The fact that she was allowed to move freely in the halls of Thranduil was down to Legolas. At least as long as they were together. She had been found one night in the forest, injured, attacked by the spiders, and Legolas had found her and saved her, taken her with him and cared for her. But she was still a mystery he had to solve. Wanted to solve. "Tell me, Vika, are they treating you well?" He couldn't stay with her all the time, he had many duties to perform, and she was not in one of the iron cells, but was allowed to live in a kind of room, friendly and green.
