HAHA NO!!! 😭 as much as i adore todd ingram in all his cocky asshole bassist glory, mike is gaudy but in a MUCH less pretentious way. he’s a hardheaded golden boy that has more of a “guy everyone asks to pair up with” energy, than todd’s “pair up with me bc i’m awesome lol” energy. both of which i love but! short answer, nope! mike’s influences are more in line with takeda harumi from my senpai is annoying & sousuke shima from skip and loafer 💙

non illustration specific post bc i might have some luck getting info from people on here, but what are some tattoo artists’ advice for someone who has an interest in illustration, and wants to prepare for an apprenticeship ahead of time? should my approach be more educative? (i.e: setting the stage with terminology, read up on the tattoo manual ahead of time before i shoot for my license, create folders (like im doing already) with inspiration on existent inkers who are closest to what i want to specialize in style wise?). or do you suggest i wait for the apprenticeship to give me the run down so i avoid any misconceptions? i’m super new to inking like this, and i’ve really fallen in love with the medium— but i have zero practical experience outside of my foundational knowledge as a digital artist/illustrator.

any advice would be hella awesome 🩶
