I just hope they don't make Ben wear a wig, and that the costumes, story and performances are decent.

Just saw this on Twitter and this not only makes me SUPER excited but it also gives me two thoughts:

1. It’s gonna be its own story / timeline separate from what we know, similar to what they did with the Mario movie.

2. Idk why but they may be heading in the direction of Ocarina of Time… I have no real reasoning for this other than a hunch.

Anyway this movie is gonna be amazing, I can already tell.

I think clone wars dark side anakin is my favorite dark side anakin. because yeah, in the movies, you can tell he's gonna fall. maybe not in the phantom menace, but in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith, it's so obvious! everything about him just oozes both light and dark, the dark steadily winning. but clone wars anakin? clone wars anakin? oh, he's a sun. he's blindingly bright and he's happy. we can go full episodes without a trace of the dark side showing up on his face or in his actions, which makes when he does go dark even more jarring. when he snaps and attacks and the imperial march plays faintly in the background, when not even ten minutes earlier in the episode he was joking around with ahsoka. that is peak dark side anakin to me, because that is what i imagine anakin truly was. happy and fun and then snapping, terrifying. it's why no one believed it when he fell. why obi-wan and padme and ahsoka didn't see it coming.

HUNTR/X outfits

I love the attention to detail in the outfits for Golden and What It Sounds Like.

The outfits are a representation of what they are feeling. For example:

When Golden is first released Rumi has the most black on her outfit. It’s a physical representation of the shame she has. Zoey and Mira have less shame than Rumi, therefore less black.

But…

As the movie continues the more shame everyone starts to have. HUNTR/X is being torn apart and we see how that is affecting each of them through the amount of black in their clothing.

But that all changes at the end.

When Rumi, Zoey and Mira finally accept their faults and let go of their shame they didn’t have any black clothing, despite wearing it moments ago.

And that also explains why the Demons always wear black. Just like Jinu said, all they feel is their shame.

side note about kpop demon hunters:

I love that the girls still got to be feminine! especially mira! maybe it’s the media I grew up with, but so often the masculine and aggressive characters were not wearing skirts, had short hair, rejected makeup/“girly things”, etc.

these character designs tho, the blend the sporty badass fashion with glitter, bows, skirts, and even long hair/feminine styles! (mira has bows in her hair in one scene!)

yes they’re idols they have to be fashionable, but they got to be cute and kick ass in the same outfits! not to mention the MANY costume changes and the excellent comfort wear styles too!

idk bro I just appreciate the fashion design so so much

Honestly, the use of Takedown in the movie makes me just a little insane. In the context of the story it was a song they were writing to spit hate at the boys and expose them for what they really are. But then that song is redirect against Rumi. It's no wonder she became hesitant with the lyrics, she knew that the song could just as easily be about her, and in the end her worst fears were realized.

Mira's my favorite. She's the visual and lead dancer of HUNTR/X. Nobody can move like Mira. Apparently she's the black sheep of her family. I don't know why because she's sooo cool. Who else could wear a sleeping bag to the Met Gala?

Hi! Hope you're doing well. I've been meaning to ask you - what do you think of Kix's storyline as the Last Clone?

I think it's really cool!! I remember when I first learned about that storyline years ago and absolutely freaked out about it haha. Someday when I continue Esprit de corps (which will eventually be updated lol sorry), I hope to bring his storyline into play! I really wish we had more canon content for what goes down with him. I'm a BIG fan of pirate stories. There's so much potential for a pirate clone among the Crimson Corsair. Maybe at some point in the future we'll get more!
