What's your favorite Sonic design, and why? (Please add pictures if you can! I'm not familiar with any specific iterations, just the Platonic Ideal of Sonic xP)

My favorite is probably from the Sonic CD intro

He’s so small, round, and friendly but has HUGE spikes! He always looks so dynamtic! All the most important parts are exaggerated perfectly and when he runs his body emphasizes his speed. I love the way he gets around in the intro

Seaking of which,

That’s a rescan of the original cells, in the game they retraced the whole thing into sprites, i think it looks super good.

In fact the game it’s self has a lot of great sprites
