Urban gardening on the rise
The generation of vertical scale; high office buildings are being built, elevated townhouses are making its mark, and lofty condominiums are preferred by young professionals. 聽A space for us to take care of plants is limited. Creating an area for us to cultivate plants in our living space is a challenge. However it also brings out our creative juices flowing when bringing home a plant to blend with the design of our home.
We appreciate plants as an added flair to our home. Having plants in the house bring out the daintiness of paint of the wall.
Bringing home a plant is joy. Taking care of the plant is calmness; it allows us to nourish it and see it grow.Enjoy nature in your home by creating a garden in a pot.
Gardening comes from the heart. It needs sprinkle of LOVE and gallons of PATIENCE.

A cactus is an intimidating plant to grow. However, I realized that it is simple to cultivate and it has a detailed structure which makes it interesting. 聽
The cacti in a bear ceramic pot is from my sister in law鈥檚 plant collection.

Urban Gardening as a Lifestyle
During my childhood, I observed my parents plant indoor and outdoor plants on their leisure time. There were orchids, cypress, palm, and other ornamental plants in our veranda. In front of our fences is a facade of santan that when come into flower; yellow and red posies attract butterflies and dragonflies.
In day time, there were birds chirping and hens laying eggs in our yard. Flock of birds feast on the bullet chillies in our backyard. At night, it is usually the sound of bats squeaking as there were fruit trees; mango, santol, coconut, aratilis, camachile, banana, and guava in our yard. Since bats like to eat fruits they trip to our yard at night.
As years progress, there鈥檚 not a lot of space for people to do gardening. However, there are people who are into urban gardening. We may not be able to plant fruit bearing trees in the city but we could choose a plant for small spaces and pick a plant that doesn鈥檛 require too much attention of busy people. It is a loving way to help the environment for today and future generation.

Turn everyday items into reinvented works of art
A trip to the neighborhood thrift shop happens to be an interesting visit. I found a condiment ceramic container that could be turned into charming pot for miniature plants.
