vision has a new meaning for you; though you cannot see, and have no physical ability of sight, you have a view into the world unlike any other. your whole life, you’ve felt this way, noticing things in the astral plane, and having the ability to have sight deep into the others, and the world around you. you’ve never been able to explain it, the way the crashing waves on a beach tell you things, the way the bark of a tree shows you it’s full long life with the touch of your fingers. you are blind, yet you see… so salem has been calling to you, and now, you finally answer.

ECLIPSE: you both know how to disappear, and you both know the magic of a simple con. now, you both find yourself in the same strange situation of powers never asked for, powers that scare you. why has your mirror image been such a figment of smoke your whole life, only to appear now with shattered pieces like a crushed glass? 

MILKY WAY: though home has never been a concept to you, a ghost always on the move, it never really bothered you. the excitement that constant change would bring excited you, yet they find it sad. is their pity deserved? you think not. sometimes you wish they would simply leave you alone instead of quizzing you on your past.

PLASMA: if you envy anyone, it would be them. an electrifying power, something so free flowing, and the ability to see beyond the stars... it is what dreams are made of, even if they seem so tortured by it. you offer to share the burden, be their rock whenever it all becomes too much, and when they hesitate... it stings.

PEGASUS: their life is reminiscent of a cage, and that is the thought that haunts your dreams at night. everything they endured stands for all the things you hate in the world, and you fear them. it doesn’t make sense, and you don’t understand it, but you withdraw and hide from their gaze far too often. this sort of power they have over you; what does it mean?

pegasus seems to be a very unique and interesting character! could you tell me a little bit more about them?

i’m so glad to hear! they are one of my favorites, too. so pegasus is from some sort of cult that practiced witchcraft; it would seem on the outside, pegasus does not feel any bitterness towards her history, but instead is quite fond of her ‘old home’ and family. it’s really up to the player where this cult was, how it operated, and what happened... but as far as going deeper into pegasus, let’s see! under the cut, you can hear me ramble a bit about the character.

so of course, these are just all my own ideas, and do not have to be followed if you have a better idea 

pegasus is insecure in her abilities, maybe even to the point of being unsure if she has them. sure, she grew up doing magic and witchcraft, but that within the safety of a cult; and now, maybe she is struggling to believe if she ever was successful, or not. was it all an elaborate lie? 

something obviously happened to make pegasus leave her cult. or maybe, something happened to the cult itself; either way, she is a bit sad to be away from all she knows.

this is also a fairly sheltered character, at least when it comes to technology and a lot of standard practices in society. there isn’t much to be said about the cult itself except it worshipped goddesses and took magic very seriously; probably to a more extreme degree than anyone else has experienced within the group.

does this give pegasus an advantage? maybe! she is very knowledgeable about magic, herbs, spells, worship, charms, and hexes. in her traits and faceclaim suggestions, i tried to paint the picture of someone smart and capable but also quite odd and different from the world, maybe shut off in a way that fancies idealism and whimsy than hard reality.

RETROGRADE: it’s not pity or fear you feel for them, but something twisted between. you are the picture perfect image of what the media expects you to be, and they are the force that threatens that mold. unlike you in so many ways, yet trapped in this sense of stale living. magic is your ticket, and theirs, too. the bad type is a dangerous taste you are not yet accustomed to, but you want to be.

OPHIUCHUS: their biggest criticism for you is that you are just like everyone else... but you know how good you are at being exactly that. it pays your bills, this online image of your life, and they lurk in shadows and mystery. it’s fascinating and alluring, a hint of darkness on your perfect vision of your world. are they the dusk, or the dawn?

SUN: what a strange, strange witch; but aren’t you, too? so intent on appearances, while she is a raging wildfire, all burst of color and life and no organization to the chaos. you could never live like that; be like that, too trapped in your bubble of self-awareness. you exist in the eyes of others, and you shy away from her, too afraid to be singed around the edges.

NEPTUNE: like you, she wasn’t around for the chaos of the hunters; and so, you feel connected to her beyond the sired bond. she gave you magic, and you both find yourself just slightly on the outside of things. her pain runs deep, same as yours, but she is a bleeding heart. yours is a solid rock, and despite the love you have for her, you feel she is far too breakable to be someone to truly trust.

RETROGRADE: if there is anything in the world they need, it’s hope, and you are overflowing with it. optimism fuels you while darkness empowers them. no one expected the two of you to take to the other like a moth to the flame, yet you find yourself in mutual admiration of the other and their strengths. as unlikely allies, you find you are stronger together.

PEGASUS: most of all, you want people to be happy, and as an empath, you can feel her pain. she didn’t beg for magic as you had, but instead was thrust into it and fits the world beautifully. maybe, somehow, you can fix the broken pieces of her, or at least help curb the jarred edges and bring reality back home for her. you forget not everyone can be your project. 

CIRCINUS: protected is how you were raised, eyes wide to the big world laying in wait for you; but their eyes have never seen the vast nothingness of the universe. to you, this seems almost like a gift. no harsh reality to face, and you’ve never truly known darkness, so you don’t understand when they speak of the loneliness they feel for the world. the disconnect is real, but you wish it wasn’t, because they seem wise beyond their years, much like yourself.

they said cult, but you said home; it was the life you knew, so it was all you had. you grew up on whimsy and fantasy, worshiping goddesses and practicing witchcraft long before you knew it was considered obsolete. your heart is made of fairy dust and daydreams, but they protected you, and you learned from a young age how to bless the creek water and dance bare in the moonlight, so salem feels quite like home. now, you have found a new safe haven, but you sometimes worry the magic you have is something closer to fraud.

HOROSCOPE: when it comes to magic and the allure of the supernatural, you are the group expert; and they want to share the title with you. growing up, you had no sort of formal education in your cult, so their intelligence and way with math, science, and computers is foreign to you. maybe if you help them, they’ll do the same; you each have a whole world to show the other. 

ASTEROID: the way they shrink away from you, like you are flame and they are gasoline, has you baffled. no one in your life has looked at you before in fear until them, but it’s a change of pace from the pity or misunderstanding you usually face. their life is all about a new start, but you miss the repetition and the close-knit society from which you came. will they ever understand your differences, or always run away?

MILKY WAY: they say you were hurt, and wrong, they say they feel the pain you feel. maybe they are right, but you don’t agree with them that you are a tragedy. i’ll fix you, they promise, and you shake your head no. you are not broken. you are not ripped. you are a masterpiece, but why can’t they realize this for their own? maybe you will simply have to prove to them your worth.
