A poem from my second novel: ‘When Deception Strikes Dawn: Distorted Beginnings
"Hush now child, say not what you will, For the thoughts of a child will remain ever still. Still like the moon that sits in the sky, Still as a sleeping bird, resting from fly. And under that bird and under that moon, Sits a pack of wolves, howling at the skies, craving a boon; A boon of good hunt, a boon of good health; They care for each other, not for them self. To eat like the humans, that is their dream; Feasting on rabbits and cows with a side of cream. But alas, man seeks for no boon. The kings will feast for days with no end coming soon, Caring little for their fellow men, Countless left dead from the war that has been. And for what purpose? Not even the king knows. The wolves lack to know why the humans have the food they do, so... They howl, seeking a boon from the moon as it glow And in hope that someday, they know. Know why men refer to them as beasts when they have all the feasts. Know why men speak of honor when they breed their prey and kill them in saunter. Know why the men scold inhumane behavior, but crown them. Know why men treasure unity, yet kill each other more than wolves kill rabbits. And the moon shines down and says to them, 'To you, is what I hear.' 'And to let you know I will always be here.' 'So fill your bellies under my light.' 'I grant you no food, but instead, my sight' 'And like my light, you will be bright.' 'Your thanks is all I seek,' 'though you may find it very bleak.' 'Go now, my child, and know you are better than,' 'those infernal beasts that call themselves man.'"

I just want to start this off by saying I've been writing a book for some time and am getting close to done with it. I will answer any questions anyone has about it.
