How to update the map？

& This product is shipped with the latest map installed, and the map is updated about once a year.

&The map can only be updated when there is a new version.

&The offline data used by the map is not an online map. Even after the update, some places may not match the actual road.

How to view the map version？

You can see the map version, for example “2024Q2”

You only need to update it if the released map is newer than the one in your product, for example 2022Q2 is newer than 2021Q2

Please note that whether there is a new map depends on the map released by the map company. Some countries may update the frequency, but some countries update less frequently.

Primo Map Update steps：

1.Prepare tools before updating(usb Cable+Computer+host)

2.Get the new map download link, this link is only provided by the seller, Or get it in our article below .the one you download from other websites is not applicable to this device.

3.Open the map link to download the map data to your computer disk,and Unzip the downloaded file to get some map data folders（map+poi+phoneme+speedcam）

4. Use the data cable to connect the host to the computer

5. Delete four old data folders（map/poi/phoneme/speedcam） in the map.

Different versions may exist in different paths：

“primo”---“content”----MAP+POI+Phoneme+SPEEDCAM

“Primo-XX”----“content”----MAP+POI+Phoneme+SPEEDCAM

“maps”---“content”----MAP+POI+Phoneme+SPEEDCAM

6.After deleting the old data, copy the new data folder to the same location

7.Unplug the data cable and the update is complete

Navitel Map Update steps：

Notes:

1. The new map data needs to be placed in the original file path and cannot be changed or renamed.

2. If it prompts that the disk capacity is insufficient, you can delete unnecessary countries in the new data or host disk to free up space.

3. Different versions on the disk will have different file structures. Do not change or delete any files, just update the data.
