Greg Deocampo is a genre defining artist, technologist, and entrepreneur. Deocampo founded CoSA/The Company of Science & Art, makers of AfterEffects, acquired by Adobe. Deocampo was a member of EBN/Emergency Broadcast Network, a world traveling performance art project noted for the real time digital video mixing technology he developed, as well as danceable commentary on data overload, killing machines, and electronic behavior control systems. Deocampo worked at The Brown University TB/HIV Research Lab, developing one of the first bioinformatics web services mixing immunology data and analytics for vaccine design. Deocampo was a co-founder of IFILM.com, one of the first online video companies. Deocampo helped start Obscura Digital, a developer of realtime content and megaprojection technologies. Deocampo has consulted broadly, from SAIC and the Defense Intelligence Agency to The Coca-Cola Company, where he developed digital strategy, content and software for hyperdistribution, data harvesting, and analysis. Deocampo received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics-Molecular Biology from Brown University in 1988. For over 20 years he has worked in computational media: generating, analyzing, and acting on different kinds of digital signals, from science to art to entertainment and commerce. He is currently doing research and development on mobile and AR/VR applications for creative authoring, media performance, and distribution, as well as mashing maglev technology with projection media for hoverboard parks.
