FAQ112 Can I go ahead with the assessment without undertaking the scoping call ?
No, the scoping call is an important step of the assessment process at Great Place To Work Institute. The objective of a scoping call is to identify the objectives and benefits that a company wants to achieve from the assessment. This will define the depth of insights and support the client organization will gain access to from this assessment. It involves a conference call between the Project Managers from GPTW and the CEO, HR Head and Project Coordinator from the company, which can be scheduled from the company's dashboard. FAQ055 How is the sample size determined?
For the consideration of ranking, Great Place To Work® Institute considers a statistically valid representative sample which is a subset of the overall employee strength. However, participating organisations have an option of increasing this sample depending on how they wish to utilize the survey data. They can connect with their respective Assessment Managers from Great Place To Work® Institute to discuss the same.
The participating organisation should discuss and finalise the scope of coverage and customisation of demographics, if required, prior to the survey launch date. Great Place To Work® Institute will draw a random sample based on the scope finalised and share the same with the participating organization before administering the survey.
The sample would be drawn based on the stratifier chosen by your organization. The sample drawn will represent your organization's actual population proportionately across that demographic. For instance, if you choose 'Grade/Level' as the stratifier, the sample would be drawn in following manner:
Total Employees: 500 Total Sample: 100 Grade: Percentage No. of Grade: Percentage No. of of Employees Employees of Employees Employees Grade 1 10 50 Grade 1 10 10 Grade 2 30 150 Grade 2 30 30 Grade 3 25 125 Grade 3 25 25 Grade 4 30 150 Grade 4 30 30 Grade 5 5 25 Grade 5 5 5

FAQ109 Do all organizations that undergo an assessment year on year see an increase in their Trust Index© scores and what is the average increase?
There is no specific trend. Many organizations choose to do this year on year. Many others do it alternate years. Undergoing the assessment year on year does not in itself necessarily lead to an increase in Trust Index© scores. Changes in an organization’s Trust Index© scores is driven by the action plans pursued by the organization based on its Trust Index© scores.

FAQ096 What is a stratifier?
For the consideration of ranking, Great Place To Work® Institute considers a statistically valid representative sample which is a subset of the overall employee strength. This sample is randomly selected on the basis of one basic demographic, called the stratifier, which the company can choose from the three basic demographics available.
The three basic demographics are location, department and grade. These demographics are standard for all participating organisations and the sample drawn will represent your organization's actual population in that demography proportionally on the basis of which stratifier is chosen. However, participating organisations have an option of increasing this sample depending on how they wish to utilize the survey data. They can connect with their respective Assessment managers from Great Place To Work® Institute to discuss the same.
