[⚰️] Oh gosh. My activity has been INCREDIBLY spotty, so maybe that’s how I slipped by unnoticed. But yeah!      Against the pristine snow, the blood trail that she carelessly left behind was stark. Small droplets had tumbled and spread into the white creating arcs of scarlet. The sickening smell of metal and rotting flesh wafting through the icy air in a choking aroma. Heaving with every attempt to gain an ounce of breath, her drained victim tipped their chin into the sharpened edge of her blade, tempting the assailant to put an end to their suffering... and half-hoping she would. Only to receive a coquettish chortle for even implying that they would be given such a luxury.

      Frozen heart shifting at the sight of her beatific smile, as she meticulously paced in circles around her prey’s bleeding frame. Ceasing in her movements upon overhearing the crisp sounds of leaves crumbling behind her. Ears perking up, quick to sense there was caution in the stranger’s footsteps. The assurance that they could approach without being detected coming to an end, as her visage averted towards lithe blade that was slowly rising out from the brush. Her lips instantly curling in malicious pleasure, now that she could see the weapon’s wielder.

     “ You again? “ She coyly asked, whilst observing the boy’s posture. His stance seemingly more matured and refined than their first encounter, yet the rapid shallow breaths pluming from his chest made it all the more evident that he knew he was outclassed. How amusing for him to assume a lack of fear could only be obtained from mastery rather than raw nerve. “ What a surprise. You’re developing quite the insatiable habit of interfering with my work. Either that or I just can’t keep you away... “ Mellifluously teasing the frequent thorn in her side, as she momentarily left her intended target to the wayside.

      Alas, there was little time given for the two to become reacquainted. For her to taunt and play with his visible insecurities. Unwisely, the edge of his sword swinging in her general direction, with novice-like apprehension; only for his efforts to be discarded with a leisurely sidestep. Her features contorting to that of a wretched, stained smile as her daggers selfishly shivered in anticipation. Lips smacking silently with the gentle stroke of her tongue.

      “ If I may make one simple request? Please don’t leave me so soon. I want you to see the treasures that you carry before the light dies in your eyes... “ She ominously mused. Precision eagerly favoring its mark, as the tips of her twin blades slashed through his stomach in a facile sweep. In a twinkle of her glistening eyes, the bloody nest of the boy’s intestines promptly spilling out to his feet, whilst beckoning to let out a hushed scream that would not escape. To her own morbid delight, dropping down to a single knee as she scooped up the foolish hero’s visceral gifts with an expression of sheer bliss.

      “ They’re... so... heavy! Ah~ “ She happily chirped, delicately stroking the foul-scented innards as if they were a prize meant to be handled with care. Violet orbs peering upwards at the boy, none the least bit attentive to the sudden paleness of his fleeting complexion. “ Oh, where are my manners? Would you like to hold them too? “

     “ Listen... FUCKFACE! “ Travis crudely bellowed out to the bakery’s cashier. Completely unfazed by the mortified mumbling and chatter by the couple in line behind him whom were visibly befuddled by the scene unfolding in front of them. The tension seemingly becoming more palpable as a hand reached across the counter to pull the hapless cake slave across the counter. “ I don’t need to stress this any further! She’s NOT just a cat! She’s my cat, her name is Jeane, and today is her birthday! Now, I want you to stomp right back in that kitchen and refrost her cake before I lob off your head and use it as a wedding cake topper after I’m done SKULLFUCKING it! ” 

      Of course, that last line easily swaying that nosy couple to make a hasty retreat towards the exit. Nevertheless, it wasn’t as if the otaku assassin’s vulgar display had any intentions of channeling your local Karen. More so, he understandably expected nothing less of perfection when it came to commemorating the birth of his feline companion. Regrettably, something that failed to be achieved upon seeing the frosting-to-cake ratio on her birthday cake being criminally uneven. Could you blame him?!

     Releasing the cashier who quickly fled into the kitchen, Travis impatiently tapped his fingers onto the countertop’s glass panels; no ounce of care granted to his prints smudging the surface of the displays. The tint of his aviator shades gleaming upon noticing the backdoor gently swing open, presuming that the one responsible for baking the aforementioned cake had been summoned. Huffing out an exasperated sigh, as he fully turned to face the baker in question.

                 ( Naturally, the cashier just had to be an absolute pussy about this. )

        “ Look, I don’t want to make you feel bad. Could I just get what I fuckin’ paid for? “
