just a friendly reminder that dean winchester finds himself so personally worthless and undeserving that he couldn’t even accept that angels and heaven were real cause that just means his fears would be true

let’s take it a step further and remind you that even after being shown the proof of angels and heaven, he still refused to believe a god existed

imagine what it felt like for him.. to learn that he DID have a point of existence after ALL this time only to find out that his parents were pawns (the whole cupid thing so the boys were born), his baby brother, who he basically fathered himself, was doomed from the start, and his life, and everyone in it, was purposefully ruined so that his meaning, that he so desperately craved, could be fulfilled.. only to not even say yes to michael

his entire purpose to be born, deemed on him by higher beings, really was worthless in the end and it guts me that you could never convince him otherwise

yaknow, the more i think of it..

i used to hate how the game killed joel and how much it hurt. it felt meaningless and empty without him. but the lack of the show triggering those emotions in me really makes me appreciate the brutality in the game more

i’m gonna be honest here; i don’t know if i can keep watching this show. not that i hated the way the second episode was done; no. but i felt physically sick during joel’s death scene, i had to turn it off. i have been numb since i saw it and maybe i’m reaching and overreacting but there was literally no need to make the scene ten times more graphic than in the game. stay faithful, of course. but there was no fucking need to make that shit this graphic.

maybe it’s my own appreciation for gore and whump, but i actually really appreciated the way this scene destroyed me. what was hardest is being left a shell of a viewer after that scene to only be met with how lightly everyone seems to be taking his death, especially ellie

i remember playing the game and being so heartbroken that i couldn’t play it but once i started, i couldn’t stop. and i was SO excited to see bella ramsey portray ellie’s grief and to see her tear seattle (and her life lol) apart

also, does anyone else remember the reason that was given for why the david scene was different and more isolated? it was specifically to show how violent ellie can be and to introduce her and the viewers into this darker side of hers
