☀️💙Becoming Lugh's Godspouse☀️💙

I was speaking to one of my new guides, a Phoenix named Laetha, when Lugh approached with a newer appearance than before saying he had an urgent message for me and needed my immediate attention. I said goodbye to my Guide and turned my attention to Lugh, one of my Patrons but not my Main.

Shuffling my tarot deck three cards appear- 8 of Wands, Sun, and Lovers. I did not know what he meant and I have gotten the 8 of Wands from him before but knowing him, he had never given me love cards before and I was not working with him on self-love and such. During that time for some odd reason, I was pulled into learning more about "godspouse". Sadly it was through social media but it gave me a starting boost to research it more.

When learning about godspousing, I could feel Lugh's energy become more intense. I could feel Lugh's usual warm energy grow hotter and hotter, wrapping around me as if he were hugging me. I could feel he wanted me to accept him but while learning about godspousing, I learned to vet and gather confirmation. And so I did. I dared not to believe he wanted to godspouse me and it isn't that I did nor trust him, I didn't trust myself. How was I worthy enough for a Deity of Many Talents?

I have gotten over a dozen confirmation and I had vetted over and over. The night I went to bed, I decided to astral project, I went to find Lugh. When I found him, I told him I accept his proposal. He pulled me into his arms and kissed me.

"Finally." were his words

☀️JOURNEY WITH LUGH☀️

My journey with Lugh started with a simple research when I was 16. I was only reading upon witchcraft and everything Celtic, it's history, mythologys surrounding the culture, etc...it was when I decided to look up different holidays and the history behind them. It was one particular holiday that caught my full attention above all else. That holiday was known as Lughnasadh.

I've always been an extremely curious being and sometimes okay most of the time it has gotten me into loads of trouble but this type of curiosity I cannot describe in words how strong the pull was. My fingers typing away, clicking on various links, took me to the history behind Lughnasadh and what it was named after. It was then I found the name Lugh.

Of course at the time I most likely have pronounced it wrong but I felt the energy pull grow stronger and stronger as I read more about the young deity name. After reading just a small piece about him, I found myself wanting more, I found myself wanting to go to Ireland, wanting to meet Lugh himself.

I felt myself become disappointed, living in America. Although I adore living in America, I felt it wasn't my true home, not even my birth home South Korea felt like my true home. I have never prayed or spoke to a deity but the one word I asked was "are you truly real?" cause that had been a struggle for me due to being raised only worshipping Yahweh.

A flash of light blinded my eyes but it was gentle and warm, a soft voice echoed in my ear. "Who what..." I was taken aback. "I am the one you have been researching about. My name is Lugh and my festival is near approaching."

So, not yet working with Deities I simply continued researching about him and everything associated with him. I wasn't able to celebrate Lughnasadh at the time in ways others do but I did not forget. I felt happy, fulfilled, but also lost. Lost because I did not know if this was acceptable, I was assured it was with a warm gentle touch.

A year later, I finally accepted myself as being a Witch. The very deity whom I had met a year before, approached me with signs and said- "I want to work with you. You possess many talents and I want to help you hone those talents. You want the right kind of justice and I want to help you place yourself high as the king you were meant to be." So my Deity work with Lugh began

There was a time when I needed a break, a mental break. I was so lost and drained. I was working with Lugh and three others. One who has been with me since childhood and two who came after two different tragic events. They all respected my wish and kept watch over me until I was ready to return

Ive never been the perfect witch and I be considered a lazy witch but I never forget to honor, give offerings, and talk to the Deities I work with.

It was of this year did I get a message from Lugh, a message in which I never thought I ever get.

☀️LUGH☀️

Lugh or Lug or Luc is the Irish Deity of the Sun, Storms, Oaths, Justice, and Arts; he is the Jack of all Traits, possessing many talents. He is the Patron of Kings, Blacksmiths, Artists, and Warriors. Lugh is half Tuatha de Danann and half Fomorian. His Tarot Card maybe represented by Justice and Sun.

Lugh is the son of Cian and Ethniu, grandson of Balor of the Evil Eye, possible foster son of Manannán mac Lir, and son of Ulster Cycle Hero- Cu Chulainn.

Lugh's most notable tale is that of the battle of Mag Tuired against his grandfather Balor.

☀️PRIOR TO/ BIRTH OF LUGH☀️

Before his birth, a prophecy was foretold to Balor that one of his grandchildren will slay him. To prevent such an event he had his daughter locked in a tower where she was cared for by 12 women and not knowing about the existence of man. Lugh's father Cian, was helping Manannan mac Lir retrieve a stolen magic cow who was said to give such an abundant milk to everyone.

Upon seeing a tower, he climbs up to where he meets Ethniu. Together they had a night of leisure and she bore him triplets.

Word got out and Balor had all children drown with only one being saved by Manannan mac Lir himself and possible fostered so not to raise suspension. That child was Lugh.

☀️TUATHA DE DANANN VS. FOMORIANS☀️

Years later as a young man, Lugh travels to Tata to join the court of King Nuada of the Tuatha Dé Danann. The doorkeeper will not let him in unless he has a skill he can use to serve the king. He offers his services as a wright, a smith, a champion, a swordsman, a harpist, a hero, a poet, historian, a sorcerer, and a craftsman, but each time is rejected as the Tuatha Dé Danann already have someone with that skill. When Lugh asks if they have anyone with all those skills simultaneously, the doorkeeper has to admit defeat, and Lugh joins the court and is appointed Cheif Ollam of Ireland.

During the Second Battle of Mag Tuireadh against the Fomorians, King Nuada of Tuatha de Danann is killed in battle by Balor. Lugh then faces Balor, who opens his poisonous eye that kills all it looks upon.  In other stories it was told that Lugh used a spear that never missed its mark so bloodthirsty that it will go out to find war but in reality however, Lugh shoots a stone from a sling-shot that drives his eye out the back of his head, killing Balor.

☀️FAMILY☀️

Father- Cian, Son of Dian Cedh, healer of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Although some speculate he could be the Son of Danu.

Foster Father- Possibly Manannan mac Lir, the Deity of the Sea

Mother-Ethniu, Daughter of Balor of Evil Eye

Foster Mother-Possibly Tailtiu

Grandfather- Balor of Evil Eye. Leader of the Fomorians and Father of Ethniu. His life was ended by his own grandson due to a prophecy.

Son- Cu Chulainn. His name translates as "Chulainn's Hound" and he's known as the great hero of the Ulster Cycle. Lugh had once came to his son's aid, saving his life.

☀️TITLES☀️

One of Lugh's most infamous titles is Lugh Lamfada meaning Lugh of Long Arm. Not meaning he had long arms but because of the length of the spear he was given.

Ildanach- Skilled God as he was known to possess many talents. He is the Jack of all Traits.

Macnia- Youthful Warrior. It was said that he was very youthful looking or that he could have actually been a youth.

Lonnbeimnech- Fierce Striker. This title is probably best known for when he strikes Balor's eye.

Conmac- Son of Hound.

☀️WEAPONS☀️

Lugh's most infamous weapon is the Spear of Assal. It is one of the Four Jewels of the Tuatha Dé Danann. This spear was unbeatable in battle and could take the form of lightning when thrown. With a word “Ibar”, it hit its mark; with another “Athibar!” it returns to him.

Cloich tabaill, or slingshot, wielded in battle against Balor of the Evil Eye.

Fragarach, or “The Answerer,” sword of his foster-father Manannán. The sword would force those it was pointed at to answer questions truthfully

Lugh's Sabbat is Lughnasadh. A holiday that falls on every August 1st. This festival celebrates the beginning of the harvest season. Many people have suggested this holiday was dedicated in honor of Lugh's foster mother while others believe it to be translated as "Lugh's Wedding".

Animals that are associated with Lugh are- lion, horses, raven, stag, crow, hound, lynx.

What is a Godspouse?

Godspouse in terms means to be devoted to/having a relationship with a deity, demi-god, angel, demon, etc... who wishes to godspouse you.

Godspouse is a valid and ancient practice. Most, if not all godspouse is a polyamorous type relationships, all parties must agree and boundaries are of course set before and even during Godspousing.

In my own words, I would describe godspousing as- Emperor, Empress, and Concubine. The Emperor or Empress(depending who you spoused to) will have many Concubines and all are loved, cherished, and treated equally and with respect but the Emperor or Empress is in terms "higher" as the Emperor and Empress were married first, there is no crossing the line and getting in-between.

Not everyone will become a godspouse and no entity will godspouse a minor.

You can say "no", they're not going to "smite" you if you do. Being a godspouse does not mean you are entitled nor more loved/special than those who aren't.

Being a godspouse is hard work, much like being a High Priest/Priestess but can be rewarding.

Most godspouses(that I know of) their spouses have been with them through multiple life times and were even godspoused to them in the past.

How is one Godspoused?

The Deity, Demi-god, Angel, Demon, Spirit, etc...will approach you about it. To approach them about it would be considered disrespectful.

How do you know if they are wanting to Godspouse?

There are various ways depending on who you are. If you have Clairsense they'll approach you with that. Some do Tarot/Oracle Messages. Some will approach you in your dreams or in the astral plane. It's whatever.

Vetting is another important thing when it comes to godspousing. Lots of it as Godspousing is a sacred and loving thing, it can also be dangerous as you are being courted/married to an entity.

Who can be a Godspouse?

Anyone can but not everyone. Like I said, they will not godspouse minors and to say "that's what they did in the ancient times" I am sure the gods didn't like that either plus in ancient times people did not live as long and had a way of life not used to by us.

Are there any requirements?

It depends on the ones you are spoused to. They'll have boundaries just like you. It's important to speak to them about it. It's like being in any relationship with a human partner.

Deities I(Cain) heavily work with-

Gwyn ap Nudd/Arawn- Patron. He is the Welsh Deity of Annwn, Revenge, Terror, and Death. Gwyn ap Nudd is the King of the Fae and leader of the Wild Hunt in the Celtic Pantheon.

Lugh- Irish Deity of the Sun, Storms, and Arts. He is the Patron of Kings, is known ad Lugh of Long Arm symbolizing his spear- Gae Assail and is known to possess many skills. Lugh is half Tuatha Dé Danann and half Fomorian. I am a godspouse to him.

Lucifer- The Light Bringer. One of the Infernal Divine, Lucifer is known as the archangel who "fell from heaven". He is one of the Goetic Demons I work with and he is the Deity of Truth, Rebellion, and Light. He is represented as the Demon of Pride. I work with the Angelic, Draconic, and Demon aspect of Lucifer. I am a godspouse to him.

Beelzebub- Lord of the Flies. Another one of the Infernal Divine, Beelzebub was once a Caananite deity capable of bringing down empires. In terms of Abrahamic Pantheon, he was once Lucifer's right hand man in the rebellion. Beelzebub and Bael are often thought to be the same entity but for now it is uncertain. He is represented as the Demon of Gluttony. I am also a godspouse to him.

Asmodeus- The third Infernal Divine I work with. Asmodeus is known to be a Demon of Lust and an Incubus. Asmodeus is also associated with gambling.

Archangel Gabriel/Gavriyel- The Archangel of Messages and Destruction. Gabriel/Gavriyel was the left hand of Yahweh before he decided to reside on Earth. In the Abrahamic Pantheon is the one known to tell about the coming of Jesus.

Archangel Michael- The Commander of the Archangels. Michael was the right hand of Yahweh and the one who led the Archangels against his brother.

Tsukuyomi no Mikoto- Shinto deity of the Moon. He is the brother Amaterasu and Susanoo and consort of Amaterasu. A perfectionist deity, he eliminated another deity causing him to be cast out by his consort/sister and for eternity, having him chase her .

Poseidon- Deity of the Sea, Poseidon is of the Hellenic Pantheon. He is the brother of Zeus and Hades. He has a wife named Amphirite.

Hades- King of the Underworld. He is of the Hellenic Pantheon and elder brother of Zeus and Poseidon. He is NOT the Deity of Death. Hades has a wife named Persephone and a dog-Cerberus.

Liu Chen Xiang- Demi God of the Chinese Pantheon. He was born from a Deity Mother and Mortal Father. Chen Xiang is a master cultivator who was once trained under Sun Wukong.
