UX Timeline
http://uxtimeline.com/ An interesting resource for looking at how web design and tech services more broadly have evolved over the past two decades for some of the products we use all the time. This website itself is not gorgeous or anything, but it does make it easier to look through the iterations of other platforms. Remember when Netflix only rented out DVDs?! #userexperience #UX #UI

Event Website Example
In the search for cool navigations and schedules on event websites, I found this website for a festival in Canada that is beautifully done. It's more playful than we'd need for Reunion or another event, but it combines illustration and bright colors with parallax to make a very cool effect. Notice how the top menu merely adds a different color scheme once triggered by scrolling downward, and it becomes instantly more prominent and visible. http://ift.tt/2aWRYGy

I enjoyed this overview of SF's BART train system social media during an outage this week, when the account responded honestly and explained the problems clearly to those who replied. It's a refreshing approach. - Anupam

I'm irrationally excited to share this and dream up applications of this "gooey" effect that helps elements and shapes sort of ooze into one another or stick to each other using a clever mix of blurs and contrasts. The CSS demos provided are interesting, and dragging around elements in Photoshop to see them in this lava lamp effect is really interesting. Can think of a lot of potential applications, from menus to infographics. - Anupam

Article design - scrolling and effects
Hi Team, Really loving the design of this web article. The scrolling effects and photo changes look super awesome, and really make you want to keep reading/scrolling. I would love to be able to put together something like this for the alumni site in the future. Just wanted to get it on everyone's radar. http://www.popsugar.com/fashion/Olivia-Palermo-Fashion-Interview-2016-40418246 Best, Na'Tasha Jones | Alumni Communications Sr. Writer/Editor Office of Advancement | Georgetown University 2115 Wisconsin Avenue NW | Suite 500 | Washington, DC 20007 (o) 202-687-*8074* | (f) 202-687-5727 alumni.georgetown.edu FOR GENERATIONS TO COME Learn more about The Campaign for Georgetown Visit us: http://campaign.georgetown.edu

Greetings from Spain! A small change on the iOS (and soon to be android) content viewing & publishing experience that is worth keeping an eye on, especially as Washington Post and Slate among others have already hopped onto. IPhone users may notice the small lightning icon on certain posts in their newsfeed which enables articles to load instantaneously & seamlessly within the native Facebook app (a reboot of "Paper"). Curious where this will lead! See you Monday, Anupam
