obligatory i am not indigenous disclaimer but can i be honest. "the other cultures have feathers too!!" argument has always felt purposefully obtuse and going out of its way to make indigenous persons look silly and undermine their concerns. like yeah no shit dipshit but both docs make it very clear the issue is that (a) warriors draws a lot from indigenous groups in north america, very much in a stereotypical way and (b) how the fandom in turn reproduces these stereotypes by using racially charged imagery in designs.

being so honest right now heathertail should’ve taken every plotline given to harestar and then built on them & it’s a disservice to the po3-oots arcs that she didn’t. she has a disregard for the parts of the code she disagrees with, and she’s been turned away by a member of the three as a result, first with compassion but then viciously, with him swearing her as his enemy and threatening her straight after nearly murdering her mentor. he comes close to killing her and the book tells us she *knows* it.

seeing the dark forest pick up on this rivalry, on the way she’s been unfairly treated by lionblaze, and taking advantage of it would have been really interesting. it would have given way more set-up to her relationship with breezepelt and given her more agency in it then being the wife who fixes him later on. it would’ve given her an arc of her own. it would have given her a long-lasting and present relationship with lionblaze, making his chapters significantly stronger. seeing this rebellious little apprentice go from a friendly presence to a serious threat created by the flaws of the main character & the clan system would be fun.

and then eventually, after lionblaze has lost his powers and is struggling, we would see heathertail grow behind the scenes and eventually ascend to leadership of windclan. maybe they would reconcile, maybe they would remain a bitter reminder to each other of the past and what could have been, of childhood friendship tarnished with clan patriotism and needless violence. who knows. but id love to read about it.

CrimsonClan: Stoic, Noble, & Strong

Standing strong for thousands of years, CrimsonClan is nestled in the heart of the mountains. It has had tragedy after tragedy befall its many ranks, surviving only through their wills and their grit.

CobaltClan: Independent, Defiant, & Spirited

Splintered off from CrimsonClan, CobaltClan lives at the base of the mountain on the rocky shore, going against everything the old establishment stands for. For almost their entire life CobaltClan has been at war with CrimsonClan, only just recently coming to a truce with them in the last moon when both leaders decided to abdicate.

The Wild Kingdom: Traditional, Honorable, & Proud

The Kingdom is just as ancient as CrimsonClan, if not more so. For eons they lived closed off from the world, with only the occasional outsider to join their ranks. You can join Sands Colony, a very violent and full of attitude colony that sees beauty in a different light, has an aggressive character and likes to start fights easily? This is the place for them! Or maybe you prefer a more peaceful place that focuses on construction and woodworking, then Trees Colony is your place! They have a strong connection with nature and are great builders. But there is a chance that you want to focus on the spirituality of the island, discovering the mysteries of the spirits that now inhabit the ocean floor, then you fit perfectly with the diplomats and spirited Ocean Colony!

Nook Colonies is a casual RP game that aims to help people who haven't roleplayed in a long time or have no experience at all. We don't have many restrictions and want everyone to feel comfortable! We want everyone to just have fun in this little story.
