Oliver picked up a peanut from the basket on the bar and tossed it up in the air, tilting his head back so he could catch it in his mouth. “You know, all of you showed up and started encroaching on my turf,” he said. “It’s only fair that you all buy me drinks whenever possible,” Oliver said smugly. While the first part may have been true—Oliver certainly had been the first hero to truly make Star City his own, ever since he had returned from the island and taken on the mantle of Green Arrow—the second part was certainly questionable. “So, come on, pay up!”

Roman Sionis was– protective of his little songbird to say the least. He took Dinah in when she was eighteen and going through some rough feelings about her deceased mother. The club had been an escape for Dinah for years now, and even when she thought she was done, Roman drew her back in. She supposed she enjoyed running back to things that were familiar… which obviously explained her relationship with Ollie. Her favorite nights though were the ones when he came to watch her– mostly because they very rarely happened.
Dinah let out a small sigh, scanning the crowd before pulling Oliver back behind the curtains. “Lucky for you, I was actually thinking about wearing it home tonight.” She grinned, leaning in to plant a deep kiss to his lips. When she pulled away, her arms wrapped loosely around his neck. “You know Roman doesn’t like you showing up here..” Dinah spoke quietly. Not that she ever really listened to Roman anyway, but she knew Green Arrow lurking around was bound to cause some sort of scene.

Ollie was never going to be the kind of person who was afraid of people like Roman Sionis. He was a two-bit crime lord, and the only reason Oliver hadn’t kicked his ass out of Star City yet was because of his connection to Dinah. Even so, that connection had been the cause of many fights between Dinah and Ollie, enough that it had led them to break up on more than one occasion. For the time being, Ollie had made his peace with Dinah’s involvement with Roman, but he wasn’t going to pretend to be okay with it.
“Ooh, tonight’s my lucky night, then,” he said with a grin, kissing her once more. “You know I’m not afraid of Roman,” he replied. “Are you?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at her as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close as he leaned back against the wall behind the curtain. He brought one hand to tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear before pinching her chin playfully. He kept his tone light; the last thing they needed was to get into another fight that was going to end up going in circles.

He’d shown up only as himself, no cape or giant S to be seen for the time being - only Clark Kent pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. “Well, I didn’t come all the way out here just to listen to you sigh. I heard it from the road, by the way. That loud.” He gave a little smile as he said it. “What’s on your mind?” Given the state of flux the city was in and all the usual trappings of life, he imagined that it was likely plenty. Clark certainly had a lot on his at all times. There was never a shortage of worry or wondering.
He nodded over his shoulder, figuring they could leave Ollie’s untouched targets behind. Clark didn’t have much use for a shooting range, and right then it didn’t look as if his friend did either. “Shall we?”

“Well, that’s not fair, you have the whole special hearing thing going for you,” Ollie replied, wrinkling his nose at Clark. “I’m sure it’s the same thing that’s on your mind, too,” he said, locking up his case carrying his bow and picking it up in one hand, slinging his quiver over his shoulder as he started walking away from the shooting range. While Oliver had certainly been in Star City the longest out of the heroes who now called this place their home, he was grateful for the help in taking care of the city that had so long been struggling under the weight of the ban and of villains before that.
He sighed. “We have to figure out what’s next.” It wasn’t any secret that the operation to take out NOVA had been drastic and required plenty of planning. If they didn’t start soon, there was no telling what would happen next. They needed to take NOVA out.

Oliver certainly didn’t expect any sort of kindness from anyone connected to Roy—and he didn’t deserve it. If there was one thing that Ollie would go back in his life and redo it was that—the day he kicked Roy out. It was one of the worst mistakes of his life, and Oliver had made plenty of mistakes. He let his anger get the best of him, and he saw in Roy too much of himself. It made him afraid. It made him feel like he was failing Roy, but the only failure that day had been Oliver’s lack of support.
He was thinking about all of this, sitting on a rooftop in his Green Arrow get up and smoking a cigarette—even though he had sworn off them years ago, he still smoked when he was stressed. It was a nasty habit, he knew that. He knew that someone was behind him before he turned, and upon seeing Jason, he blew out a cloud of smoke. “I know, I should have quit for real a long time ago.”

Suffice to say, Teddy hadn’t been a very confident kid (he was barely a confident adult) and making friends had been difficult for him. But, somehow, he and Oliver had made a bond that lasted decades by this point. So, when the other turned up at his modest company building in Star City he wasn’t surprised to see him dumping some frankly amazing smelling food on the desk and demanding he hang it up for the day.
“Hello to you too.” he smirked, though it didn’t last long, “I gotta finish these reports for Melody and you know I can’t eat that. I’m on a diet.” Just as he finished speaking his belly grumbled in protests, “Sush you.” he snapped down at his stomach, “I’m watching my health, remember?” Food was the enemy and all that. “I didn’t know you were back in the city though, why didn’t you call me? Hey! Did you know Booster’s back!? With a kid!?” he suddenly asked.

Oliver and Ted. Ted and Oliver. Ever since they were kids, they were thick as thieves, Ollie often pulling Ted into his hare-brained schemes and Ted convincing Oliver not to do his usual mischievous shit at galas that they were forced to go to as teenagers. Their friendship had lasted through decades and even through Oliver’s disappearance and their subsequent careers as heroes. When others had faded into the background of Ollie’s memory, Ted never did.
“Oh, shut up and eat the dumplings,” he said, opening up at the bag and shaking his head at Ted. “Your diet will not be ruined by one night of stupid good food,” he added. He grinned at Ted. “Yeah, I just got back. Of course, I had to come see my best buddy first,” Ollie said. His eyebrow raised. “Interesting that the first thing you bring up to me is Booster, Teddy,” he replied impishly.

Oliver liked to go see Dinah sing every now and again—most nights, he was too busy being Green Arrow to spend much time at the club, but there were a few nights a month he tried to spend doing things that he would do if he were just a little bit more normal—if he wasn’t Green Arrow and didn’t insist on telling everyone about the fact. Even walking into the club that night, he knew he drew some judgmental stares, but he tried to pay them no mind. It just came with the territory.
When Dinah was finished, he sidled up by the stage, and once she was done accepting compliments from some of the other patrons, he gave her a cheeky grin. “Do you accept tips?” he asked. “Because my tip is that you should wear that dress more often, Pretty Bird,” he teased. When Dinah and Ollie weren’t together, they were terrible to one another, but when they were together, they were damn near perfect.

Oliver was trying to track down a drug dealer in the Narrows—someone new on the scene, with a new drug and a new way to hurt the people of his city. Of course, things were a little more difficult for Ollie now that his identity was public—even after four years of people knowing who he was, he still was startled by the way he would get arrested for his activities the night before, the way that paparazzi  would see him in the suit and immediately start yelling Mr. Queen!
He didn’t let that stop him, however, and he was tracking the dealers down to the shipyards when he saw that someone had already beaten him to the punch. Roy, of course, was more than capable of handling the situation on his own, and Oliver was more impressed than he would ever admit as he watched the ease with which Roy took down the baddies on the dock.
Oliver dropped down so that he was a few feet away from Roy, raising his arms in surrender—he was fairly certain Roy was more inclined to shoot him than listen to him talk. “So, you’ve heard about this new shit, too?” he asked, pushing his hood off his head. “Wild concept: we put our heads together for a sec and try and figure out where the hell this guy is.”

Oliver had a deal with the local shooting range to let him have free rein of the outdoor range when he needed to blow off some steam. Targets popped up in front of him and he shot them with deadly accuracy each time, finding the whole thing just a little bit too easy to really help him take out some of his frustrations. It was even more frustrating then, and Oliver dropped his arms to his sides with a huff, watching the targets pop up with a mild disinterest before he pulled his finger tab off with his teeth and dropped his bow into the open case at his feet.
At the sound of someone behind him, he whipped his head around, but relaxed when he saw it was Clark. “Clark, hey, you got my message,” he said, pulling his quiver off his shoulder and balancing it against his leg. “I wanted to pick your brain about some stuff. Got a minute for a coffee?”

Oliver was moving the salt and pepper shakers around the table as if they were pieces in a game of risk, plucking a fry off Michael’s plate to add to the story. “Listen, if the salt is SCPD and the pepper is NOVA, let’s say I’m the fry—” He held up the fry and put it in the middle. “NOVA has been gunning for me this whole time—” He lifted the pepper as if to smash the fry. “But SCPD has gotten in the way.” He lifted the salt shaker and put it between the pepper and the fry.
“But now NOVA is gone,” Oliver shoved the pepper to the side. “So where does that leave me and the PD?” he asked, before sprinkling some salt on the fry and popping it in his mouth. “They are all over me, dude.” Was that a convoluted way to explain something simple? Absolutely, but Oliver always had a flair for the dramatic.

Oliver and Ted had a friendship that extended decades at this point, and it was one of the most important relationships in Oliver’s life. There were a few people he considered to be his best friends, and Ted was in that number—one of the few people who knew Oliver from his sadder younger days, one of the first people to check on Ollie, truly check on him, when he came back from the island, and one of the first people to know Oliver’s true identity.
That was why he liked to check in with Ted every now and then, even if Ted wasn’t expecting it. He dropped the bag with takeout on Ted’s desk in his office with a grin on his features. “I’ve decided that you’re done working for the day,” he said, plopping into the seat across from him. “Come on, eat, it’s important that a growing boy like you gets all the vitamins and nutrients he needs.”

1) Oliver’s chili is the spiciest chili known to man. Most people can’t eat it because it is so damn spicy.
2) Ollie spent a whole year on the island where he was marooned, and spent most of that time knowing fuck all about surviving because he’s a dumb rich boy.
3) For fun, Ollie likes to do that dumb thing where you toss a piece of paper into a garbage can across the room and yell “Kobe!” Despite being an expert marksman, he almost always misses.
4. List four personality traits (two positive and two negative) and explain how they influence your character.
+ adventurous
Ollie’s adventurous spirit has led to him being a funny, fun, and wild vigilante, which is what he likes about himself.
+ free-spirited
Oliver has the kind of personality where he can try a million different things and want to try a million more, no matter how terribly some of his little personal experiments end up. He loves his independence and he loves the opportunity to be a new person every day.
- hotheaded
Ollie has a temper, but it’s usually for the right reasons. He just sometimes goes about the right things in the wrong way.

Oliver has always been a sort of indecisive, fickle kind of person. He doesnt like to be tied down, so he doesn’t like committing to things.
5. Provide three potential plots you’d like to explore. The admins will do our best to accommodate your plot ideas, but we can’t guarantee all requests.
1) Justice League! I’d love for Ollie to be in the current Justice League/Avengers squad for the next time they do stuff!
2) If any characters are looking for work, it would be cool if some of them worked with or for QI. I’d love to explore that side of Ollie’s character a little more.
3) Someone be Ollie’s arch-nemesis please
character bio
At the beginning of the ban, Oliver continued on as Green Arrow. He didn't see any reason for him to stop, especially in Star City, his hometown where he has been lauded as a hero for years. However, he knew that he couldn't keep going on without making some changes—without putting a face to his actions and without owning up for what he's doing. So, about 3 years into the ban, he decided to take the radical decision of unmasking himself, making his identity public to everyone as a show of support for other heroes and as a way to take responsibility for his actions.
Since then, Oliver has continued on as Green Arrow, fighting the good fight and getting arrested a few times in the process for violations of the ban. However, he hasn't let that stop him, as he's definitely not the kind of person who ever learns from his lessons, and no matter how many times he gets arrested or gets in trouble, he was going to continue doing what he felt was right. Oliver has always been stubborn in that way.
In the last few years, Queen Industries has taken off in the private sector—their government contracts have long since dried up because of the way that Oliver is vocally outspoken against the ban, but people who don't believe in the ban have been more than happy to fund the various industries that his company is involved in. Overall, the ban had been good for Oliver. He no longer had to hide who he was to do what he felt was right.
