Oh no @ndostairlyrium tagged me again what a tragedy. Tagging everyone reading this, but maybe @zaahvi and @kirkwallrealestate (do it with your rook, this is a second tag done for the lolz because I purposefully gave her a Ghilan'nain theme.)?

We have a double result. First one is with much my relief this one, the second I'll leave under cut because I'm laughing my ass out, it wasn't done on purpose.

Aisling Lavellan

Ghilan'nain is the elven goddess of guides and navigation. She is often called the Mother of the halla—white deer-like creatures revered by the Dalish and used to pull their aravel, or "landships". According to Dalish tales, Ghilan'nain was a huntress of the People and Andruil's chosen. She was transformed into the first halla by Andruil and risen to a godly rank for her devotion to the animals. Ghilan'nain is invoked by Dalish hunters when they struggle to find their way home.

In ancient times, only Fen'Harel could walk without fear among both our gods and the Forgotten Ones, for although he is kin to the gods of the People, the Forgotten Ones knew of his cunning ways and saw him as one of their own. And that is how Fen'Harel tricked them. Our gods saw him as a brother, and they trusted him when he said that they must keep to the heavens while he arranged a truce. And the Forgotten Ones trusted him also when he said he would arrange for the defeat of our gods, if only the Forgotten Ones would return to the abyss for a time. They trusted Fen'Harel, and they were all of them betrayed. And FenHarel sealed them away so they could never again walk among the People.

Sylaise: It is Sylaise who gave us fire and taught us how to use it. It is Sylaise who showed us how to heal with herbs and with magic, and how to ease the passage of infants into this world. And again, it is Sylaise who showed us how to spin the fibers of plants into thread and rope.We owe much to Sylaise, and that is why we sing to her when we kindle the fires and when we put them out. That is why we sprinkle our aravels with Sylaise's fragrant tree-moss, and ask that she protect them and all within.

Uuuh I like this result for her! But it figures, it plays so well on her themes and her ending (from "Get myself a comfortable home with questionable means" to "Adapt and get *a friend* a comfortable home"). Makes me ponder, Sylaise (a... peculiar view of Sylaise) is something I associate with my Mahariel the most, I would have said Mythal for her. The parallelism is juicy, they're two VERY different characters, LOL.

Flash Idea for a short comic I'm noting down lest I forget.

Cullen and Aisling makes Niamh (6/7) watch KPop Demon Hunters. You bet now they're all obsessed.

But if Aisling is now low key trying to learn the steps to Soda Pop -Dorian and Dagna are involved they're saying it's necessary for their latest research- Cullen has another goal in mind.

He looks at Rumi. Looks at Niamh. Looks at Rumi again. Back to Niamh.

Mixed heritage children?

He spends the next week looking for tutorials to recreate Rumi's braid. Goes into that with the strength of a racing train. Aisling is involved because he needs to practice, can't do it on the child, what if he pulls her hair?

Aisling goes to work sporting a wide arrangement of floppy, lopsided, full of loose strands braids, why does she care it keeps her hair out of her face and with just one hand her hairstyle is up to Cullen anyway. She just vetoed him gel and to give her a perm "to better have a sense of the texture" (Niamh's curly, Aisling isn't).

At long last, success! Aisling enters the lab with a viable top Dutch braid that holds up a day of heavy experimenting. The experiment can be done to the little one.

It requires lots of patient, putting Niamh in front of the TV, usually The Last Unicorn or Frozen do the trick, today is KPop Demon Hunters. Good, so he can have the reference in front of him. Lots of hairpins.

When he finally is done, all satisfied with himself because look at her she's so pretty LOOK AT HIS BEAUTIFUL CHILD *at least 10 photos get shot and send to everyone* Niamh looks at it and says.

"But my favourite is Mira."

At least half pigtails are way easier to recreate.

got tagged by @greypetrel (as well as @sun-marie last week), and actually got something to show this time >:] Namely, Boar Boy Progress

No longer bald 🎉🎉 And bonus Momo who is waiting for the moment i take my eyes off my yarn I might have to take out some more hair cos it's still Very dense lol, and also add some more braids maybe because the ones i made smh all ended up getting buried and barely visible 😔 Then it's just a bit of cleanup, finishing the front braid, and then maybe adding a face (<- scary (easy to mess up)) and moss patches! :)

WIP Wednesday

Tagged the other day by @chanafehs, thank you so much Saif! ✨ You're tagged back for whenever :3 It was a full week of sketches.

Found this sketch and worked over it again, a good narrative foil in her teen year will grate on your nerves *so much*. Also con of teaching to be free and question authority: *your* authority will be contested, as well.

Going on with the last merrihawke prompt, now that the bird of doom is done I plan on being quicker in finishing it!

Sketchbook shenanigan 1: Priscilla fawning over Neve because yes, must support the girlfriend at all time (reference for the hairdo is Ava Flava, I saw the reel and instantly went on the MUST DRAW it's so elegant and gorgeous ;;)

Josie got a go to organise Niamh's (cullavellan baby) first birthday party, of course the dress code is "gala". For the child too. The child must be the poofiest, prettiest child in Thedas, that's her niece and *everyone* will admire her, the tiara was VERY necessary.

Science bros at work. It's a necessary part of their work, they would explain but you wouldn't understand without advanced magical theory, of course they're not playing.

Am I managing to power through, with the damn bird I painted three times and all the rocks to vaguely render? Crawling forward, but yes.
