It was a stormy night, in Neo Gotham of 2048, as it normally was in this town of doom and gloom. A young man with jet black hair, black irises, and the physique of a young aspiring athlete was sitting atop a gargoyle, on the largest building in the city. The building with the letter that brought hope to the civilians of the future, the big W, Wayne enterprises. The young man pulled his cowl over his face, his vision turning to that of a computer hud, as he pressed a small button near what seemed to be a bat ear on his scowling scowl. "Wayne, it's a quiet night.. nothing is really going on out here, you think it's cool if I hang up the cowl and head out? I have a date tonight.," The young man explained, talking into a built in communication device in the cowl.
Another voice could be heard by the young man, this one more gritty and dark, like a man who has seen things no other man should ever have to experience. "Batman doesn't have time for dates, Terry, and Gotham needs Batman. I have a feeling that something is going to happen tonight.. I just don't know what yet..," This voice, belonging to Bruce Wayne, responded to the young Terry's question as if he had an answer already written up to Terry's question.
Terry stood up on the gargoyle, revealing his red bat symbol on his jet black suit, as lightning flashed behind him. "After working with you for nine years.. I've learned to take your advice on things.. but I'm going to need a day off soon. Dana is starting to think I'm seeing other girls!," he explained with a light chuckle to his voice.
"I'm sure she will understand McGinnis, and not because I care or really want to know, but didn't your.. 'relationship' with Dana end after she found out you were Batman?," Bruce asked with a dull tone to his already gruff voice, "That doesn't sound like someone Batman ne-," suddenly Bruce's communications stopped, his gruff voice being replaced with radio silence.
"Wayne? Wayne? Bruce.. BRUCE?!," Terry was now frantic, bruce rarely left him alone when he was out in his batsuit, and his health had been declining with age. He did not hesitate to press a button on his wrist, jump off the building, and immediately landing in his batmobile (which could fly). "Batmobile, go directly to Wayne Manor, and pull out all the stops," Batman ordered his vehicle as his eyes narrowed in the direction of the home, "Be alive old man.. I'm on my way.."
