TADC SPOILERS AHEAD

I know its likely that what everyone's saying about Jax is right. Yeah. He does seem desperate to not be found out. But holy shit i really feel like he just IS what he says he is. Maybe he was like that as a human, when it mattered, but maybe as a human he was just faking being decent/caring about people. He was faking all his emotions and then in the circus he realized he can to whatever the hell he wants. And yes, he obviously feels real emotions. But he is probably serious when he says there's nothing more to him. Of course hes probably wrong, but he isnt lying either. He genuinely believes what hes saying. But maybe he really doesnt care about people. There can still be more to him that isnt what people would expect. I think the reason he is so so upset that pomni thinks she can help him or find his true self isnt because hes scared she'll see the real him, but hes just scared and angry because he spent his whole human life pretending he really did have that good person in him because it was necessary. I relate to jax so so much especially with what happened in the new episode and I genuinely feel so seen with the recent twist in the plot with all the things he said. He wasn't begging pomni not to find out who he really is, he was begging for her to stop trying to make him go back to masking the way he did as a human. I fucking loved the new episode and ive never been so passionate about a piece of fiction in my life. It is genuinely a beautiful and very real feeling episode. The voice actors by the way, they all did ASTONISHING work. It was so beautiful the way they could make the emotions feel so real. I look up to tadc with how it perfectly conveys emotion. Pomnis reactions too, absolutely beautiful. The expressions of the characters, beautiful. Ragatha crying genuinely felt more real than even live action movies and shows could do. Kinger comforting ragatha also comforted me (he is my new comfort character btw). Gangle and zooble's interactions were one of my favorite parts of the episode too. Gangle going ape shit with shooting at jax and pomni was EPIC and I love the way it was animated and the perspectives were perfect. Altogether, best episode so far. I relate to all the characters in different ways and I am so so attached to them all.

Anyways, what i was saying before: I felt so seen by jax's crashout scene. I genuinely have never felt emotions like that since I was a small child and I love it. I keep seeing posts about how hes just hiding that he really does care for pomni or that he is really deep down a good person like the characters in eeeevery other piece of media. But seriously, it does make me upset. And its fine, like its not like you can't have your own predictions, and sure it is a good chance that those people are right, but I really, really want jax to just, be what he says he is. The new episode made me so full of rage in an excited way and I love it. Anyways, final thoughts: TADC IS MY NEW FAVORITE SHOW AND IT IS A FUCKING AMAZING PIECE OF MEDIA AND IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT YET YOU NEED TO!!!!!

Akane, I just want to say, Twin Runes means… it means a lot to me. I am no longer able to see Frisk as anything but Nugget, Nor does my subconscious interpret Kris as looking much different from the Twin Runes version at all, even if I try. I have more than once sat there and thought “wow, Akane really knocked it out of the park with that dark world Asgore design”, I love even the basic darkners of your flower shop world (Shoutout to Gorgulent and Mr. Argu my GOATs),

almost every character moment I see in Twin Runes I react with “yeah that’s what they would do. That’s what happened yeah.” Or “oh my god that’s so perfect” And that tells me you have a great understanding of the writing of the games you base this upon

Honestly I’m thinking “oh my god this is so perfect” more often than not when reading Twin Runes

You capture the vibes of UT/DR’s humor so beautifully well, it genuinely impresses me consistently

And even when you’re out of writer mode, just answering asks and whatnot, you seems super charming

Point is, if you did want to make the Akane show, it would top charts. Your silly little mascot sona fellow would be iconic

Actually that’s not the point the point is that U R very cool *flutters big eyelashes at you* your art is very nice your writing is very nice you inspire me and I can’t quite put into words what I love about your work so much but it makes me foam at the mouth/positive

I'm glad that these characters have solidified in your headspace as something positive right next to the canon depictions of them. I'm glad you think my writing and humor captures the "Toby essence" even though it will never be the real thing. Which is just natural.

I'm glad you think I'm funny and charming. I'm glad my work inspires you.

But the truth is, my own insecurities are not the main reason why I think the way I do. The real reason is something very personal. And that doesn't belong on the internet for everyone to see. But the basic point of it is:

I don't want to make people feel lesser with my accomplishments. I don't want to give anyone the feeling that what they do is any lesser than what I'm doing. And that they could never even reach that level. Which is why I don't like to boast about what I can do and have done.

Anyone has the capabilities of doing something great. And I want you to be the best that you can be. And I'm proud of anyone who has gone out there to make something because my work inspires them or it makes them feel good/comforted.

Hey, It looks like they’re flooding the market with goods, probably trying to convince the world that Gaza is fine that food is available and prices have dropped. Like sugar, for example… it used to be 500 shekels per kilo, and overnight it dropped to 50. But the crazy part is, we haven’t even tasted sugar since April we couldn’t afford it in the first place.

It’s like they drained our pockets with insane prices and now suddenly they’re pumping the markets with supplies. The flour that was 100 shekels? Now it's 25. They even dropped the commission rate from 50% to 40%. And guess what? They’re now allowing foreign journalists in to film and show the world a “normal” situation.

But for us average families we’re seeing all these goods in front of us, but we still can’t afford to buy in bulk or store anything. We’re literally living day to day. Still, part of me feels like we need to take advantage of this brief window buy and store whatever we can because I think something bigger is coming.

I wouldn’t be surprised if, within the next 3 months, they evacuate everyone to Rafah and take over all of Gaza. We don’t know… maybe we’ll make it out alive, maybe some of us will get injured. What’s coming feels heavier. InshaAllah, we’ll all make it through safely. We’re holding our ground we’re not leaving unless they force us. I don’t want to repeat what happened the first time they pushed us south and made us feel worthless.

This is an extremely sensitive and dangerous time. Sadly, the only things really helping us survive are donations and prayers.

I think some of the reactions to The Summer Hikaru Died from English speaking fans are very, very telling.

On one hand, you have people blatantly denying its queerness. Which gets harder and harder for them, especially after viewing the second episode.

Then you have the people denying its queerness because "it's not a BL". While I think most of the people saying this are younger or misguided by queerbait-y shows that they've seen, this sentiment still denies queerness as a part of life and a part of fiction. I thought it would be obvious that not all queer stories are romances. But I suppose there are really still people that only see queer people as the romances they have.

But then there's my least favorite type of person, who recognizes that the characters are queer in some way, but deny the fact that queerness (especially Yoshiki's sexuality) is woven into the fabric of the story. If Yoshiki wasn't queer, The Summer Hikaru Died would not be the story it is. Most of its themes would cease to exist.

The amount of people I've seen say that: "The Summer Hikaru Died may have a gay character, but it's not impactful to the plot. The story is about grief, not LGBT stuff" -- is horrifyingly sad. And the fact that so, so many people still racistly think that being queer is a western invention is even sadder.

I've seen people say that "oh, of course the author didn't mean for this to be about sexuality; they're Japanese!" is gross. Especially when Mokumokuren themself has described The Summer Hikaru Died as a "queer story".

Anyway, I'm annoyed with people, as per usual. I love that more and more people are getting into this story, but it truly makes me upset to see people try to take an explicitly queer story and water it down.
