I've been writing a long fic / lit for my partner and it's been doing surprisingly well. Ofc I'd still like to have feedback and criticism when it comes to writing but I'm proud to be writing again tbr lol

It doesn't feel like an obligation but rather smth I'm having fun with. I guess I've been intimidated for too long because I had a couple of bad fics in the past. Whatever. I'm free now.

I don't think I'll be posting most of them publicly... But we'll see.

Actually wait ignore that one more thought. I think this is why I really can't get behind underfell asgore. It takes what was a hasty anger made decision of asgores and turns it into his central character. Asgore may have hated humans and I do like playing with the idea of him having complicated thoughts towards them, but his war was not something he wanted. He loved chara and he loved asriel and he loved toriel and he loved monsterkind. Underfell asgore just...doesn't have any of that. He's stock evil king. He's boring. He's got none of the grief and tragedy and regret that defines asgore and replaces it all with anger and rage and YES that was asgores big mistake but his regret is so much more important than his rage is. He so deeply wishes to return to the past but he can't. He's boring. His dynamic with chara is so much flatter and uninteresting if he hates them and kills them immediately. His dynamic with toriel is also boring and uninteresting. Toriel hating him just doesn't hit as right when asgore really is a scummy bastard. Really I'm trying to think of how I'd solve it but asgores reluctance is too big of a character trait for me to ignore so I just can't think of him as someone who would be encouraging monsters to kill each other. Even going with the idea that he only succumbs to his rage after they die it STILL doesn't fit him as a character.
