Idk, when I hear about the Betas, I just remember how ppl make Beta Luz a pedophile in almost every fanfic/comic, and that one fanfic of Alador and Odalia where they graphically violate Luz.

Is it just me or does anyone else HATE how Beta Lumity is normally written.

Beta Luz is usually fine; she is an edger version of Luz that is quicker to violence and snarkier but is still a dork with a good heart at the end of the day

Beta Amity, on the other hand, is often written to be a possessive womanchild with a hair trigger temper, who is physically violent towards Beta Luz.

That's how regular Amity is mischaraterized so it's no wonder the Betas were so popular, they were the embodiment of bad fanon Lumity.

And also an example how the fandom obsesses over the version of the show they make up in thier head. By LITERALLY obssesing the version of the characters they made up in their head.

Fans even decided that BOTH Luz and Amity should hate each other (Luz never hated Amity) because they want "sexual tension". Like be fucking fr, you don't ship Luz and Amity. You ship Tori and Jade from Victorious and are projecting it onto the cutesy ship that's actually canon to make it "hotter".

I've hated the Betas since the beginning and I had to live through everyone obsessing over them. Along with everyone's fanon version of Alador x Odalia when everyone was thirsting over them too.

same anon as the odalia ask. You can pretty clearly tell that odalia knowing about the day of unity was just a way to get people to hate her more. Odalia isnt honestly that bad and she has some good qualities. i mean, odalia is very charismatic but her charisma gets overlooked. i feel like the main reason her hate is this excessive is because of how much the owl house fandom babies luz and amity and get triggered whenever a chaarcter is doing anything bad to them. You cant even say odalia is abusive since we see amity is no longer controlled by her at all. Like Odalias opinion doesnt matter to amity. Shes just a harsh parent.
