First Hug from Ace, Sabo, and Law
As part of the âFirst Hugsâ Series Featuring: Ace, Sabo, and Law Content Warning: Nothing serious, just a little sadder than the last set of headcannons.
Ace
Ace is your fellow âfriendly fella,â the guy who seems to be there for everyone and anything! But deep down, the poor dude battles with such deeply ingrained self doubt and loathing to the point he wonders if even he himself is even worthy of giving affection.
With all that said, youâve grown such a fond friendship with him, the kind where surely but slowly Ace knew he could trust you.Â
You were both out camping on a quiet night, exchanging stories, sharing laughs⌠Like the warm fire which Ace himself created with his powers, it was a lovely cozy night the two of you shared together.
Then thereâs a window for the two of you to be vulnerable with one another. You always knew Ace was truly troubled deep down, so why not share some struggles of yours?Â
When you do, he listens to you intently, his eyes locked on your face as he is overcome with the realization that⌠he is not alone, that even if he might be the most hated person in the world, he has his crew and you to count on.
Once you finish telling your stories, youâre suddenly met with Ace bringing you into one of the tightest hugs ever: itâs firm, assuring, and full of fiery empathy. Heâs tearing up, not profusely so, but you can tell that heâs dropping all his walls to be there for you wholeheartedly.
âThank you for always being there for me⌠and Iâll be there for you too, promise!â
SaboÂ
You always knew Sabo was a gentleman, not only in his manners, but also in his heart. He conducted politeness and grace in a way he was heartfelt and genuine about it. He is a man who is so earnestly reliable, and you could always count on him.
Like a ray of light after the rain, Sabo came to your aid when he sighted you sulking and crying in the middle of the street. With an umbrella in his hand, he shielded you from the rain that hides your tears.
Following him, Sabo ensured the umbrella shielded you all the way until you found shelter. You noticed how he barely covered for himself, letting the rain soak his hat and coat: that parasol he had in hand was for you and you alone.
Once you reached indoors as Sabo withdrew the umbrella and took off his hat, you found that you could not halt yourself from crying again: he was simply too kind, how could he do all this for you?
With your emotions displayed in front of him, Sabo leads his hand to caress, from wiping the tear below your eye and down to your cheek. As you leaned towards him, both his arms had enclosed you in a warm hug.
âIt does not matter how heavy your burden is. I will be by your side, always.â
Law
Lawâs not afraid of affectionâheâs afraid of loving and caring too much until he loses you at the worst possible time.
After the polar tang maneuvered through blizzards and iceberg filled waters, once it resurfaced, you took the time to gaze at the soft falling snow, a breathtaking respite.
Following you was Law, who claimed he too was only going to get some fresh air: but really, it was to see if you were alright
Law can act as pragmatic as he wants, but once you noticed him attempting to intertwine your hands with a small touch from his inked fingers, you knew he needed this company.
As the snow watch ends, he quietly asks if you could turn around for him. Before you knew it, Law brought you in a trembling hug, his arms soon stabilizing the moment he could hear your heartbeat, soothing and slowing the rhythm of his own which was beating so fast a while ago.
âPlease, stay alive for me⌠Because Iâll make sure Iâll do the same for you even if it means facing hell itself.â
Huddling together in the cold of the evening, both of you reassured that silent promise, locked in this embrace. The future is uncertain, but at least relish in this time and moment with Law.
A/N: Since I've already written for Luffy, Law was sneaked into be the L of ASL :-P

Unintentional couple behaviour

you two acts like a loving couple all the time, so what happens when someone points it out?
characters: zoro, sanji, law, ace and sabo
words count: around 0.8k - 1.3k each
masterlist || ao3 || ko-fi
ââ .⌠Roronoa Zoro:
You do a lot of things for Zoro without thinking.
You wake him up when itâs time to eat. You stop him from training too much. You make sure he doesnât get lost whenever the crew visits a new island.
Itâs normal for you. Someone has to do it.
But one day, the others start teasing you about it.
It happens at lunch. You are eating with the crew when Usopp laughs and nudges your arm.
âHey, arenât you gonna get your boyfriend?â
You blink. âWhat?â
Sanji, cleaning his hands with a towel, nods toward the deck âThat moss-brained idiot. You always bring him to meals. Itâs like a little routine between you two now. Like a coupleâŚâ
âWeâre notââ You nearly choke on your drink âWeâre not a couple!â
Usopp grins âThen why do you always take so much care of him?â
âBecause heâs stupid and forgets to eat!â you say, standing up âIâll go get him, but not because of whatever weird ideas you guys have.â
You walk away while they laugh behind you.
You find Zoro exactly where you expect, napping against the shipâs railing, his swords next to him.
You roll your eyes and shake his shoulder âOi, wake up. Lunch is ready.â
Nothing.
You shake him harder âZoro. If you donât get up, Iâll eat your food.â
He grumbles and waves his hand, like heâs trying to swat away a fly.
Sighing, you do what you always do. You grab his wrist and pull him up with both hands. He lets you. He always does, like itâs natural.
Zoro blinks at you, still half-asleep âHuh. You again.â
âYeah, me again,â you say âCome eat before Sanji âforgetsâ to save you anything.â
Youâre still holding his wrist, making sure he doesnât fall back asleep. Thatâs when you notice Nami and Robin watching from across the deck, smiling.
âWhat?â you ask, feeling awkward.
Nami smirks âYou two are cute.â
Your face heats up âWeâre notâheâs notâweâre not together!â
Robin chuckles âYou do take care of him a lot.â
Zoro frowns, confused âWhat the hell are you talking about?â
âNothing,â you mutterl âCome eat.â
You let go of his wrist too fast and walk away, ignoring the warm feeling in your chest.
You think itâs over, but now you notice things.
Zoro always sits next to you at meals, even when there are other seats. You always save food for him without realizing. And during fights, he always protects you first, like itâs a habit.
And, worst of all, people keep pointing it out.
ây/n,â Chopper asks one day, tilting his head âAre you and Zoro dating?â
You almost trip âWhat?! No!â
âOh...â He looks confused âBut you act like itâ
You groan âNot you tooâ
After that, you canât stop thinking about it.
The next time you wake Zoro up, your fingers stay on his wrist a second too long. The next time he pulls you behind him in a fight, your heart beats faster.
And then one evening, when you catch him watching you with a thoughtful look, you realize you might be in trouble.
That night, Zoro speaks first.
âOiâ
You look up from your seat on the deck âWhat?â
He leans against the railing, arms crossed âDoes it bother you?â
You frown âDoes what bother me?â
âWhat people are sayingâ His eyes stay on you âAbout us.â
You swallow âWhy? Does it bother you?â
He doesnât answer right away âNoâ his voice is quieter than usual.
Your stomach flips and you look at the ocean âI mean⌠itâs just dumb teasing, right?â
Zoro doesnât reply. Instead, he watches you for a long time. Then, finally, he smirks.
âDoesnât really matter what they sayâ he says, voice calm but sure âIâd still stick with you either way.â
Your breath catches and suddenly, your heart wonât let you ignore this anymore.
For the next days you try to brush off what the crew said.
You really do, but itâs impossible to ignore when Zoro keeps acting the same way.
Like when youâre on lookout duty together, and he hands you his jacket without a word.
Or when you spar with him, and he pulls his hits just enough so you donât get hurt.
Or when you fall asleep on the Sunnyâs deck, and you wake up covered with a blanket, one you know you didnât grab.
And every time it happens, you catch the crew watching. Smirking.
Itâs driving you insane.
One afternoon, you finally decide to do something about it.
You find Zoro by the training room, lifting weights. His shirt is half undone, sweat glistening on his skin, but you shove that thought aside.
You cross your arms âHey, Zoro.â
He grunts in acknowledgment, not stopping his reps.
You hesitate ââŚWhy do you treat me differently?â
He finally sets the weight down, wiping his face with a towel âWhat?â
âYou heard me...â You shift uncomfortably âYou do things for me that you donât do for anyone else.â
Zoro leans back against the wall, looking at you like you just asked a stupid question âSo?â
âSo?â You huff âThat means something, doesnât it?â
He shrugs âI guess.â
You blink âThatâs it? You guess?â
Zoro sighs, scratching his head âLook, I donât really think about it. I justââ He pauses, then shrugs again âI want to.â
Your heart skips a beat ââŚWhat?â
âI want to do those things for you,â he says simply âitâs not a big dealâ
You stare at him âNot a... Zoro, are you serious?â
He frowns âWhat, you donât like it?â
âThatâs not the point!â Your face feels hot âYou donât do this for Nami or Robin or anyone else!â
Zoro looks at you, unimpressed âYeah. Because itâs you.â
You freeze.
The way he says it, so blunt, so obvious, it makes your stomach flip.
He isnât flustered. He isnât overthinking it. Heâs just stating a fact.
ââŚOh.â
Zoro crosses his arms, watching you carefully âIs that a problem?â
You swallow âNo. Itâs justâ
Itâs everything. Itâs him always being there, always looking out for you, always treating you like someone important.
Itâs a realization you should have had ages ago.
You let out a breathless laugh âIâm an idiot.â
Zoro raises an eyebrow âWell, yeah.â
You smack his arm. He smirks.
But when your hand lingers just a little too long, he doesnât pull away.
And suddenly, you both understand... this isnât just a habit.
It never was.
Ever since that conversation in the training room, things between you and Zoro have⌠shifted, but not in a bad way.
He still trains for hours. Still naps in random spots. Still bickers with Sanji.
But now, when you sit beside him, his arm naturally rests along the back of your chair.
Now, when you fight, he doesnât just watch your back, he makes sure youâre never out of reach.
Now, when you look at him for a second too long, he looks right back.
Like heâs waiting.
Like heâs giving you the choice.
One evening, you find him on the Sunnyâs deck, looking out at the ocean.
ââŚCanât sleep?â he asks.
You shake your head, stepping closer âThinking too much.â
Zoro smirks âDangerous habit...â
You huff a laugh but donât argue.
Instead, you stand beside him, silent for a moment before you finally ask...
âDo you regret telling me?â
Zoro frowns âTelling you what?â
âThat you⌠actually treat me differently. That you want to.â
His jaw tightens slightly âNo.â
Your heart does something strange âGood.â
You donât give yourself time to hesitate.
Before doubt can creep in, you grab him and pull him down.
Zoro freezes.
For half a second, he doesnât move. Doesnât even breathe.
Then a quiet growl rumbles from his chest, and his hand cups the back of your neck as he kisses you back.
Itâs firm. Solid. Like heâs been holding back for too long and refuses to anymore.
When you finally break apart, Zoro leans his forehead against yours, exhaling through his nose.
ââŚFinallyâ he mutters.
You grin âYou were waiting for me?â
âWasnât gonna rush youâ His fingers brush your jaw âYou get there when you get there.â
You hum, leaning into him âAnd now?â
Zoro smirks âNow, youâre stuck with me.â
You kiss him again, just to make sure he knows you wouldnât want it any other way.
ââ .⌠Vinsmoke Sanji:
Sanji has always been a flirt. Thatâs just how he is.
He calls Nami and Robin âmy loveâ and âmy dearâ. He spins around the kitchen whenever they compliment him. He offers to carry their bags when the crew goes shopping.
But when it comes to you, itâs different.
It starts when the crew is eating dinner together.
âSanji, can you pass the salt?â you ask.
Instead of handing you the salt shaker, Sanji grabs it, twists off the lid, and sprinkles just the right amount onto your plate.
You blink âUh. Thanks?â
âOf course, my dearâ he says smoothly. Then, as if nothing happened, he turns back to his own plate.
You think nothing of it... until you notice the way the others are watching.
Usopp raises an eyebrow âDid he just season your food for you?â
âYeah?â You shrug âWhat's new about it? He's a chef and heâs just being nice.â
Luffy grins âHe doesnât do that for anyone else.â
âThatâs not true,â you argue âSanji treats everyone like this.â
Nami hums âNot exactly like this. If we wanted more salt he would start a lecture about how it would ruin his masterpiece.â
Before you can ask what she means, Sanji stands up to grab dessert. He places a plate in front of you first. Itâs your favorite.
The crew stares.
You stare too âSanjiâŚâ
He smiles âWhat? I made extra for you.â
Usopp coughs âYeah. Okay. Totally normal.â
Robin chuckles behind her hand.
You shake your head and go back to eating. Itâs nothing. Sanji is just being Sanji.
âŚRight?
But then, you start noticing other things.
When youâre cold, Sanji drapes his jacket over your shoulders without you asking.
When you need something from a high shelf, Sanji wordlessly reaches up and hands it to you.
When youâre about to trip, his hand is always there to steady you.
And every time, every single time, he does it so naturally that you donât even think about it.
Until one day, Franky whistles and says, âYou two sure act like a couple.â
You nearly drop the drink in your hands âWhat?!â
Sanji, who was stirring a pot at the stove, pauses.
Franky leans against the counter, grinning âYou two do all that coupley stuff. He gives you the best food, takes care of you, treats you differently from everyone elseââ
âThatâs not true,â you say quickly âSanjiâs like this with everyone.â
Franky snorts âNah. He does flirt with everyone. But this?â He gestures between you and Sanji âThis is different.â
You glance at Sanji. Heâs staring into the pot, silent.
Your face feels hot now âYou guys are reading too much into things.â
âSure we are...â Franky says, smirking. Then he leaves.
The kitchen is quiet now. You swallow and turn to Sanji.
ââŚIs it true?â
He looks at you. His usual confident smile is gone. Instead, thereâs something softer in his eyes.
âI donât knowâ he says âis it?â
Your heartbeat quickens.
Suddenly, every touch, every sweet gesture, it all feels different.
Maybe it wasnât just a habit.
Maybe it was something else all along.
After all this the teasing has only gotten worse.
Ever since Nami and Usopp pointed out how Sanji treats you, they will not let it go.
âHere comes Sanjiâs beloveeeed~â Usopp sings when you walk into the kitchen.
âI should start charging you for all the extra food Sanji makes only for youâ Nami smirks.
Even Luffy, who usually doesnât care about these things, grins at Sanji one afternoon and says âOi, cook, when are you gonna marry y/n?â
Sanji chokes on his cigarette so hard he has to brace himself on the counter.
You groan and drag a hand down your face.
But what really drives you insane?
Sanji never denies it.
He stutters, blushes, waves his hands, but he never says âThatâs not true.â
Because it is true.
And itâs starting to drive you crazy.
You try to ignore it. But then you start noticing things, even the smallest ones.
Sanji never lets you carry anything heavy.
He always pours you tea first, even before Nami and Robin.
He adjusts your chair at dinner like itâs second nature.
And the worst part? He doesnât even realize heâs doing it.
But you do.
And now, every time he gives you that lookâthe one thatâs soft, full of admiration, like you hung the damn sun in the skyâyour heart stumbles over itself.
This has to stop.
Or something has to change.
It happens one evening after dinner.
Youâre in the kitchen, helping Sanji clean up. He hums as he washes the dishes, sleeves rolled up, golden hair falling over his forehead.
You watch him for a second, then take a deep breath.
âSanji.â
He glances at you, smiling âYes, my love?â
You grip the counter âWhy do you act like weâre together?â
Sanji freezes.
The faucet keeps running. The kitchen is warm with the smell of spices. But Sanji is frozen.
Slowly, he turns his head toward you ââŚP-Pardon?â
You cross your arms âYou treat me differently. Even the crew notices. You never do this stuff for anyone else.â
Sanji swallows hard âIââ
âYou never deny it,â you press âand honestly? Iâm tired of waiting for you to finally say something.â
Sanji stares at you like youâve just flipped his entire world upside down.
His hands shake. His lips part like he wants to speak, but nothing comes out.
ââŚSanji.â Your voice softens âDo you want this to be real?â
A shuddering breath leaves him. He looks at you, eyes wide, vulnerable.
âMore than anything...â he whispers.
Your heartbeat stutters.
Thatâs it. Thatâs all you need to hear.
You step forward, grab the front of his shirt, and kiss him.
Sanji malfunctions.
His entire body locks up, like his brain has completely short-circuited.
For a solid two seconds, he does not move.
Then a noise escapes him, something between a whimper and a desperate sigh, and his hands come up to cup your face, pulling you closer.
The kiss is warm, overwhelming, but soft, like heâs afraid youâll disappear if he holds on too tight.
When you finally pull away, heâs redder than his own suit.
ââŚM-Mon amour,â he breathes, voice shaking âYou...you actually...â
You smirk âTook us long enough, cook.â
Sanji makes a strangled sound and immediately buries his face in your shoulder, arms wrapped tight around you.
Outside, the crew is losing their minds.
âTOLD YOU!â Usopp shouts.
âI WON THE BET!â Nami cheers.
âOi, Sanji, you alive in there?â Zoro snickers.
Sanji doesnât answer. Heâs too busy melting against you, whispering sweet nothings into your skin.
And honestly?
You think youâll let him.
ââ .⌠Trafalgar D. Law:
Law is not the kind of person who likes physical contact. He doesnât let most people touch him. He keeps his distance, always standing at the edge of conversations with his arms crossed. If someone bumps into him, they get a glare.
But for some reason, you are different.
It starts when Bepo hands you a coat one evening.
âHere,â he says, tail flicking âyou left this in the lounge.â
You blink at it. Itâs black, long, and definitely not yours.
âThis isnât mineâ you say, confused.
Bepo tilts his head âOh. But you always wear the captainâs coat, so I thought it was yours now...â
You freeze.
âWait. What?â
Shachi walks by and hears the conversation. He grins âYeah, you totally do. Every time youâre cold, you steal his coat.â
Penguin nods âAnd Law never complains.â
You open your mouth. Close it. Try to remember.
âŚOkay, maybe you have borrowed Lawâs coat a few times. But thatâs just because itâs warm! And because itâs there! And because...
Oh no.
Your stomach twists âI... I do not...â
âSure you donât...â Shachi teases âWhatâs next? Calling him âdearâ?â
You groan and shove the coat at Bepo before walking away.
But now, you canât stop thinking about it.
After this, you start noticing other things. Like how Law always lets you into his personal space.
How you can tug his hat down over his eyes without him pushing you away.
How he casually rests his hand on your shoulder when he stands next to you.
One day, you trip over a loose crate. Before you even hit the ground, a familiar blue glow surrounds you... Lawâs Room.
In an instant, youâre back on your feet, completely unharmed.
The Heart Pirates snicker.
âCaptain didnât even thinkâ Penguin whispers.
âHe never uses Room for anyone elseâs clumsinessâ Shachi adds.
You glare at them âI heard that.â
They just smirk.
Law doesnât say anything. He just sighs and keeps walking, like saving you without thinking is the most natural thing in the world.
Your heart does something weird. You ignore it.
Later, you sit on a crate, arms crossed. Law stands next to you, reading a medical book.
You glance at him âYour crew keeps calling me âCaptainâs partner.ââ
He doesnât look up âSo?â
âSo, why?â
He flips a page âProbably because you act like one.â
Your brain short-circuits.
You stare âExcuse me?â
Law finally looks at you, raising an eyebrow âYouâre always in my quarters, you steal my coat, and you act like you belong next to me. Theyâre not wrong.â
Your face burns âI... You let me do all that!â
He smirks âI know.â
You open your mouth, but no words come out.
Because suddenly, you realize... he has let you. And he still is.
Ever since Bepo and the others pointed out how Law treats you differently, itâs been impossible to ignore.
The extra care during missions. The way he always stands just a little closer than necessary. The way he lets you touch him, his arm, his shoulder, even his hand, when no one else would dare.
But what really gives him away?
The way his ears burn red every time you get too close.
And yet he never says anything.
If you didnât know better, youâd think he was running an experiment to see how long he could keep this up before you lost your mind.
So tonight youâre calling him out.
You find him in his quarters, buried in medical books.
âHey, Law.â You lean against the desk, arms crossed âCan I ask you something?â
His eyes flick up âWhat?â
You tilt your head âDo you like me?â
Law chokes.
Not just a little cough... he full-on chokes on air, slamming his book shut as if thatâll somehow save him.
âWhatâ?!â He coughs into his fist âWhere the hell did that come from?â
You raise an eyebrow âYou tell me.â
Law scowls, shifting uncomfortably âYouâre being ridiculous.â
âOh? Am I?â You step closer.
He stiffens âWhat are you...?â
You place your hands on the arms of his chair and lean in, caging him in.
His breath hitches.
Oh. Oh.
He is not prepared for this.
âLaw,â you murmur, watching his face closely âyou never let anyone touch you, but you let me.â
His jaw clenches âThat doesnâtââ
âYou always make sure I rest. You check my injuries before anyone elseâs.â
âBecause youâre recklessââ
âAnd...â you lean even closer âyour ears are red right now.â
Law swallows.
You smirk âSo, wanna try again?â
For a long moment, he just stares at you, lips parted, golden eyes darting between yours.
Then, in a last-ditch effort, he growls... âYouâre annoying.â
You hum âMaybe.â
And then you kiss him.
Law goes still.
For the first time since youâve known him, he is completely speechless.
But then a quiet sound escapes him, and his hand suddenly grips your wrist, holding you there.
You almost pull back, unsure, until his other hand slides around the back of your neck, fingers threading into your hair, and he kisses you back.
Itâs hesitant at first, but when you donât pull away, something shifts.
The kiss deepens, his grip tightens, and the heat radiating off of him is enough to make you dizzy.
When you finally part, Law exhales sharply, pressing his forehead against yours.
ââŚYouâre gonna be a problemâ he mutters, voice rough.
You grin âYeah?â
His fingers tighten in your hair âYeah.â
And then, despite everything, he kisses you again.
Because for once in his life heâs done running.
ââ .⌠Portgas D. Ace:
Ace is naturally affectionate.
He throws an arm around peopleâs shoulders, laughs loudly, and grins like the world is a joke heâs in on. Heâs warm but also because he makes people feel welcome.
So itâs not weird that he touches you a lot.
Right?
It starts when Marco sits down next to you, smirking.
âYou and Ace finally together, yoi?â
You look at him confused âwhat do you mean?â
âA couple⌠are you two a couple?â
You almost drop your drink âWhat? No!â
Marco raises an eyebrow âYou sure? He always saves you a seat at meals. Always gives you his food if you ask. Always keeps an eye on you during fights.â
You roll your eyes âThat doesnât mean anything. Heâs just like that.â
âNot with everyoneâ Marco takes a sip of his drink âJust you.â
You open your mouth to argue, but then you donât know what to say, because now, youâre thinking about it.
The next time Ace sits beside you at dinner, you notice how he slides his plate a little closer to yours, letting you steal his food.
The next time the crew docks at an island, you notice how he instinctively waits for you before walking off together.
The next time youâre about to trip, you donât even get the chance to fall, Ace grabs your wrist and steadies you like itâs second nature.
And maybe it is second nature.
âCareful, Ace,â one of the division commanders teases âIf you keep acting like that, y/n might actually think youâre in love.â
Ace laughs, scratching the back of his head âYeah, yeah.â
You laugh too. Because itâs just a joke⌠Right?
One night, you sit together on the deck, watching the ocean.
You fidget for a second before saying âThe crew keeps calling us a coupleâ
Ace hums âYeah?â
You glance at him âWhy do you think that is?â
He leans back, arms behind his head, and grins âProbably because we act like one.â
You choke on your own breath âExcuse me?!â
Ace tilts his head âI mean, we do everything together. You always take my food, and I always let you. You always pull me out of trouble, and I always let you. Feels natural, doesnât it?â
Your brain short-circuits.
Because now that you think about it... yeah, it does feel natural.
ââŚAce,â you say slowly âAre we...?â
He looks at you, amusement flickering in his eyes âWhat do you think?â
Your stomach flips.
Because suddenly, youâre not sure where the habit ends and the feelings begin.
After this, Ace keeps flirting with you all the time.
Itâs just who he is.
Winks across the deck. Throwing an arm around your shoulders. Calling you hot stuff like itâs your actual name.
Youâre used to it.
But after the teasing from Marco and Thatch, after realizing that Ace treats you differently, you start to wonder.
Is he just playing around? Or is there something real underneath?
Thereâs only one way to find out.
The perfect opportunity comes one afternoon, when Ace flops down next to you on the Moby Dickâs deck, grinning.
âHey,â he drawls, resting an arm behind his head âMiss me?â
You smirk âI saw you literally two hours ago.â
âThatâs two hours too long.â He winks âBet you were thinking about me the whole time.â
You hum, tilting your head âYou really think that, huh?â
Ace chuckles âCâmon, you love me.â
You raise an eyebrow âProve it.â
He blinks âHuh?â
You shift, leaning closer with a sly smile âYou say all this stuff, Ace. You flirt, you tease... but are you actually serious?â
For the first time, he hesitates.
Just for a second, but itâs enough.
ââŚOf course I am,â he says, but his usual confidence isnât all there.
You smirk âThen show me.â
Before he can react, you grab his hat, his precious hat, and plop it onto your own head.
Ace short-circuits.
âOi! Thatâs...!â He reaches for it instinctively but stops mid-motion, staring at you.
You tilt the brim with a smirk âWhat? You said you liked me, right?â
Ace swallows âY-Yeah?â
âThen just take it back.â
You expect him to snatch it back playfully.
What you donât expect is for Ace to grin, eyes flickering with mischief, and suddenly tackle you onto the deck.
You yelp as he hovers over you, forearms braced on either side of your head.
The crew whoops in the background, but neither of you pay them any attention.
Ace smirks down at you âYou think youâre funny, huh?â
You grin âA little.â
Ace shakes his head, chuckling, but then his expression softens.
He reaches up, tilts the hat back just enough to see your face properly.
And then without thinking he leans down and kisses you.
Itâs grinning into the kiss kind of playful. Itâs warm and teasing but full of something deeper.
And when he pulls back, face way too close, he murmurs âNow you gotta prove it.â
Your heart races.
You donât back down. Instead, you tug him down by his necklace and kiss him again.
This time, Ace melts.
When you finally break apart, Ace huffs out a breathless laugh.
âWell,â he grins âGuess you do love me.â
You roll your eyes âShut up.â
But you donât stop him when he kisses you one more time.
Because, honestly?
Heâs right.
ââ .⌠Sabo:
Sabo is easy to be around.
Heâs kind, smart, and always ready to listen. He laughs at your jokes, never forgets your favorite things, and somehow always knows when you need him.
So itâs no surprise that you spend a lot of time together.
But apparently, the way you act around him is a little⌠suspicious.
It starts when youâre walking through the Revolutionary Army base with Koala.
âSo,â she says casually âwhen are you and Sabo going to make it official?â
You nearly trip over your own feet âWhat?!â
Koala grins âCome on, donât play dumb. You two already act like a couple.â
You scoff âNo, we donât.â
She raises an eyebrow âOh really? Whoâs the first person Sabo looks for when he gets back from a mission?â
ââŚMe.â
âWhoâs the only person he lets borrow his gloves?â
ââŚMe.â
âAnd whoâs the only one he lets fall asleep on his shoulder without complaining?â
You open your mouth, but nothing comes out.
Becauseâoh.
Oh.
Koala smirks âSee what I mean?â
You shake your head âThat doesnât mean anything. Weâre just close.â
She shrugs âIf you say so.â
But now, you canât stop thinking about it. You start noticing things, like how Sabo always finds a reason to sit next to you during meals, or how he reaches out to fix your collar or tuck your hair behind your ear like itâs normal, or how he always makes sure you have a blanket when you fall asleep at your desk, even though no one else gets that treatment.
And the worst part?
Now that youâre paying attention, everyone else is too.
âI swear, itâs like theyâre marriedâ one soldier mutters.
âThey finish each otherâs sentencesâ another whispers.
âBet they donât even realizeâ someone else chuckles.
You groan and drop your head onto the table.
Sabo, sitting beside you, blinks âWhatâs wrong?â
âNothingâ you mumble.
He frowns, then wordlessly slides his drink toward you.
You stare at it ââŚDid you just give me your drink?â
He shrugs âYou like it more than I do.â
You glance around. Several soldiers are watching now, smirking.
Slowly, you push the drink back to him.
Sabo looks confused âYou donât want it?â
Your face burns âNope. Iâm fine.â
He tilts his head, then shrugs and takes a sip.
The others snicker.
You sigh.
Later that night, you sit beside him on the rooftop, watching the stars.
âSabo,â you say carefully âdo we⌠act like a couple?â
He hums âWhy?â
âPeople keep saying we do.â
Sabo leans back on his hands, thinking. Then he smiles âI guess I can see why.â
Your heart skips a beat âYou can?â
âWell, weâre always together,â he says easily âI trust you more than anyone. You take care of me, I take care of you. Feels normal.â
You stare at him âThatâs⌠kind of a couple thing, donât you think?â
Sabo looks at you for a long moment. Then he smirks.
âWell,â he says, voice teasing but gentle âdo you want it to be?â
Your breath catches.
And suddenly, the answer seems obvious.
Sabo has always been easy to be around.
You never have to force a conversation. Never have to second-guess his presence.
Heâs just there, a steady warmth beside you, the hand that always steadies your back when you walk through the Revolutionary camp, the person you find yourself naturally leaning against when youâre tired.
And the thing is?
He never pulls away.
Even now, sitting beside you near the fire after a long day, his arm rests lightly along the back of your seat. Close enough to feel, but not demanding.
Itâs natural.
But tonight, somethingâs different.
Thereâs a quiet between you, not uncomfortable, but charged with something unsaid.
You donât know who moves first, but suddenly your head is resting against his shoulder, and instead of shifting away, Sabo just exhales softly, tilting his head against yours.
You close your eyes, feeling the warmth of him, the steady rise and fall of his breathing.
ââŚI like thisâ you murmur, barely thinking.
Sabo hums âMe tooâ A pause. Then... âI always have.â
Your heart stutters.
Slowly, you lift your head, turning just enough to meet his gaze.
His expression is calm, too calm, like heâs waiting for you to understand something heâs known for a long time.
And you do.
Because of course it was always him.
You donât say anything. You donât need to.
Instead, you reach up, gently tracing your fingers along his jaw.
Sabo closes his eyes briefly at the touch before opening them again, watching you with something unreadable, something deep.
Then, without hesitation, he leans in.
The kiss is slow, certain.
Itâs not rushed, not desperate because this was never a question.
It was always going to be this.
When you part, Sabo lingers, his forehead resting against yours.
His hand finds yours, fingers lacing together easily.
ââŚFeels like we shouldâve done that a long time agoâ he murmurs, lips brushing against yours.
You smile âMaybe. But I think we got here at the right time.â
Sabo chuckles softly, squeezing your hand âYeah. I think so too.â
And when he kisses you again, it feels like something that was simply meant to be.

You and Trafalgar D. Water Law, notorious pirate and doctor, stand side by side in the bustling marketplace, trying to blend in as a newlywed couple. Law, wearing his usual stoic expression, is clearly out of his element, while you canât help but smile at how ridiculous the whole situation is.
"Stop grinning like that" he mutters, adjusting the fake wedding ring you insisted on putting on his finger. He glares at you, but you only giggle louder.
"Oh, come on, itâs not so bad. Weâve got to make it convincing" you tease, leaning closer to him with exaggerated affection. His irritation is almost palpable.
"I don't need you hanging off me like that. We're here for a mission, not for you to play around." His voice is calm, but the faint redness creeping up his neck betrays him.
You smirk, knowing exactly how much it bothers him "But I love how grumpy you get when I do this. Itâs like a whole new side of you."
You look at him with playful eyes, wrapping your arm around his, deliberately snuggling closer, and watching the slight twitch in his jaw.
"You're insufferable" he grumbles, but you can tell from the way his eyes flicker to yours that he's secretly enjoying it. Even if he won't admit it, you know this act is something he didnât expect and now he canât stop thinking about it.
You wink at him âYou know, youâre really cute when youâre angry.â
Law scoffs but the tips of his ears go red, which only makes you smirk wider.
The two of you continue to walk through the crowded streets of Wano, and the people around you don't seem to pay much attention, at least not to Law. But you, on the other hand, draw plenty of stares. It's almost laughable how you're both playing the part of a loving couple so well. Youâre sure the act wouldâve made some people second-guess themselves, if not for your obvious affection for Law.
âDo you really have to hold my hand like this?â Law mutters, trying to keep his face neutral. His tone is deadpan, but his hand doesn't pull away, even though he clearly wants to.
âYes, I do. Itâs important for the cover, we're married, remember?â You tighten your grip slightly, watching him try his hardest to stay composed, and you canât help but relish in how embarrassed he looks.
â...Iâm going to regret thisâ he mutters under his breath, his voice barely audible.
âNo, you wonât,â you say sweetly, squeezing his hand with a grin âYou like it.â
Law doesnât say anything for a moment. His face remains impassive, but you can see the little vein in his forehead twitching. Itâs clear that heâs not nearly as indifferent as heâs trying to make himself seem.
Before he can retort, you pull his arm, dragging him towards a stand with fresh produce "Look! They have strawberries!!"
You start picking up the plump, red fruit, inspecting it with exaggerated curiosity. Law watches you, his arms crossed, a frown on his face.
"Youâre acting like a child," he observes dryly, clearly disinterested. But you know heâs watching, and deep down, you know that heâs silently amused.
âYouâre just mad because Iâm having fun. Donât worry, I'll buy you some tooâ you say, but the moment you say it, you know heâll probably refuse it.
Law doesn't respond, but you catch the tiniest glimmer of amusement in his eyes, just for a moment. His mouth tightens, but itâs not out of frustration anymore. Itâs something else, something softer, though heâd never admit it.
You turn to him and offer one of the strawberries "Want one? You might smile for once."
He takes the strawberry reluctantly, muttering under his breath, "You're impossible" but you can see the corners of his mouth twitch, as if the smallest hint of a smile might want to escape.
The night comes, and youâre both sitting around a small campfire outside of town, eating a simple meal. Lawâs still in his pirate garb, but youâve managed to dress him up in something a little more traditional, at least in a way that blends with the locals. He looks even more irritated now that heâs out of his comfort zone, but you canât help but stare at him.
"You know, you really should smile more," you say casually, picking at the food in front of you "Youâd be less grumpy."
Law shoots you a glare, his gaze cold but somehow fond "I donât need to smile."
âYou say that, but you do smile sometimes, even when you donât mean to,â you tease, leaning your head on your hand "Like when you're all annoyed. Itâs cute."
His eyebrow twitches, and you immediately know youâve hit a nerve.
"I do not get 'annoyed'," he hisses "Iâm just... trying to survive being stuck here."
âOh sure, but Iâve noticed something,â you say, leaning in with a smirk âEvery time I annoy you, you get this cute little angry face. Itâs the best part of the day.â
Law scowls harder, trying to maintain his composure, but you can see the way his face softens ever so slightly, as if heâs secretly enjoying your teasing.
âIâm not cuteâ he mutters, but his voice lacks its usual edge.
âOh, trust me, youâre definitely cute. Especially when you try to hide itâ you say, reaching over to poke his cheek, making him flinch.
âDonât touch meâ he warns, his patience thinning, but there's no real heat behind it.
You pull your hand back with a grin, trying to hide your glee âI bet I can get you to smile before this mission is over.â
âYou wonât" he says, though there's a hint of challenge in his voice.
You wink at him âWanna bet?â
Law looks at you for a long moment, his eyes narrowing. But you both know itâs a challenge heâs already lost.
The next morning, the Heart Pirates gather. You and Law make your way back after a quick stop in the town. Youâre both still playing the role of a happily married couple, though your grin and the slight blush on Lawâs face tell a different story.
"Morning, you two" Bepo greets with a wave as you approach the group. He gives you both a curious glance but doesnât comment right away. You notice his ears twitch slightly, as if heâs trying to figure something out.
"Morning" you reply sweetly, wrapping your arm around Law's waist. You canât resist leaning into him just a little, making sure everyone notices.
Shachi and Penguin, standing nearby, exchange a quick look.
Law doesn't want to draw attention to it, but he's well aware of the curious stares from his crew.
"What's going on between you two?" Penguin asks, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow "I thought we were supposed to be working undercover, not pretending to be... a couple." He says "couple" with exaggerated air quotes, making sure the whole group hears it.
You giggle, looking up at Law "Oh, we are, don't worry. Usopp said we should go undercover as a freshly married couple, right, honey?" you say, dragging out the last word with far too much affection, but you actually did it to tease him. In facts, Lawâs face tenses, and you can almost see the steam coming out of his ears.
Bepo looks between the two of you, his expression softer than the others "Youâre really convincing" he says, a faint blush creeping up on his cheeks. He clearly doesnât quite understand the situation but seems to be happy for you, or at least trying to be supportive.
âYouâre making him uncomfortable, y/nâ Shachi teases, nudging you playfully.
âWell, it's a fake marriage after allâ you reply with a grin âIf he likes it or not we have to make it seem real, especially because we almost got caughtâ
Law huffs, crossing his arms tightly âWeâre not really married. Itâs a cover for the mission. And you...â He points at Shachi, who seems way too entertained by the situation â...donât have to comment on it.â
"Sure, sure, but tell me this," Shachi continues, leaning in as though he's unraveling a great mystery "How come every time I look over, you're so close? So touchy-feely for just a mission. Thereâs gotta be something going on.â
Penguin snickers in the background, enjoying the show âShachi might be onto something, Law. You sure youâre not falling for y/n?â
You wink at Law, watching his patience fray a little more âOh, I think heâs already thereâ you say, making sure to be extra teasing.
Law narrows his eyes, clearly not thrilled at the idea of his crew picking up on this âI am not! Stop messing around, all of you. We have more important things to focus on.â
But you can tell that beneath the irritation, thereâs a hint of something else, embarrassment? Maybe even⌠a little fondness?
âIâm just saying,â Bepo starts, his voice soft but sincere âyou two look so natural together. Itâs kind of adorable.â
Your eyes soften, and you offer Bepo a warm smile "Iâm glad someone sees it that way," you reply, winking at Law again. Heâs practically fuming now, but there's a twinkle in his eyes that heâs not quite able to hide.
âAdorable?â Law scoffs, his face now an unmistakable shade of red âI swear, youâre all insane.â He glares at his crew, but even the glare doesn't hide how his heart's racing just a little.
Later that evening, as you and Law sit around the campfire again, this time with the rest of the Heart Pirates on watch duty, the teasing continues, though now itâs less playful and more knowing. Everyoneâs fully aware that somethingâs up between you two, and itâs clear that youâve been having a lot of fun with the idea.
âAlright, alright, letâs just get this out of the way," Shachi starts, taking a seat beside you and leaning in conspiratorially "Who fell first?â
Law doesnât even look at you, but you can feel his discomfort radiating âWeâre not doing thisâ he mutters with an exasperated sigh.
But the teasing continues, the Heart Pirates are all looking at you two with amusement in their eyes. Bepo and Penguin are now watching you closely, seemingly trying to pick up on every little interaction, while Shachi just canât stop himself from pressing the issue.
âYou two are definitely more than just a cover story,â Shachi says, grinning from ear to ear âYouâre always so close, so... affectionate.â
âYeah!â Penguin chimes in, clearly enjoying the drama âItâs like you guys are really a thing.â
Law remains silent for a few beats, his jaw clenched, clearly holding his frustration in check. But you notice the tightening of his fists and the way his eyes flicker with irritation.
You glance over at him, but before you can even tease him again, you notice his patience clearly running out âThatâs enoughâ he snaps, voice low but sharp.
The whole group falls quiet, the sudden intensity of his voice making them look at him with wide eyes.
âI donât like this attention, alright?â Lawâs voice is colder now, his usual calm demeanor replaced by something harder, something⌠serious. His gaze shifts to you, and youâre caught off guard by how harsh his words are âI donât like you hanging off me all the time, I donât like being treated like your husband, and I donât like you constantly teasing me. Weâre not a couple, y/n. Weâre not even close enough for you to call me your friend, let alone you husband...â
The words hit like a slap, and for a moment, all you can do is stare at him in disbelief. His face is set in a frown, his usual stoic expression replaced by something colder, more distant. You feel a pang in your chest, your heart sinking at how genuine he seems.
The rest of the crew falls silent, unsure of what to say.
You take a step back, your arm slipping as you pull away. Your eyes flicker down to the ground, trying to hide the hurt that's suddenly swelling inside you.
Youâre not sure why, but the way he said it, so blunt, so final, makes you believe him. Maybe you had been too forward. Maybe you pushed him too far, even if you were just jocking around.
You try to force a smile, but it feels weak, forced "Right," you say quietly, your voice barely above a whisper "Iâm sorry. I didnât mean to make you feel this uncomfortable."
Law doesnât respond, too focused on his crew and the way theyâre looking at him. The awkward silence stretches, and you find yourself drifting further away. You canât bring yourself to joke anymore, to tease him as you had before. The sting of his words cuts deeper than you want to admit.
The rest of the evening goes by in an uncomfortable silence. You eat your meal, your eyes occasionally flicking toward Law, but you canât bring yourself to look at him for long. Every time you do, you feel the weight of his words echoing in your mind.
The next few days feel... different. Youâve stopped teasing him, stopped getting close like you used to. Whenever you have to interact, youâre careful to keep your distance, avoiding any unnecessary physical contact. You act as professional as possible, keeping the focus entirely on the mission.
It doesnât escape the Heart Piratesâ notice, though. They watch as the dynamics between you and Law change. Youâre not the playful couple anymore. Instead, you seem more distant, more reservedâespecially around Law.
Shachi notices first "Hey, y/n, everything okay?" he asks one morning as you sit near the shipâs edge, watching the horizon. He knows somethingâs off, and though he doesnât want to pry, he canât help but ask.
You force a smile, but it doesnât reach your eyes âYeah. Just tired, thatâs all.â
Bepo, whoâs been quietly observing, speaks up hesitantly âYou havenât been... teasing him anymore. Are you twoââ
âWeâre fine,â you interrupt quickly, too quickly. You donât want to explain. You donât even know what to say "Just focusing on the mission, as it should have been from the very start"
The conversation ends there, but you can feel the weight of their concern. Theyâre noticing the shift, the sudden distance between you and Law. But none of them, especially not Law, know how to fix it.
Days pass in Wano, and you continue to keep your distance from Law, though the tension between the two of you feels thicker than ever. Every time youâre near him, the awkwardness is palpable. But something else is happening in the background.
The Strawhats are back in Wano. After all the time youâve spent apart.
Itâs in the middle of a bustling market square, where you and Law are walking around trying to gather some supplies for the mission, when you spot them. You freeze, your heart racing. Your breath catches in your throat when your eyes land on Sanji.
Without thinking, you let everything fall from your hands and sprint toward him. Sanjiâs back is turned, so he doesnât see you coming until itâs too late. You throw yourself into his arms with tears in your eyes, overwhelmed with relief.
âSanji!â you exclaim, your voice muffled against his chest as you cling to him.
Sanjiâs eyes widen in surprise, but then he smiles softly, his arms wrapping around you âHey there, y/nâ he says, his tone warm âItâs been a while, huh?â
You pull back slightly, wiping at your eyes with the back of your hand âIâve missed you so muchâ you admit softly.
Sanji raises an eyebrow, but his smile softens âItâs good to see you too. Looks like youâve got a lot on your mind, though. You okay?â
You hesitate for a moment, then give a small nod âYeah... Iâm fine now. I just... Iâve been through some stuff. But Iâm glad youâre here.â
Law watched everything, staying back. As soon as he saw you hugging the cook, he took everything you dropped and left you alone with them, even because it looks like you forgot about him.
The next day, you find yourself meeting up with Sanji at his little noodle shop. Youâve told him everything, how you and Law have been pretending to be a married couple, how your feelings have gotten tangled up, and how, after Lawâs harsh words, youâve pulled away to keep things professional. You tell him about the emotional distance between you and Law, and the complicated feelings youâre dealing with.
âI donât know what to do anymore,â you admit, your hands twisting nervously in your lap âI feel like Iâm losing him. He doesnât want me around, and itâs driving me crazy. But I donât know how to fix it.â
Sanjiâs expression softens as he listens to you, his gaze gentle
âI thought it was just supposed to be a coverâ you murmur, âbut somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like one. And now... now it feels like everythingâs falling apart.â You pause, looking down âI think I care about him more than I thought I did.â
Sanji reaches out, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze âYouâve got a good heart, y/n. And I know Law is a complicated guy. But if you care about him, you need to figure out what you want. Youâre not just a cover story, okay?â
You meet his gaze, feeling a sense of clarity you hadnât realized you were missing âYouâre right. I just wish I knew how to fix it.â
Sanji leans in, his voice dropping lower âItâs okay to take things slow. And if you want to... maybe you could start by not hiding from him anymore.â
Before you can respond, you both hear some footsteps approaching. You quickly stand up and walk away from the alley, but you notice people beginning to gossip behind you.
âYou heard about y/n and her husband, right?â one woman whispers to her friend.
âYeah, I heard sheâs been cheating on him with that blonde guy. Can you believe that? I mean, the nerve!â another woman replies, her voice dripping with gossip.
The words hit you like a punch in the gut. You feel your face flush with embarrassment and frustration. Cheating? How did they come up with that?
You try to ignore it, but itâs hard. The whispers follow you as you walk back to the group, and you can feel the sting of their words deep in your chest.
Later that evening, as you rejoin Law and the rest of the crew, you notice his usual cold demeanor has shifted. Heâs standing by the fire, his back to you, as if heâs been waiting for you. When you approach, he doesnât immediately acknowledge you.
"Are you... okay?" you ask softly, but you can see the frustration in his posture. He doesnât respond immediately, but his jaw tightens.
âI donât appreciate people talking about my personal life like that, true or not...â Law says, his voice low and clipped âYouâve been avoiding me for days, and now I hear rumors? Whatâs going on?â
Your stomach twists in knots âLaw...â
âI don't care about you and the blondie but...â he cuts you off, his gaze icy âI canât focus when people are talking about me like that, especially if we're supposed to be undercover here.â
You feel your throat tighten, the weight of his words sinking in. Heâs frustrated, and his anger makes your heart ache âI didnât mean for any of this to happen, you know Sanji is my friend, people just don't know the truth and make things upâ you admit, your voice shaky.
Law sighs, running a hand through his hair, looking as if heâs about to snap âThen stop avoiding me. Weâre in this together, but if you keep pushing me away, Iâm not sure what weâre doing anymore... we can't bring so much attention on us.â
The atmosphere between you and Law is still tense. You donât want things to spiral even further, so you suggest an idea, something that might distract from the tension and let everyone cool off for a while.
"Why donât we go grab some food?" you suggest, your voice a little hesitant but hopeful.
Law turns to you, his expression neutral âYou think food is going to help?â
You shrug, trying to lighten the mood "Maybe. Besides, Iâve been hearing about this noodle shop... the chef is called Sanji, I think?... Iâve heard itâs good..."
Lawâs brows furrow, but his interest is piqued "Sanji? You think going right to him won't worsen things?"
You nod "Maybe if people see us all together, as three good friends, they're going to stop talk about me cheating..."
He looks at you for a moment, then sighs, clearly not wanting to be left alone with his thoughts any longer "Fine. Letâs go."
The small noodle spot is tucked away in a corner of Wano, busy and filled with the warmth of the cooking. When you and Law arrive, youâre greeted immediately by Sanjiâs bright smile, but thereâs something in his eyes that softens when he sees you. Heâs not as flirtatious as usual, and thereâs a sharpness in his gaze as he sees the tension between you and Law.
"Well, well, if it isnât the infamous 'married couple'" Sanji says, his voice light, though thereâs an edge to it now.
You try to smooth things over, grinning at him âYeah, weâre here to eat...â
Itâs time to kill the rumors.
âWeâll sit over here,â you say quickly, guiding Law to a seat âMake it clear to everyone that weâre... still a team.â
Law sits down stiffly, clearly not thrilled, but itâs obvious heâs playing along. He keeps his eyes ahead, refusing to acknowledge Sanjiâs deliberate coldness toward him.
Sanji brings over bowls of noodles with flair, but his attitude towards Law remains distant, even a little antagonistic. He makes sure to place the food right in front of you, offering a special smile "Just for you, y/n. A little something extra special, like always."
He looks at you, and his smile softens just a bit. But when his eyes flick to Law, the warmth vanishes, and the tension in the room grows thicker.
Law doesnât react right away, but you can feel the change in him. His jaw tightens, his body language growing even more tense than it was before. He clenches his fist under the table, clearly irritated.
"Stop playing games," Law mutters, his voice low and tight with barely contained frustration "Just serve the food and stop making this weird."
Sanji, clearly not intimidated, shrugs "If you donât like how things are going, maybe you should take a look at how youâre treating her. Itâs obvious youâve got no control over the situation"
You flinch at the words, but Sanjiâs eyes flicker to you in a way that makes you feel a bit guilty. You didnât want this to turn into some kind of game, but now, itâs getting harder to keep things under wraps.
You look at Law, hoping to redirect the conversation "Letâs just eat," you say, trying to keep things casual "We need to look like a normal couple to the town. We donât want any more rumors."
Law gives you a long, searching look before nodding "Fine. But weâre done with the theatrics, understood?"
As the meal progresses, the silence between you, Sanji, and Law grows thicker. The tension is almost unbearable, but itâs working, people around are starting to get the message. Law and you are a team, no matter the rumors, and the gossip about you "cheating" slowly starts to fade as the focus shifts to you two sitting together.
Sanji seems to settle into his role. He occasionally glances at you, making sure youâre taken care of, but the icy distance heâs putting between himself and Law is unmistakable. Law notices it too, and while heâs trying to keep his cool, itâs clear itâs starting to get under his skin.
Finally, Sanji returns to the counter, his back turned, leaving you and Law in silence. Itâs the perfect opportunity to clear the air, but neither of you speaks.
You glance at Law, noticing the frustration in his eyes. He doesnât like this. Doesnât like the way Sanji is treating you, doesnât like the way heâs feeling about the whole situation.
You try to lighten the mood, but itâs hard to ignore the tightness in his shoulders "You know, weâre supposed to be a married couple, not a couple of kids at a playground."
Law narrows his eyes at you "I didnât sign up for this. The missionâs getting complicated."
You try to ignore the tug in your chest, a bit of confusion creeping in "Itâs just a cover, Law. Nothingâs changed. Weâre just doing what we need to do."
But the words hang there, and even though you say them, you know that things arenât so simple anymore. You feel it, and you know Law does too.
As you leave the shop together, the streets of Wano no longer seem as welcoming as before. The weight of the situation presses down on you, and Lawâs behavior is starting to affect you in ways you didnât expect. You canât figure out if itâs the mission weighing on him, or if itâs something more.
After the meal at Sanjiâs, the rumors finally start dying down, but the damage between you and Law lingers. The tension is unbearable, Law barely looks at you, and you, still hurt from his earlier words, keep your distance.
Sanji notices. The crew notices. Even the damn town notices.
One evening, as you sit outside the inn you and Law have been staying at for your undercover mission, you overhear some locals whispering.
âThey say that woman is still in love with her husband, but he doesnât care for her.â âShame. She looks miserable.â âShe was always all so cute and clingy to him but she stopped entirely, he mustâve pushed her away.â
You clench your fists. Itâs one thing to suffer in silence, but another to hear strangers pitying you.
Law suddenly walks past you, pausing for a second before speaking, âGo inside.â His voice is firm but quiet.
You donât move âWhy do you care?â you murmur, not looking at him âYou made it clear I was just a nuisance to you and it's just a mission, which is almost over anyway given Zoro and Luffy are making trubles after trubles...â
Law exhales sharply âI neverââ He stops, frustrated, before running a hand down his face âListen, I was trying to stop myself fromââ He cuts himself off again, jaw clenched.
You finally turn to him âFrom what?â
His silence is enough of an answer.
Your heart clenches, but you shake your head âYou donât have to force yourself to tolerate me anymore, Law. Weâll finish the mission, and after thatââ
âEnough,â he snaps, suddenly grabbing your wrist. His grip is firm but not painful, just desperate âYou donât get to decide that.â
Your eyes widen as he pulls you toward him, his voice low but intense âI was a damn coward,â he mutters âYouâyou were always in my space, always teasing me, and Iââ He exhales sharply âI pushed you away because Iââ
You hold your breath.
âI fell for youâ Law finally admits, looking at you with something raw and vulnerable in his gaze âI fell so hard, and I didnât know how to deal with it.â
Your heart nearly stops.
âYou what?â
He groans, looking away âI canât stand you ignoring me. I canât stand watching you with Sanji, even though I know itâs nothing. And I hate that I made you think I didnât care.â
The words hit you like a storm, leaving you speechless. He looks genuinely frustrated, at himself.
You swallow hard before whispering, âSo what do we do now?â
Law looks at you, his grip tightening slightly âYou tell me,â he murmurs, voice quieter now âBecause if you still want me, then Iââ He hesitates, then sighs âI donât want this to be fake anymore.â
Your breath hitches.
For the first time in weeks, you grin âI mean... I think it's too soon to talk about marriage, isn't it?â
Law groans, rolling his eyes âUnbelievable.â
You laugh, and before you can stop yourself, you tug him down into a kiss.
And just like that, the mission doesnât feel so complicated anymore.
Back on the Polar Tang, the Heart Pirates immediately notice the change.
Law still wears his usual scowl, still grumbles under his breath whenever you tease him, but thereâs no real bite behind his words anymore. The biggest difference? He lets you get away with it.
You lean against his side as he studies a map, chin resting on his shoulder. He doesnât shove you off like he used to, he just sighs heavily, pretending to ignore you.
âOi, captain,â Shachi calls out, smirking âDidnât you say you hated being touched?â
Penguin snickers âYeah, man, what happened to all that complaining? Because right now, it looks like you like it.â
Law doesnât even look up, but you can see the way his jaw tightens, the tips of his ears turning pink âShut upâ he mutters, flipping a page of the map aggressively.
âOh, come on, itâs adorable,â Bepo chimes in, tail wagging âYou used to be all grumpy whenever she clung to you, and now you just accept it?â
You grin, tilting your head up to look at him âAww, so you do like my attention.â
His eye twitches âI didnât say that.â
âBut you didnât deny it.â
Shachi and Penguin lose it, laughing while Bepo beams like a proud parent.
Law exhales through his nose, rubbing his temples. But despite the grumbling, he doesnât move you away. And thatâs when it clicks.
Shachi leans back, crossing his arms âYâknow, I think we all got it wrong before.â
Penguin nods, smirking âYeah. We thought y/n was the lost cause, butââ
They both turn to Law, who immediately tenses, as if he knows whatâs coming.
âYou actually fell harder.â
The room falls silent.
You blink up at him, waiting for his reaction.
Law glares at his crew, looking about two seconds away from using Room just to teleport them out of his sight. But instead, he lets out a sharp exhale, shutting his eyes for a moment. When he opens them again, he just mutters âUnbelievable.â
You beam and press a quick kiss to his cheek, watching as his face turns bright red.
Yeah. Maybe being undercover in Wano wasnât such a disaster after all.

The scent of something rich and familiar fills the Sunnyâs kitchen, wrapping around you like a long-lost embrace. You donât realize youâve stopped moving, hovering near the door, until Sanji looks up from the stove and grins.
âPerfect timing, sweetheartâ he says, golden hair falling into his eyes as he gestures to the counter âIâm making something special tonight.â
Your heart clenches. It smells just like home. A deep, savory aroma that tugs at something buried under layers of time and fear.
You take a hesitant step forward âWhat⌠what is it?â
Sanji glances at you, the usual playful glint in his eyes softening into something more thoughtful âJust a little something I thought youâd like,â he says smoothly, but thereâs something knowing in his tone âWhy donât you sit? Itâs almost ready.â
You lower yourself onto a stool, watching as he moves with effortless grace. A flick of his wrist, a careful sprinkle of spices, and then he ladles the dish into a bowl, steam curling up in delicate wisps. He places it in front of you with an almost reverent touch.
The moment you see it, your breath catches.
It is home. The same dish your family used to make when you were young, before everything. Before the World Government, before the running, before you were forced to leave everything behind.
Your fingers tremble as you pick up the spoon. You take a bite.
The taste explodes across your tongue, rich, warm, so deeply familiar that your chest tightens. The flavors blend perfectly, just like you remember. Itâs impossible. You never told Sanji about this dish. You never told anyone.
A choked sound escapes your throat, and before you can stop it, hot tears spill down your cheeks.
Sanjiâs eyes widen âOi, oi! Whatâs wrong, love?â Heâs in front of you in a second, crouching slightly to meet your gaze. His hands hover near your shoulders, unsure if he should touch you âToo hot? Did I mess up the seasoning?â
You shake your head rapidly, pressing a hand over your mouth as you try to compose yourself âNoâitâs perfect. Too perfect.â Your voice wobbles âIt tastes just like⌠like home.â
Sanjiâs expression softens, the teasing edge in his smile replaced with something unbearably gentle. He reaches for a napkin and dabs at your tears with light, careful touches âI was hoping youâd say that.â
Your breath hitches âYou knew?â
He shrugs, but thereâs no smugness in it just quiet understanding âYou get this look sometimes when the crew talks about their homes,â he murmurs âLike youâre trying not to miss something too much. So I thought⌠maybe I could give you a little piece of it back.â
Your throat is too tight to speak. Instead, you throw your arms around him, pressing your face into his shoulder. He stiffens for a second before exhaling, his arms wrapping around you just as tightly.
For a long moment, neither of you move. The kitchen is warm, the scent of the meal still lingering in the air. Sanji rubs slow circles against your back, murmuring soft reassurances.
When you finally pull away, he cups your cheek, thumb brushing away the last traces of tears âNo more crying, alright? Foodâs meant to make you happy.â
You let out a watery laugh âYouâre too good to me, Sanji.â
His lips quirk up in a smirk, but thereâs a rare sincerity in his gaze âNah, never say that again. Only the best for my favorite, sweetheart.â
Sanji doesnât let you go right away. His hands linger at your waist, his touch warm and grounding, like heâs making sure you wonât disappear on him. You donât mind. In fact, you let yourself lean into him for just a moment longer, savoring the rare tenderness he reserves just for you.
Then he pulls back slightly, scanning your face with those sharp, perceptive eyes of his âFeeling better?â he asks softly.
You sniffle and nod, offering a small, embarrassed laugh âYeah. Sorry, I didnât mean toââ
Sanji clicks his tongue, cutting you off âDonât even start with that, sweetheart. You never have to apologize for feeling things...â His tone is firm, but thereâs nothing but warmth in his gaze, because who would even know better than him himself how feelings work.
You let out a shaky breath, staring down at the meal he made for you. Itâs still steaming, still perfect âHow did you even know how to make this?â you ask, poking at the dish with your spoon.
Sanji smirks, reaching for his cigarette but stopping himself before lighting it, probably because he doesnât want to ruin the moment. Instead, he tucks it behind his ear and leans against the counter, crossing his arms âLetâs just say a good chef knows how to read people,â he says smoothly âI paid attention. Also you talk in your sleep, you know?â
Your eyes widen in horror âI what?â
His grin stretches wider, teasing but fond âMmm. Little murmurs here and there. Nothing too embarrassingâthough I did catch you saying something about extra dumplings one night.â ...he's obviously hiding more though.
You groan, hiding your face in your hands âI hate you.â
He chuckles, nudging your shoulder with his knuckles âNo, you donât.â
You peek at him through your fingers, and damn it, heâs right. You donât. Not even a little.
Sanji watches you for a moment longer before pushing the bowl back toward you âEat up, love. Itâs not gonna be as good if it gets cold.â
You donât argue. You take another bite, and even though youâre no longer on the verge of tears, the warmth still spreads through you, filling a hollow space you didnât realize was so empty.
Sanji doesnât move away. He stays right there, leaning on the counter, watching you with a softness most people never get to see from him.
Itâs almost overwhelming.
âYou always do thisâ you murmur after a few bites.
âDo what?â
âTake care of me.â
Sanji tilts his head, then sighs dramatically, placing a hand over his heart âAh, what a tragic fateâbeing completely unable to not spoil you.â
You roll your eyes, but the heat rising in your cheeks betrays you âI mean it, Sanji. You always go out of your way for me.â
His expression shifts, turning serious in an instant. He reaches out, brushing his fingers over your wrist âBecause you deserve it,â he says simply âYouâve been through enough. You shouldnât have to do everything on your own.â
You swallow hard, staring at him. No teasing, no dramatic declarations... just honesty.
And somehow, thatâs even more dangerous.
âSanjiâŚâ
Before you can figure out what to say, he straightens up and claps his hands together âAlright, then! Since you like that dish so much, I suppose Iâll have to make it for you whenever you want!â
Your lips part in surprise âWhenever?â
âOf course!â he winks âYour personal chef is at your service, my dear.â
Your chest feels light, something rare, something precious.
You shake your head, smiling despite yourself âYouâre ridiculous.â
âAnd you love itâ he shoots back.
You hate how right he is, but you donât mind that much.
Sanji keeps his word.
Whenever you look even slightly homesick, heâs already in the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves, recreating that dish for you with effortless skill. He never asks why it means so much to you, he just knows. And every single time, he watches you eat like itâs the most important thing in the world, like making you happy is his favorite meal.
But tonight feels⌠different.
Dinner is over, the rest of the crew scattered around the Sunny, Luffyâs snoring on the deck, Zoroâs probably passed out somewhere, and Nami and Robin are deep in conversation. The ship is quiet, the waves lapping gently against the hull, and the kitchen is bathed in the soft glow of the lanterns.
Sanji leans against the counter, arms crossed, watching you sip the tea he made for you.
âYouâre spoiling me, yâknowâ you tease, setting the cup down.
He smirks, but thereâs something in his gaze tonight, something intentional. He steps closer, the warm spice of his cologne wrapping around you âAnd what if I like spoiling you?â
Your pulse jumps. You open your mouth, probably to say something witty, to brush it off, but the words vanish when Sanji reaches out, fingers brushing against your cheek, feather-light.
His touch lingers âYou still look like youâre holding something back,â he murmurs âEven after all this time.â
Your breath catches. Heâs too close, too warm, too much âSanjiââ
âYou donât have to tell me.â His thumb traces just beneath your cheekbone, and his voice drops, gentle but sure âI just want you to know⌠to understand... youâre not alone anymore, sweetheart.â
You blink up at him, the lump in your throat growing unbearable. How does he do this? How does he see through you like this?
âSanjiâŚâ You donât know what youâre trying to say, but it doesnât matter, because Sanjiâs tilting your chin up, his eyes flicking to your lips for the briefest second.
âCan I kiss you?â His voice is barely above a whisper.
You donât even hesitate âYes.â
He doesnât waste a second. His lips press against yours, warm and soft and perfect. He kisses you slowly, like heâs savoring every second, like heâs been waiting for this. One hand cradles your face, the other slipping around your waist, pulling you flush against him.
You melt into him, your fingers tangling in his shirt. He deepens the kiss, tilting his head just enough to steal your breath away, and for the first time in a long time, you donât feel lost.
You feel found.
Sanji pulls back just slightly, resting his forehead against yours, his breath a little unsteady.
âTell me what you need,â he murmurs âWhatever it is, Iâll give it to you.â
You smile, heart swelling in your chest âJust you, Sanji.â
His answering smile is the softest thing youâve ever seen. He presses another slow, lingering kiss to your lips before murmuring against them...
âThen you have me, sweetheart. Always.â

Law is not used to this.
Your hand casually rests on his arm as you lean in to show him something on a map, your fingers warm through the fabric of his coat. Itâs nothing but just a simple touch. Yet his muscles tense like you just set him on fire.
He scowls, barely sparing you a glance âCan you not?â
You blink at him, head tilting âNot what?â
He shifts, crossing his arms tightly over his chest, as if that will protect him from your casual affection âTouch me like that. Itâs⌠distracting.â
You snort âDistracting? Itâs just my hand, Law.â
âExactlyâŚâ he mutters, looking away.
You donât miss the faint pink dusting his cheeks and ears. Itâs cute. Ridiculously cute, considering heâs supposed to be this terrifying pirate captain. But you donât push⌠at least, not yet. Instead, you just hum and let the moment pass.
But you donât stop.
Over the next few days, you keep doing what comes naturally to you. A pat on the shoulder when he does something impressive, a hand on his back when you walk past him, a casual lean against him when youâre all gathered around on the Polar Tang discussing plans. Each time, Law stiffens. Each time, you see that flicker of surprise in his golden eyes, like he canât understand why you keep touching him.
Until, slowly, he starts breaking.
It happens when you least expect it. Youâre sitting on the deck, watching the waves, when Law sits down beside you, and not at a distance, not with space between, but close. His coat brushes against your arm. He doesnât say anything, doesnât even look at you.
You grin, deciding to test your luck. You lean into him, resting your head against his shoulder.
For a moment, heâs as still as a statue. You half-expect him to push you away, to grumble something about personal space. But then a long, heavy exhale, like heâs been holding it in for far too long. His shoulders relax under your touch, and when you shift slightly, you feel him lean back into you.
Your heart melts âSee? Not so bad, right?â
He grumbles something under his breath, but he doesnât move away. Instead, after a long pause, he mutters, âDonât get used to it.â
You grin âToo late.â
And when you lace your fingers through his, he squeezes back.
Later on not much change.
You touch Law casually, so naturally because thatâs how you are, and sadly for Law you do it unconsciously even in front of the crew. And every time, without fail, Lawâs reaction is hilarious.
Like the time you casually ruffle his hair after a strategy meeting. Bepo gasps audibly. Shachi and Penguin nearly choke on their drinks. Law? He freezes, ears burning red, before grumbling âIâm not a damn pet, Y/N.â
Or the time you loop your arm through his while walking through a town. He stiffens like you just announced youâre engaged, and the crew watches in barely-contained amusement as he tries to play it cool and fails spectacularly.
Then thereâs the best one yet⌠when you hug him from behind while heâs at his desk.
A perfectly innocent gesture, really. Youâre just draping your arms over his shoulders, peeking at the map heâs been studying for hours. But the way Lawâs breath hitches? The way his whole body tenses like heâs been caught committing a crime? Priceless.
Shachi whistles âCaptainâs gonna short-circuit.â
Penguin nudges Bepo âFive berries he tells Y/N to get lost in three seconds.â
But then, Law does what no one expects⌠he just sighs and keeps writing.
No snapping, no grumbling, no pushing you away. He just lets it happen.
The room goes dead silent.
ââŚCaptain?â Bepo ventures cautiously, eyes wide.
Law barely spares them a glance âWhat?â
Penguin gestures wildly at the two of you âUh, are we justâpretending this is normal now?â
You grin, tightening your arms around Lawâs shoulders âGuess he got used to me.â
The crew loses their minds.
âSince WHEN?â Shachi demands âYou were acting like Y/N was stabbing you every time they even just tapped your shoulder!â
âPeople adaptâ Law says simply, flipping a page in his book.
Your smile turns smug âHe doesnât just tolerate it now⌠he likes it.â
The moment you say it, you can feel Law roll his eyes. But instead of denying itâinstead of pushing you away like he always doesâhe reaches up, grabs your wrist, and pulls you down into his lap.
Shachi drops his drink.
Penguin screeches.
Bepoâs jaw literally falls open.
Youâre too stunned to even process it as Law leans back against his chair, keeping an arm around your waist like itâs the most normal thing in the world. Heâs not flustered. Heâs not grumpy. If anything, he looks smug.
You blink âDid you justââ
âYou started it,â Law says lazily, tapping his pen against the paper âNow deal with the consequences.â
The crew is in shambles.
Shachi shakes Penguin by the shoulders âBro, I think we lost our captain.â
Penguin is staring at Law like he just grew two heads âWho are you, and what did you do to Trafalgar Law?!â
Meanwhile, Law just goes back to writing, perfectly unbothered, while keeping you firmly in his lap.
The crew is still freaking out, voices overlapping in sheer disbelief.
âOkay, seriously, what the hell is going on?!â Shachi waves his arms around âIs this a prank? Are we in an illusion? Bepo, slap meââ
âGladlyâŚâ Bepo says, raising a paw.
Before he can, a familiar blue glow fills the room.
âRoom.â
In an instant, the crew vanishes, teleported right out of the studio.
You barely have time to process what just happened before Law tilts your chin up and kisses you.
Itâs not hesitant. Not shy. Just slow and deliberate, like heâs been waiting for this moment for far too long. His hand lingers at the back of your neck, keeping you close, while his lips move against yours.
When he finally pulls back, thereâs a rare smirk playing on his lips.
âThey were getting annoyingâ he murmurs.
Youâre still a little dazed, staring at him âYou⌠you teleported them just to kiss me?â
He hums âTheyâre just outside the room, not in the sea.â
Outside, you can hear the distant shouting of Shachi and Penguin pounding on the door.
âLAW, YOU CANâT JUST ROOM US OUT BECAUSE YOU WANNA MAKE OUTââ
âOPEN THE DAMN DOOR, CAPTAINââ
Bepoâs voice is more resigned âIâm happy for you both, but this is getting out of hand.â
You giggle, resting your forehead against Lawâs âYou know, theyâre never gonna let you live this down.â
His thumb brushes against your waist âLet them talk.â
He kisses you again.

Jealousy on the Sunny

The Straw Hat crew sits around the dining table on the Sunny, finishing up a meal Sanji prepared. The sun hangs low in the sky, casting a golden glow over the deck as the ship sails smoothly across the sea.
Nami, flipping through a stack of fresh bounty posters, suddenly pauses. She raises an eyebrow, then smirks.
âLook at this guy,â she says, sliding a poster to the center of the table âHis bounty just shot up to 400 million berries.â
Curious, you lean forward, along with the rest of the crew. The poster features a tall, broad-shouldered man with messy black hair and a sharp jawline. A confident smirk stretches across his face, and thereâs a dangerous glint in his eyes.
You stop whatever you were doing to look âDamn. Heâs kinda hot.â
The room goes silent.
A fork clatters onto a plate. Usopp chokes on his drink. Zoro raises an eyebrow but doesnât comment, while Sanji scoffs.
But the real reaction comes from Luffy. Sitting next to you, your captain stops chewing his meat mid-bite. His usual carefree grin fades, replaced by a slight frown. He stares at the poster, then at you.
âYou think heâs hot?â Luffy asks, his tone unusually flat.
You shrug, taking another look at the poster âI mean, yeah? Look at that smirk. And those armsâhe definitely works out.â
Sanji rolls his eyes âTch. As if a bounty makes someone attractive.â
âNot the bounty, justâyâknow, the whole vibe,â you say, waving your hand âHeâs got that mysterious, dangerous look.â
Luffy pouts, still staring at the poster like it personally offended him. He squints at it, then at you âBut heâs not even smiling properlyâ he argues.
You chuckle âNot everyone grins like an excited puppy all the time, Luffy.â
Luffyâs pout deepens âI do not look like a puppy.â
Usopp, watching the scene unfold, snickers âYou kinda do, though.â
âShut up.â
You tilt your head, still looking at the bounty poster âI bet heâs got a cool voice, too. Deep and smooth.â
Luffy abruptly crosses his arms âYou donât even know him.â
âTrue, but I can imagine.â
Luffy frowns harder. He looks between you and the poster, then suddenly snatches it off the table and crumples it in his hands.
âOi, what the hell?â Nami scolds.
Luffy grumbles, stuffing the balled-up paper into his pocket âThis guyâs stupid. I donât like him.â
You blink âLuffy, are you⌠jealous?â
His expression twitches âNo.â
Zoro snorts âYeah, sure.â
Luffy huffs and leans closer to you, nudging his forehead against yours âIâm way cooler than that guy..." he insists.
You bite back a smile âOh?â
âYeah! I can stretch, I have a ship, and Iâm gonna be King of the Pirates,â he lists proudly, puffing out his chest âThat guy probably doesnât even have meat on his ship.â
Sanji sighs âLuffy, everyone has meat on their shipââ
âNot as much as ours!â Luffy argues, still pressing close to you. His lips form a small pout as he stares at you expectantly, waiting for confirmation.
You canât help but laugh âOkay, okay. Youâre way cooler.â
His face instantly lights up, his signature grin returning âSee? I knew it!â
The rest of the crew groans at how easy you went on him, but you donât care. Luffy tugs you closer, resting his chin on top of your head, still grinning.
âThat guyâs dumb. You donât need to look at other pirates,â he says âYouâve already got me.â
You shake your head fondly âYeah, yeah. I guess I do.â
Luffy hums happily at your words, wrapping his arms around you in a loose but firm hold. His warmth seeps through your clothes, and the familiar scent of sea salt and adventure clings to him. Heâs content now, his jealousy already forgotten.
The rest of the crew, however, is not as quick to move on.
Nami crosses her arms âYouâre seriously going to let him win that easily?â
You shrug âWhat can I say? I like my captain.â
Sanji scoffs, lighting a cigarette âTch. You have no taste.â
Usopp shakes his head, grinning âNah, she just knows that if she keeps teasing him, Luffy might actually go pick a fight with that guy.â
Luffy perks up at that âOh! Should I?â
âNo!â everyone shouts in unison.
You chuckle, resting your hand on his chest âLuffy, you canât just fight someone because I said he looks good.â
âWhy not?â Luffy tilts his head âI donât like it when you say that about other guys.â
You smirk, deciding to tease him just a little more âBut what if he is strong?â
Luffy immediately sits up straight, his expression serious âI donât care. Iâd still beat him.â
You laugh, patting his cheek âRelax, Captain. I donât care about him. Youâre the only pirate Iâm interested in.
Luffy beams, pulling you closer again âGood! âCause I already decidedâyouâre mine.â
Your heart skips a beat at how easily he says it, like itâs the most natural thing in the world. The crew groans again, muttering about how unfair it is that Luffy gets away with everything. But you?
You just smile and let him hold you, knowing that no other pirate could ever compare.
Luffy is still grinning, completely satisfied with himself, but youâre not done yet. His arms are wrapped tightly around you, his warmth soaking into your skin, and that smug little smile on his face is just too cute.
You tilt your head, looking up at him âSo⌠if Iâm yours, what does that make you?â
Luffy blinks âHuh?â
You smirk, fingers tracing lightly over his chest âIf Iâm yours, then youâre mine too, right?â
His grin falters for a second, a faint dusting of red creeping up his cheeks. Heâs never really thought about it like that âUh⌠yeah,â he mumbles âI guess so.â
You hum in amusement âGood.â Then, before he can react, you lean up and press a soft kiss to his cheek.
Luffy freezes. His entire body goes stiff, and for once, heâs completely silent.
The crew erupts.
âWhoa, whoa, whoaâdid she justâ?!â Usopp practically chokes on his own words.
Zoro snickers âDidnât think Iâd ever see Luffy speechless.â
Sanji groans dramatically, gripping his chest âWhy must I suffer like this?!â
Meanwhile, Luffy slowly lifts a hand to his cheek, eyes wide. He turns to you, mouth slightly open, like his brain is still catching up to what just happened.
You giggle at his reaction âWhat? You can call me yours, but I canât kiss you?â
Luffyâs face breaks into the widest, happiest grin youâve ever seen âNo, no, you can! Do it again!â
You laugh, shaking your head âMaybe later.â
âAw, câmon!â He starts leaning closer, obviously wanting another one.
You place a hand on his face, pushing him back slightly âYouâre acting like a little kid.â
He pouts âSo? You kissed me first.â
âAnd you got greedy right awayâ you tease.
Luffy huffs but doesnât let go of you. Instead, he nuzzles into your neck, still grinning âI like it,â he mumbles âYou should do it more.â
Your heart flutters, and you roll your eyes playfully âMaybe if you stop getting jealous over random bounty posters.â
Luffy immediately lifts his head âOkay! I promise! No more getting jealous!â
You raise an eyebrow âThat fast?â
âYep!â He grins âAs long as you keep kissing me, I donât care about anyone else!â
You shake your head, laughing âYouâre ridiculous.â But as you look at him, at his bright smile, his happy, expectant expression, you sigh in defeat.
ââŚFine.â
You lean in, pressing a quick kiss to his lips this time. Itâs soft, warm, and sweet, just like him.
Luffy practically vibrates with excitement âHehehe.â
The crew groans.
âGreat. Now heâs never gonna shut up about thisâ Zoro mutters.
You just smile, because honestly? You donât mind at all.
Luffy is still grinning like an idiot, arms wrapped snugly around you, his forehead resting against yours. His excitement is contagious, and you canât help but smile too.
But then he tilts his head, eyes dropping to your lips.
âHey,â he says softly âKiss me again.â
Your heart skips a beat. The way heâs looking at you, curious, eager, completely focused, makes your face heat up.
You roll your eyes, pretending to be unimpressed âYouâre so greedy.â
Luffy just grins wider âYep.â
You hesitate for a second, but honestly, you donât really want to resist. So, before you can overthink it, you reach up, cupping his face in your hands. His skin is warm under your palms, sun-kissed and slightly rough from all his adventures.
Then, you close the small distance between you, pressing your lips against his.
Luffy goes completely still. For a second, heâs not even breathing. But then, just as you start to pull away, his arms tighten around you, and he kisses you back... messy, unpracticed, but so incredibly Luffy.
His lips are warm, soft, and he leans into you like he never wants to let go. Itâs not a deep kiss, not rushed or desperate, just pure and full of excitement.
When you finally break apart, he stares at you, eyes wide and shining.
Then, his entire face lights up.
âWOAH!!â He bounces slightly, still holding onto you âThat was awesome! Do it again!â
You laugh breathlessly, shaking your head âCalm down, Captain.â
But Luffy is anything but calm. He turns to the rest of the crew, still grinning like he just found a new adventure.
âDid you guys see that?! She kissed me!! On the lips!!â
The crew collectively groans.
âYes, Luffy. We sawâ Nami says, rubbing her temples.
Zoro smirks âBet you wonât shut up about it for a week.â
âI wonât!!â Luffy declares proudly, hugging you closer âThis is the best day ever!!â
You sigh, laughing as he nuzzles into you âYouâre impossible.â
âBut you like me anywayâ he says smugly.
You roll your eyes, but you canât deny it ââŚYeah. I do.â
Luffy beams, squeezing you tighter âGood! âCause I really, really like you too!â
You smile, resting your head against his chest. The bounty poster is long forgotten, because really, no one else in the world could ever compare to him.

Hello there, dear! I hope you're having a good day!
I absolutely love your "Accidental PDA" scenarios. Could I please request a part 2? Maybe with Shanks, Mihawk, and Crocodile?
I love those silly men~âĄ
(Accidental) PDA

characters: shanks, usopp, mihawk, crocodile, sabo
a/n: I tried to make them longer and added usopp and sabo, hope you donât mind
words count: around 0.5k - 0.8k each

ââ .⌠Shanks:
The tavern is loud, filled with the usual rowdiness of the Red-Haired Pirates, and youâre just trying to enjoy your drink in peace. Shanks, however, has other plans.
Without thinking, he throws an arm around your shoulders, tugging you in closer as he laughs at something Benn said. Itâs casual, effortless, like itâs second nature to him. You stiffen for a second, heat creeping up your neck, but Shanks doesnât even seem to notice. Or if he does, he doesnât care.
The crew does, though.
Lucky Roo is grinning into his plate, Yasopp gives a low whistle, and someone in the back yells, âOi, Captain, didnât know you were the handsy type!â
The teasing sets off a chain reaction. More whistles, some exaggerated winks, and a few dramatic âGet a room!â comments. Shanks finally glances around, noticing the way everyone is looking at you, at him, at the way his arm is still draped over you like you belong there.
And then, the bastard smirks.
âJealous?â he asks, completely unfazed.
You, on the other hand, feel like sinking into the floor. You push at his chest, but he doesnât budge, only chuckles as if this is the funniest thing in the world.
âYou could let goâŚâ you mutter, but your voice lacks conviction.
âCould,â he agrees, but his arm stays right where it is, fingers lazily tracing patterns on your shoulder âBut I like this better.â
The crew erupts into laughter again, and you just know theyâre never letting this go.
You groan, sinking deeper into Shanksâ side as the crew erupts into even more laughter and teasing. His arm is still draped lazily over your shoulders, fingers tracing idle patterns on your sleeve like he has all the time in the world.
âCaptain, you should at least buy âem dinner first!â someone calls out, setting off another round of whistles.
Shanks just grins âDinner? Please, I treat âem well every day.â
You swat at his chest, finally pushing him off you, only for him to dramatically clutch his heart like you just mortally wounded him âOw, sweetheart, that hurt.â
âNot as much as this embarrassment,â you mutter, crossing your arms âDo you have to be like this?â
He hums, tilting his head as if considering âHmm⌠yeah, I think I do.â
The crew howls at that, and Yasopp slaps the table âDamn, youâre really done for, huh, Captain?â
Shanks just leans in again, closer this time, and you can feel his warmth even though heâs not touching you anymore. His voice drops, low and teasing âI mean⌠you donât seem to mind that much.â
You open your mouth to protest but what can you even say? That your face isnât burning? That your heart isnât racing just a little? Because that would be a lie, and everyone here would see straight through it.
So instead, you huff and grab your drink, taking a long sip to avoid answering.
Unfortunately, Shanks notices.
He chuckles, resting his chin in his palm as he watches you, utterly amused âOh yeah,â he murmurs âYouâre definitely cute when youâre flustered.â
The entire crew loses it.
ââ .⌠Usopp:
The two of you sit together on the deck of the Sunny, basking in the warmth of the afternoon sun. The ship rocks gently on the waves as you both watch Luffy, Chopper, and Franky attempt to launch themselves out of a makeshift slingshot (which is absolutely going to end in disaster).
Usopp is so focused on their antics that, without thinking, he reaches out and takes your hand.
Not in a grand romantic way. Not with any intention at all. Just⌠naturally. Like itâs the most normal thing in the world.
Your fingers are warm, your grip instinctively curling around his. And for a few blissful minutes, he doesnât even notice what heâs done.
Then, of course, someone has to ruin it.
Zoro snorts from where he lounges with his sword resting against his shoulder âOi, Usopp, holding hands now? Whenâs the wedding?â
Usopp nearly throws your hand away like itâs on fire. His face goes red so fast it could put a cherry to shame.
He waves his hands frantically âW-WHAT?! IâHOLDING HANDS? WHO? ME? NO WAY!â
Zoro looks unimpressed âYou literally just were.â
Luffy grins wide âOhhh! Are you guys dating? Why didnât you tell us?!â
Usopp flails, looking at you for help, only to find you laughing.
Youâre not embarrassed. Youâre not panicking. Youâre just sitting there, watching him combust, an amused glint in your eyes.
Oh, this is bad.
Sanji smirks as he lights a cigarette âMy, my, Usopp. Didnât know you were such a romantic.â
Usoppâs hands are everywhere, gesturing wildly as he tries to dig himself out of this nightmare âIâI wasnâtâI mean, I was, but I wasnâtââ
Robin chuckles behind her book âDonât worry. It was cute.â
Usopp makes a strangled noise that is somewhere between a squawk and a plea to be thrown into the ocean. His heart is about to explode. He canât even look at you now.
And then youâstill so infuriatingly calmâjust shrug and say âWell, I donât mind.â
Usopp forgets how to breathe.
Chopper gasps âSo you are dating?!â
Usopp immediately short-circuits âTHATâS NOT WHAT THEY MEANTâWAIT, WHAT DID YOU MEAN?!â
You just laugh again, standing up and stretching like this is the most casual thing in the world âIâll let you figure that out.â
Then you walk away, leaving a completely fried Usopp sitting there, hands in his hair, while the rest of the crew loses their minds.
Luffy grins âI think you just got confessed to.â
Usopp screams.
He stares after you, mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
Sanji exhales a puff of smoke, looking far too entertained âWell? You gonna sit there like an idiot or go after them?â
Usopp smacks his hands against his face âG-go after them? WHAT FOR?!â
Luffy tilts his head âBecause they just confessed?â
âTHEY DID NOT CONFESS!â Usopp shrieks, pointing wildly in the direction you disappeared. âTHAT WAS VAGUE! THAT COULD MEAN ANYTHING!â
Franky crosses his arms âCould mean they like you.â
Chopper nods âOr that they wouldnât mind if you liked them.â
Robin smiles behind her book âOr that theyâre waiting for you to make the next move.â
Usopp is malfunctioning. His brain is overheating. This is worse than any battle, worse than any enemy encounterâthis is romantic ambiguity, and it is killing him.
Zoro sighs, clearly losing patience âLook, either go ask them what they meant or sit here and keep yelling about it. Either way, shut up.â
Usopp grabs his head âThis is too much. This is a nightmare. I needâI need time to processââ
Nami rolls her eyes âIf you take too long, they might think you donât care.â
Usopp bolts upright.
He cares. Oh, he cares. The thought of you thinking otherwise makes his stomach twist into knots.
He groans dramatically âUGHâFINE! IâLL GO!â
The crew cheers. He glares at them âIf I die of embarrassment, Iâm haunting you all.â
Luffy beams âCan ghosts hold hands?â
Usopp sprints before he can get sucked into another round of teasing.
ââ .⌠Mihawk:
The castle is quiet, save for the clinking of cutlery against fine china. You, Mihawk, and Perona are seated at the grand dining table, enjoying, or rather, trying to enjoy, dinner.
Everything is peaceful until your fork slips, clattering against your plate before tumbling off the tableâs edge. Without thinking, Mihawk moves.
In one smooth motion, he catches the utensil mid-air, his fingers brushing against yours as he hands it back. Itâs nothing, barely even a touch, but the air shifts immediately.
Perona, halfway through taking a bite, freezes.
Her wide eyes flick between you and Mihawk, and a slow, knowing smirk spreads across her face âOh?â she sings, resting her chin in her hands âThat was⌠interesting.â
You blink, confused âWhat?â
She grins âDidnât know Hawky was the touchy type.â
Mihawk sighs, unimpressed âDonât be ridiculous.â
But Perona isnât letting this go âOhhh, donât try to act all coolâI saw that.â She points her fork at him accusingly âYou totally just pulled a âcasually affectionate, but I wonât admit itâ move.â
You scoff, shaking your head âIt was just a forkââ
âIt was not just a fork!â Perona interrupts dramatically âHe caught it! He touched your hand! He lingered!â
Mihawk pinches the bridge of his nose, clearly regretting every life decision that led to this moment âThis is absurd.â
Perona leans in with a wicked grin âAdmit it. You like them.â
Mihawk finally meets your gaze, and for just a second, so brief you might have imagined it, you see something flicker in his eyes. Something unreadable. Something dangerous.
Then, as if nothing happened, he looks away âYouâre being insufferableâ he mutters to Perona, taking a slow sip of his wine.
She cackles, delighted âAnd youâre avoiding the question!â
You, caught between amusement and second-hand embarrassment, shake your head âAlright, thatâs enough. Can we just eat in peace?â
Mihawk exhales through his nose, giving you the faintest nod. But as you pick up your fork again, you feel his gaze lingering just a second too long.
And this time, you are the one avoiding eye contact.
Perona is still grinning, twirling her fork between her fingers as she watches you both like a cat who just found the perfect toy to play with âYouâre blushinggggâ she sing-songs.
You nearly choke on your drink âI am not.â
She gasps dramatically âOh my God, you so are! This is the best day of my life.â
Mihawk sighs, setting his glass down with an audible clink âPerona.â
Something about the way he says her name, low, warning, should be enough to shut her up. Should be. But Perona, being Perona, just grins wider âWhat?â she asks innocently, resting her chin in her hands âIâm just making an observation. Itâs not my fault that youââ
Mihawk lifts a hand, and for a moment, you think heâs about to cut her off with a sharp retort. Instead, his fingers brush against the base of his wine glass, moving it an inch to the side. A subtle shift. A deliberate one.
And then you realise his gaze hasnât left you since this conversation started.
Your breath catches. Itâs not dramatic, not obvious, but itâs enough.
Enough for Peronaâs eyes to widen.
âOh.â She leans back, eyebrows raising âWait. Hold on. Wait.â
Mihawk finally looks at her, his usual unreadable expression in place âWhat?â
Perona points between you both âThis is real, isnât it?â
You stiffen âWhat is real?â
She gasps again, clutching her chest like she just uncovered the biggest secret of the century âYou! Him! This! Oh my God, I was just teasing, but youâre actuallyââ
Mihawk exhales sharply, reaching for his wine again âPerona.â
âWhat! You canât expect me not to react!â She gestures wildly âI live in this creepy castle with you, and nothing fun ever happens! Of course Iâm going to enjoy this!â
You groan, rubbing your temples âPerona, I swearââ
But sheâs already giggling, positively thrilled âOh, this is so cute. Mihawk, are you going to deny it? Hm?â She bats her lashes dramatically âGonna tell me Iâm imagining things? That you donât look at them like that?â
Mihawk doesnât answer right away.
Instead, he sets his glass down, levels Perona with a stare so sharp it could probably cut through steel, and says, voice smooth as ever âMind your business.â
Perona lets out a scream of pure, unfiltered excitement.
ââ .⌠Crocodile:
The casino is buzzing, filled with the sounds of clinking glasses and the murmur of high-stakes deals. You walk beside Crocodile as he moves through the crowd, his presence alone enough to part people like the Red Sea.
Itâs nothing new, heâs intimidating without trying, and people know better than to get in his way. But as the two of you step toward a private lounge, the crowd thickens, bodies pressing in too close. Instinct takes over.
A firm hand lands on your lower back.
Itâs subtle, barely even a touch, but the warmth of it sends a jolt through your spine. Crocodile doesnât say anything, doesnât even glance at youâhe just guides you forward, fingers pressing lightly, keeping you close as he moves with that same effortless authority.
You donât even have time to process it before you hear a quiet, amused scoff.
Daz Bones, walking a few steps behind, raises a brow âDidnât think you were the chivalrous type.â
Crocodile barely reacts. If anything, he looks bored, taking a slow drag of his cigar before exhaling, smoke curling through the air âShut it.â
Daz, to his credit, doesnât push. But the corner of his mouth twitches, like heâs holding back a smirk.
You glance up at Crocodile, expecting him to move his hand away now that the crowd has thinned. He doesnât.
In fact, his fingers shift just slightly, a feather-light movement that sends a slow, creeping heat to your face.
Daz chuckles under his breath âDidnât peg you as the clingy type, either.â
Crocodile stops walking.
The air changes.
Itâs not obvious, no outburst, no harsh words, but the shift is immediate. Tension crackles, and for a split second, it feels like the temperature in the room just dropped.
Daz, wise as he is, raises his hands in mock surrender âForget I said anything.â
Crocodile doesnât even spare him a glance. His hand, however, still doesnât move.
You swallow hard âUh. You canââ
âStay close,â he interrupts, voice low and even âPeople stare too much.â
Itâs a flimsy excuse. You both know it.
But as his fingers press just a little more firmly against your back, guiding you forward once more, you decide not to call him out on it.
You donât say anything. Not because you donât want to, but because you donât trust yourself to.
Crocodileâs hand is still there, still resting on your lower back like it belongs, and every nerve in your body is hyper-aware of the heat seeping through his glove. You try not to think about it, try to focus on anything else, but the way his fingers occasionally press just a little firmer, like heâs keeping track of you, making sure youâre right where he wants you, has your thoughts spinning.
Daz Bones says nothing more, though you can feel his amusement. The bastardâs probably enjoying this way too much.
Finally, Crocodile leads you into the private lounge, away from the crowd. The moment you step inside, you expect him to pull away. To let go.
He doesnât.
Instead, he moves past you to the plush seating area, finally sliding his hand away slowly, like heâs reluctant to do so.
You exhale, a little too sharply. His golden eyes flick to you, sharp and assessing.
âYou nervous?â
You scoff, folding your arms to hide the way your hands might be shaking just a little âPlease. Why would I be nervous?â
Crocodile doesnât answer right away. Instead, he takes a slow drag from his cigar, exhaling smoke in a way that feels almost deliberate. Calculated. Then, just as smoothly, he reaches for the glass of whiskey set out for him.
âYou tell me,â he says finally, voice smooth as silk âYouâre the one who went quiet.â
Your jaw clenches âYouâre imagining things.â
He hums, low and amused âAm I?â
Before you can fire back, the lounge door swings open, and one of his subordinates steps in with a report. The atmosphere shifts immediately, Crocodileâs expression goes from teasing to cold, all business. He gestures for you to sit beside him on the couch, as if nothing just happened, as if he didnât have his hand on you like a silent claim minutes ago.
Youâre still reeling, still trying to get a grip on yourself, but you move toward him anyway, settling next to him as he begins discussing plans.
And then, so casually you almost donât noticeâhis arm drapes along the back of the couch.
Close.
Too close.
Not touching, but close enough that if you shifted even slightly, his fingers would graze your shoulder.
Itâs intentional. It has to be.
You glance at him, searching for any hint of smugness, but heâs unreadable. Just focused, listening to the report with that same cold indifference.
But when you shift in your seat, just slightly, testingâhis fingers twitch.
Your stomach flips.
He doesnât look at you, doesnât acknowledge it. But that single, almost imperceptible movement is enough to confirm it:
Crocodile is absolutely doing this on purpose now.
ââ .⌠Sabo:
Sabo considers himself a composed man. A logical man. He doesnât fluster easily.
At least, thatâs what he thought.
Until you came along and ruined everything.
It happens on a regular afternoon at the Revolutionary Army base. The sun is shining, birds are singing, and Sabo is absolutely not panickingâŚyet.
The two of you are sitting together, going over some mission reports. Nothing unusual. Nothing suspicious. Just work.
And then it happens.
Without thinking, Sabo rests his hand on your knee.
Not in a weird way. Not in an intentional way. Just⌠naturally. Like itâs the most normal thing in the world.
You donât move. You donât even react.
Sabo doesnât notice.
But Koala does.
She grins.
âWow, Sabo, I didnât know you were so affectionate.â
Sabo blinks âHuh?â
Koala gestures at your knee, where his hand is still resting comfortably.
He follows her gaze. Sees it. Processes it. Immediately short-circuits.
His hand jumps away like heâs been burned. He chokes on air. His soul leaves his body.
âIâTHAT WASâWAITââ He scrambles for an excuse, for an explanation, for anything that isnât I just did that on instinct like a lovesick idiot.
Koala smirks âOh, donât stop on my account.â
Sabo malfunctions. He turns to you, desperate for backup, only to find you watching him with amusement.
Oh, this is bad.
Hack strolls by, raising an eyebrow âYou two finally together?â
Sabo dies on the spot.
âWEâRE NOTââ He practically explodes, looking at you with betrayal when you donât immediately deny it.
You shrug âI donât mind.â
The world ends.
Koala gasps dramatically âSo you wouldnât mind if Sabo kept touching you?â
Sabo chokes âKOALA.â
You just smile âNope.â
Saboâs brain shuts down. His face burns. His entire life flashes before his eyes.
Koala grins âSabo, you gonna sit there or take their hand again?â
Sabo does what any rational, composed second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army would do in this situation.
He runs.
Straight out of the room, down the hall, past a very confused Dragon, who barely lifts an eyebrow as Sabo barrels past him like heâs fleeing for his life.
He does not stop until heâs outside, hands on his knees, breath coming in short, panicked gasps.
âYou okay there, Chief of Staff?â
Sabo jumps.
Koala is standing behind him, arms crossed, looking way too smug.
He straightens immediately, clearing his throat âIâI just needed fresh air.â
âRight,â Koala says, unconvinced âTotally not because you just had a full-blown crisis over a little hand placement.â
Sabo groans, burying his face in his hands âI wasnât thinking! It was instinct! And thenâand then they saidââ His voice breaks. He canât even say it out loud.
Koala grins âThat they donât mind?â
Sabo melts into the floor.
She claps him on the back âCome on, Sabo. This is a good thing.â
âHow is this a good thing?!â He looks at her, betrayed âI made an absolute fool of myself!â
âNo, you just made it obvious.â
Sabo freezes.
Koala raises an eyebrow, like she can see the realization hitting him in real time âWait. Donât tell me you actually thought you were being subtle this whole time?â
Sabo has to sit down.
He buries his face in his hands âThis is a nightmare.â
Koala laughs âYouâre so dramatic. Just go talk to them.â
âI canât justâjust walk up to them after that!â Sabo gestures wildly âWhat if they were just teasing me? What if they didnât actually mean it? What ifââ
âWhy donât you ask them instead of spiraling?â
Sabo hates how logical that is.
Koala grins âTheyâre still inside, you know.â
Sabo grits his teeth. Stands up. Forces himself to breathe.
And then, before he can overthink himself into oblivion, he marches back inside.
You glance up when he approaches âHey, you okay? You ran out of here pretty fast.â
Sabo feels his entire existence collapse.
But he forces himself to focus, to stay calm. He sits down across from you, clasping his hands together like heâs about to deliver a serious political statement.
ââŚDid you mean it?â
You blink âMean what?â
He swallows hard âThat you donât mind.â
Thereâs a pause.
Then you smile, tilting your head âYeah. I meant it.â
Sabo forgets how to breathe.
You lean forward, resting your chin on your hand âWhy? Do you mind?â
His mouth opens. Closes. Opens again. He is malfunctioning at maximum capacity.
ââŚNo.â
You grin âGood.â
Then, so casually, you reach over and take his hand this time.
Sabo dies.

Cuddling - Part 1
Summary: How do they cuddle you?
Characters: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Ace, Sabo, Law, Kid
Genre: Fluff
CW: None // SFW
âââÂ
Luffy:
Heâs more of a koala bear than a literal koala bear. He doesnât even realize cuddling is a thing because itâs so normal to him, like eating and breathing. Youâve literally never slept in the same bed with him without him wrapping himself around you (neither has anyone else, for that matter). He even gets a little grumpy if youâre not there for him to hold on to.Â
Zoro:
Itâs not called cuddling, thatâs for sure. He might refer to holding you, but thatâs about it. One of his guilty pleasures, though, is being held by you. He especially likes it when you sit behind him and wrap both your arms and legs around him, bonus points if you run your hands up and down his chest and abdomen.Â
Sanji:
A total cuddle bug. He usually comes to bed after you (though not so late that youâre already asleep), and likes to slip between your legs while youâre sitting up against the pillows. Bonus points if you rub his back or smooth his hair. Heâs also one for quick daytime snuggles, often coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around you for a long hug.Â
Ace:
He grabs hold of you easily, but he doesnât let go easily. If he falls asleep, youâll be stuck by his side until he wakes up because he holds on to you so tight. Heâs clingy, but not in a little spoon kind of way, more of a âIâm going to put you where I want youâ kind of way. It puts him at ease to keep you so close because he feels your a little safer that way.Â
Sabo:
Heâs so sweet about it. He holds you like a baby every time you two have any privacy, encouraging you to wrap not only your arms but also your legs around him. He sort of pretends itâs to put you at ease and make you feel safe, but the weight and warmth of your body makes him feel safe and, in particular, makes him feel capable and dependable.Â
Law:
If you call him the little spoon, heâll break up with you, but he is often the little spoon. He gets annoyed when you donât automatically wrap your arms around him in bed because he doesnât want to embarrass himself by asking. One of his favorite things in the world is falling asleep with his head in your lap while you play with his hair.Â
Kid:
Not so much cuddling as it is him collapsing on top of you. If you manage to fall asleep without him on top of you, youâll wake up either with him on top of you or to him yanking you into his arms to hold you against his chest while heâs still asleep. Treats you like his teddy bear, hangs on to you extra tight when heâs stressed.Â

As you slowly opened your eyes, the sound of waves crashing against the shore and loud explosions filled the air, sending a chill down your spine.
When you fully woke up, you realized that you weren't at the marine base anymore. Instead, you found yourself in an unfamiliar room, surrounded by normal furniture and decorations.
As you looked around, you noticed the unfamiliar surroundings and a sense of unease washed over you, leaving you wondering how you ended up in this mysterious place.
Did you get kidnapped by pirates? You thought as you slowly got out of the bed, checking if you were being watched.
Once you confirmed that you were not being watched, you cautiously made your way towards the door, trying to make sense of your surroundings and find a way to escape from this mysterious place.
With a mixture of relief and curiosity, you turned the doorknob and cautiously opened the door, half-expecting to be met with a hostile sight.
However, to your surprise, the hallway beyond appeared just as ordinary as the room you had woken up in, leaving you with even more questions about your whereabouts and how you had ended up there.
As you cautiously stepped into the hallway, you couldn't help but notice the subtle swaying motion beneath your feet. It suddenly dawned on you that the structure you were on was definitely a ship, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore earlier made sense now.
The pieces were slowly coming together, but you still had no idea how or why you had ended up on this mysterious vessel.
As you heard the distant yelling, your instincts kicked in and you followed the sound, moving stealthily and keeping your guard up at all times. Whatever the reason for your presence on this ship, it was clear that you were not alone, and finding out who else was on board and what their intentions were became your top priority.
You ran until you were met by a door, your heart pounding in your chest. With a mixture of trepidation and curiosity, you slowly opened the door, and what you saw made your jaw drop in disbelief.
Before your eyes, the epic battle between the Strawhat Pirates and the Marines unfolded. The ship rocked with each explosive clash, the air filled with the clash of swords and the booming of cannons. As you watched in awe, it became clear that you had somehow found yourself on the Strawhat ship, caught in the midst of their daring adventure on the high seas.
However, as you watched the battle unfold, a sudden realization hit you like a cannonball. You then remembered that you were a marine, sworn to uphold justice and protect the innocent. Being on an enemy ship was not only dangerous but also went against everything you stood for.
Panic set in as you desperately searched for a way to escape without being noticed, knowing that your presence here could jeopardize not only your own life but also the lives of your fellow marines.
Conflicting emotions surged within you as you struggled to make sense of your situation.
How had you ended up on the Strawhat ship, and what would be the consequences of being discovered by either side in this epic battle?
You quickly ran over to the side of the ship, scanning the horizon for any sign of land or a nearby vessel that could offer a means of escape. The sound of cannon fire and the clash of swords grew louder behind you, fueling your urgency to find a way out before you were caught in the crossfire or recognized by either the Strawhat Pirates or the Marines.
"Y/N! Wait!" a voice yelled behind you and you jumped, startled by the unexpected interruption.
Relief washed over you as you recognized Chopper, the Strawhat Pirates' doctor, running towards you. Despite being on opposing sides, Chopper had always been kind and compassionate.
As he approached, he called out again, his voice filled with concern, "Y/N, are you alright? I saw you running towards the edge of the ship. You're not thinking of jumping, are you?"
"Chopper, how did I get on your ship? I shouldn't be here," you yelled over the commotion, desperately trying to make yourself heard. Chopper's expression turned serious as he reached your side, panting slightly from the running.
"I don't know how you ended up here, but right now, your safety is what matters. We'll figure out the rest later. Come with me, I'll find a safe place for you."
"I shouldn't stay here, Chopper. I'm a Marine," you said, your voice filled with guilt and conflict. Chopper looked at you with understanding in his eyes and replied, "I know, but right now, our priority is to keep you safe. We'll find a way to sort things out later. Trust me."
Before you could respond, a loud yell echoed from one of the main marine ships, and you immediately recognized the voice - it was Vice Admiral Mr Anstis, your mentor and one of the highest-ranking Marines.
Panic surged through you as you realized the gravity of the situation - if Mr Anstis discovered you on the Strawhat ship, there would be no escape from the consequences.
"Y/N!!!!" Mr Anstis' voice echoed across the seas, sending shivers down your spine. The thought of facing your mentor, who had always held high expectations for you, filled you with dread.
If he discovered you on the Strawhat ship, not only would it jeopardize your career as a Marine, but it could also strain your relationship with him forever.
"Oh so your name is Y/N!" Luffy said happily while deflecting the cannon balls. His carefree attitude provided a momentary distraction from the impending danger, but you knew that time was running out.
If Mr Anstis discovered you on the Strawhat ship, it could not only result in the end of your career as a Marine, but it could also lead to severe consequences for the Strawhat Pirates themselves.
The delicate balance of trust and loyalty hung in the air, and you knew that the next few moments would determine the course of your fate.
"Chopper, you can't just run away!" a voice yelled from close by. It was Nami, her tone filled with urgency. "We can't risk our entire crew's safety for one person, especially if they're a Marine. We need to make a decision, now."
Chopper looked at Nami with determination and replied, "I understand your concerns, Nami, but we can't just abandon Y/N. They saved my life, and I believe in giving them a chance. We'll find a way to navigate this situation without putting our crew at risk."
"Chopper, I appreciate your concern, but I think it's best if I head back," you attempted to reason with him, your voice steady despite the chaos around you.
"Absolutely not! No one is leaving this place!" Luffy shouted, his determination palpable as he took down another wave of marines with a fierce punch.
The air crackled with energy, and you could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on you.
"Y/N, you belong with us now," Chopper insisted, his small hooves gripping your shirt tightly, his eyes wide with sincerity.
Just then, a whisper echoed in your mind, cautioning you against falling for their words. "Don't let his charm fool you," one voice warned, while another taunted, "You're not strong enough to stay."
The conflict within you grew, torn between the loyalty to your friends and the nagging doubts that clouded your thoughts.
As you approached Chopper, you could see the determination in his eyes, but he was still hesitant. "Come on, at least let me lend a hand," you urged, but the little reindeer seemed glued to the spot, his hooves firmly planted.
You decided to kneel down, bringing yourself to his level. "I promise I won't bolt. Just trust me," you reassured him, hoping to ease his worries.
After a moment of silence, Chopper finally relented. "Alright," he replied, releasing his grip on you. A wave of relief washed over you as you felt the tension dissipate.
"That's the spirit! Now, let's go assist your captain," you said, gently stroking his soft fur.
The bond between you two felt stronger in that moment, and you could see the spark of courage igniting in Chopper's eyes.
With a determined nod, Chopper took off, sprinting toward the chaos of the battlefield. You followed closely behind, adrenaline coursing through your veins.
"Stay close, Chopper! We need to stick together!" you called out, your heart racing as you prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
You had never intended to surrender yourself to your boss. The thought of being a mere pawn in his game had worn you down, and you were tired of being at his beck and call.
Yet, the idea of remaining with the Strawhat Pirates didnât sit well with you either. They were a lively bunch, full of adventure and camaraderie, but you felt a growing urge to carve your own path.
Perhaps, if you played your cards right, you could convince them to drop you off at the next island after you dealt with your boss once and for all.
As you stood on the deck, the air thick with tension, you raised your voice, calling out the names of ancient deities. "Kali! Anubis! Ah Puch!"
The words echoed around you, and a swirling black smoke erupted from your being, coiling and twisting as it sped toward your boss's fleet. The dark mist seemed to have a life of its own, eager to fulfill your command.
You could almost feel the anticipation in the air, a palpable energy that crackled as the smoke enveloped the ships, seeking out the souls of those aboard.
The chaos that followed was almost surreal. One by one, the screams of the marines pierced the night, a haunting symphony of terror as their very essence was torn from them.
You watched, detached, as the souls were dragged from their bodies, leaving behind lifeless shells. "Not worthy," you muttered under your breath, dismissing the fallen warriors.
They had fought bravely, but their spirits were not what you sought. With a flick of your wrist, you turned your back on the carnage, allowing the remnants of their lives to fade into the void.
In just twenty minutes, the ship was a graveyard, the only survivors being your boss and his assistant, a fact you had anticipated.
As the chaos of battle raged around them, you made the strategic choice to concentrate on the remaining marines aboard the Strawhat pirate's ship.
The air was thick with tension, the sounds of clashing steel and shouts echoing across the deck.
You could see the marines, their faces set in determination, trying to hold their ground against the relentless onslaught of the Strawhat crew.
With every swing of a sword and every blast of a cannon, the stakes grew higher, and you knew that this was a pivotal moment in the fight.
"Stay sharp, men!" one of the marines shouted, his voice barely rising above the din. He swung his sword at a nearby Strawhat member, who deftly dodged and countered with a swift kick that sent the marine sprawling.
You could see the fear in the eyes of some of the younger recruits, their resolve wavering as they faced the infamous pirates.
"We can't let them take the ship! Hold the line!" The urgency in his voice was palpable, and you felt a surge of adrenaline as you prepared to join the fray, knowing that every moment counted.
As you leaped into the fray, you exchanged blows with a burly marine, their muscles straining as they tried to overpower you. "You think you can take us down?" he grunted, sweat dripping from his brow.
"Weâre trained for this!" You smirked, dodging his attack and delivering a swift jab to his side.
"Training only gets you so far," you replied, your heart racing with the thrill of combat.
The fight was far from over, and with each clash of weapons, you felt the tide of battle shifting, the Strawhat crew rallying around you as you fought to secure victory.
As you scanned your surroundings, a sudden splash of water hit you, sending a wave of weakness coursing through your body. Instinctively, you turned to confront the marine responsible for the attack, summoning every ounce of strength you had left.
With a swift motion, you managed to overpower him, but the effort left you feeling unsteady on your feet.
Just as you began to wobble, a familiar figure rushed to your side, steadying you with a firm grip. It was Chopper, transformed into his heavy point form, his eyes filled with concern.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" he asked, his voice laced with worry as he looked you over for any signs of injury.
You could see the genuine care in his expression, and it brought you a small measure of comfort amidst the chaos.
"Yeah," you muttered, trying to shake off the lingering dizziness. But the moment was fleeting as the reality of the situation crashed back down on you.
"Luffy is on the enemy ship with Zoro to defeat your boss," Chopper continued, his tone serious yet encouraging.
Panic surged through you at the thought of them facing such danger. "What! They can't! They won't win!" you exclaimed, your voice rising in desperation.
You knew your boss all too well; he was ruthless and powerful, and the thought of Luffy and Zoro confronting him sent chills down your spine.
Chopper placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder, his expression unwavering.
"You have to trust in Luffy and Zoro. They've accomplished the impossible before. Now, let's get you to safety," he urged, his determination shining through as he began to lead you back into the ship.
"Now, I need to go help them-"
"You've already done enough, now take a small rest please?" Chopper plead, placing you onto your bed.
You looked into his soft, pleading eyes and you sighed, "Okay just a little break and then I'm going to help them,"
"That's all I ask for," Chopper agreed before running out of the room to help the rest of Strawhats Pirates with the battle. . . . .
â. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. ââ. *. â
As you slowly opened your eyes, the first thing that caught your attention was Luffy's beaming face hovering just inches away from yours.
His infectious smile was so bright that it almost made you forget the chaos that had unfolded before you drifted off to sleep.
You blinked a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of slumber, and then the memories came rushing backâyour boss's ominous threats and the danger that loomed over you.
"How are you even alive?" you exclaimed, shooting up into a sitting position, your heart racing with disbelief. Luffy, seemingly unfazed, tilted his head in confusion.
"Huh?" he replied, his expression a mix of innocence and curiosity. You took a deep breath, trying to steady your nerves.
"You went to my boss! Anyone who crosses him doesn't come back," you explained, your voice laced with urgency.
Luffy shrugged nonchalantly, picking at his nose as if the conversation were about the weather. "He was really weak," he said, dismissing the gravity of the situation with a casual wave of his hand.
"Really?" you asked, incredulous.
Luffy's grin widened, but then his expression shifted to something more serious.
"Really!" he insisted, but the lightheartedness faded as he continued, "He told me to tell you something before⌠you know."
Your stomach dropped at the implication. "What is it?" you pressed, anxiety creeping into your voice.
Luffy leaned closer, his tone dropping to a whisper. "He said this is your biggest mistake, and the souls will turn against you since you're weak."
A chill ran down your spine at his words, the echo of your boss's threats ringing in your ears.
You knew all too well that those words were not just idle chatter; they were a warning, and the weight of it settled heavily on your shoulders.
"Do you know what it means?" Luffy leaned closer in curiosity as you thought about every single word in that sentence.
Boss's words were always riddled in some way even to his death, he thought of a threat, a riddle for you to think about for days. But he is gone now. You shouldn't be worried about a body but you should have gotten his soul, it would have been worthy.
"Hey, are you up?" a cheerful voice called out as the door swung open. It was Chopper, bounding into the room with his usual enthusiasm.
Without hesitation, he leaped onto the bed, wrapping his tiny arms around you in a warm embrace. You couldn't help but smile, momentarily forgetting Luffy's curious gaze lingering nearby.
Chopper pulled back slightly, his big eyes filled with concern. "How are you feeling today?" he inquired, his voice laced with genuine care.
You could see the worry etched on his little face, and it made your heart swell. "I'm feeling great, thanks to you, Chopper," you replied, your tone light and reassuring. The warmth of his hug had a way of making everything seem better.
Luffy, still standing at the foot of the bed, tilted his head in confusion. "What about me? Aren't you going to ask how I am?" he chimed in, a playful pout forming on his lips.
You chuckled, shaking your head at his antics. "Of course, Luffy! How could I forget? You're always the life of the party!"
His pout transformed into a wide grin, and he bounced on his feet, clearly pleased with your response. "That's right! Iâm the captain! And captains need to be in top shape too!" he declared, puffing out his chest in mock seriousness.
The room filled with laughter, the sound echoing off the walls and wrapping around you like a warm embrace.
Chopper, still perched on the edge of the bed, looked between you and Luffy, his expression brightening. "So, what are we going to do today? We could go on an adventure, or maybe I should convince Sanji to cook something special for you!"
His enthusiasm was infectious, and you could see the gears turning in Luffy's mind as he thought of all the possibilities.
"Sanji!" Luffy yelled as he ran out of the run, saying something about 'cook meat'.
"Did Luffy tell you what happened?" Chopper asked you seriously.
"About him defeating my boss, yes I did," you answered, still unable to believe that Luffy did that.
"So what are you going to do now since you're free?" Chopper said, looking at you with hopeful eyes.
"Hmm I don't know, maybe I'll go solo-"
"No! Don't leave me!" Chopper cried out, holding onto you with a tight grip and you were shocked by his actions.
