Probably the ONLY circumstance where I believe not only that this is fucking WRONG, I would go so far as to say if there is any kind of “herd immunity” of western male privilege there is NO reason why this woman should die. I mean, not that she doesn’t DESERVE not to die; that absolutely IS the case: but I believe if enough people in the direct chain of execution simply said “fuck you, fire me” she would live until after Biden’s inauguration.
If civil service rules are anything like military rules, every. single. one of those in “the chain” would be completely within legal parameters to refuse the order. Every. SINGLE. ONE. On the other hand, if the lame duck is successful, she will be the FIRST MURDER VICTIM of an ACTING PRESIDENT.
The selective cognitive dissonance; the sexist and racist and almost-physical manifestations of a blind spot; I’m just speechless. This should AT LEAST be as relevant and outraging as the systemic killing of Anyone Who Isn’t White (and usually male).
Or would it be kinder, more compassionate, more humane even, to just end her suffering? What is WRONG with people? What if this happened to YOUR daughter, mom, friend?
Trump exceeded the limit on being a PC Prez, a long time ago. This last year has actually frightened me, but not how you may think. Trump appears to be acting out his perpetual two-year-old toddler; the one that was never allowed to exist. Do I feel sorry for him? Not really; not anymore. As a child I might have been an advocate, but he has absolutely NO EXCUSE to act the primitive, sullen four-year-old. Boo-fucking-hoo. Move away and let the grown-ups take over. I’ll take Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, even Hillary Clinton ... Bob Dole, Mitt Romney, especially John McCain ... over THIS lunatic. Or, just take a random sampling of our country (or the planet, for that matter), weighted NOT by race, sex, wealth or age, but instead weighted by education, effectiveness (NOT performance), eco-friendly and woke i.e. did they actually bother to take the test, or do they prefer to skew results toward older people simply by abstaining? But I digress: even if this ragtag collection of random population managed to fuck up, it would STILL be better than witnessing this lame duck President insist on going out with a bang, AND a whimper. (apologies to T.S. Eliot and his descendants).
We would do a better job with both hands tied behind our backs.
Thanks for reading this far. It’s a shitty way to start a conversation, but none of us can afford to be timid anymore. I still haven’t figured out how to tag folks IN Facebook & Instagram even if I am not a member, but believe me I will figure it out if I love you. And if you know how to reach out in this way, please email me at [email protected] and save me a bit of trouble. Anything owned by Facebook is mud for me. (what the fuck did I DO???) So maybe there’s a browser plug-in...? A method to use TOR? No clue, but if Facebook and/or Instagram is/was/continues to be the only way you wish to keep in touch with me, then it was nice knowing ya. I’ve seen more disturbing crap on Facebook than ANYTHING I ever shared on my own Timeline. I can only surmise my account was hijacked down the road a piece, in the middle of a conversation I may have PARTICIPATED in but abandoned months or even years ago.
Oh, and BTW, e-mail has ALWAYS worked best for me and STILL DOES.

Thomas Aquinas...
... considered God to be the most incomprehensible of all the things we seek. He said that in this life, the deepest thing we can know about God is that we don’t know what God is.

A manager was increasingly frustrated by his young protegé when he abruptly stopped and said, 'I'm done yelling at you. It doesn't work.' He stormed off and returned carrying a potted plant. 'You will carry this plant with you wherever you go. If anyone asks you why you're carrying this plant, you will say, ' "It's to replace the oxygen I stole from everyone else." '

I adopted a dog the other day. I named him Stay. It's fun to call him. 'Come here, Stay!' He went insane.
