LOVE the new sustainable menu @jams_nyc created by the exceptionally talented @chefgingerjpierce. As the Executive Chef of Jams in the @1hotels Central Park, my dear friend Ginger has created a delicious & healthy menu for dine in or take out. @estevino_nyc & I stopped by for lunch, devouring the smoked chicken sandwich (OMG soooo good), S.A.E. sandwich & quinoa salad paired w/ a lovely Bordeaux & cappuccino. Ginger is truly an innovator, constantly evolving her approach to the culinary arts to meet the unprecedented realities of the world we live in, while making every effort to be a good steward of the environment without compromising taste, nutrition or client experience. She & her amazing hubby @chefprestonm took lessons learned from their hunger relief efforts during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to help @holyapostlessoupkitchen modify their daily meal service to an outdoor grab-and-go & help advise on the expansion of the pantry program. Ginger & Preston have made a significant impact as skills-based volunteers, lending their time & talent to help the community. To best serve my community from home, I've been volunteering my services to help @HolyApostlesSoupKitchen with crisis relief management, as their staff and volunteers are on the front lines serving as Emergency Response Food Providers. HASK is the largest soup kitchen in New York State, second largest in the nation, serving 1,000 meals each weekday. They have launched the #OperationHopeFULL to ensure that all New Yorkers in need of hot meals have the support they need to stay nourished and healthy through this crisis and beyond. They transitioned their daily meal service to a "grab-and-go" and expanded their pantry program.
