and he needed to get to her. hands begin to struggle against the ropes, finding a way to loosen them, gaze shifting between the screen to a blank point where his focus would be less compromised. then, when he turns to the screen again, it happens. 

he sees her charge, and his eyes widen.  ❛  don’t...  ❜    he mutters to himself, half hoping voicing it would do something to stop her. he hoped she would stop at the punch, but the dagger followed quickly after. there was no turning back then.   ❛   NO!   ❜    a vain protest of a man whose code had been broken by a dear one. surely lex had not expected that to be the outcome of his plan. he’d underestimated her, and bruce feels like his hopes for her had, in turn, been too high.

You've probably been asked this before but I'm new to your blog and this is important: favorite Batman/Bruce voice? I grew up with Kevin Conroy and he will forever be Batman for me. How about you?

my thing is that i’m brazilian, so the batman voice i actually grew up listening to was márcio seixas’s, and i actually do like him better than conroy. his batman voice is incredibly deep and just so batman, i think others fall pale in comparison. but again, that just may be my biased for having growing up thinking that was what batman sounded like. so yeah, for me márcio is the ultimate batvoice.
