Seren-56 Masterpost

i’m posting my info on my Titan, Seren-56, in a huge post, as I come up with ideas and flesh him out, this post will get updated eventually too.  For now, here’s everything I have on him.

Seren-56: Born: 2350 - Death: 2400 Became an Exo within his first 25 years, so second Birth: 2375 Reawakened by Naekimi, his next rebirth: 2402 Seren-56 was an Exo security Guard who was stationed within an agriculture facility ( a sister vault to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault), focused on preservation and research during the Golden Age. During the Collapse, the facility went into a frenzy and was promptly destroyed and left to rot. During the chaos, Seren's internal drives were knocked out of place, and he shut down, going unconscious for a while. His Ghost, Naekimi, was quick to find him, having been birthed from the Traveler during the first moments of it's dying breath. She found him, and quickly repaired him, reawakening his body. He was thankful to his Little Light, however; During her travels, she attracted quite a few small armies of Fallen. Quick to react, Seren drew his pistol and immediately got to fighting for his second life. After the scuffle, their next priority was a ship. However, everything was already in disrepair and stripped by the Fallen. Disheartened, the pair now set off on food towards the Traveler, which would takes decades of travel. Their journey would've taken less time, but the constant amount of hiding and fighting they had to do set them back a fair amount of distance. During this time, Seren learnt more about who, what he is. His new found abilities and what he would eventually be known as a 'Titan'. It was also during this, he suffered many Resets. This was seen as normal for Seren, as he didn't quite understand what was happening. By the time he reached the City to join the other Titans, he had experienced at least 20 Resets. Naekimi was among the first few Ghosts to be born during the Traveler's last breath. She would be considered slightly 'slow' for a Ghost, in the sense that she would usually drift into thought or get distracted by something vaguely interesting. Due to being one of the first few born, she has to defrag a lot more than a usual Ghost, as she prefers to retain most of her memories for Seren's sake. Other Ghosts with Exo Guardians the pair have met are under the same amount of stress, but they view this as a worthy sacrifice in order to keep their Guardian going. Seren feels an immense amount of guilt from this, considering the large amounts of 'Resets' he has suffered from.   Seren makes sure to make it up to Naekimi as often as he can, since in their olden age, the pair are clearly suffering from being alive for so long. Seren's memory of the past is extremely blurred and fuzzy, he remembers leaving his rebirth place as the most fondest of his early memories however. He has briefly mentioned the Deep Stone Crypt to Naekimi, and the pair have gone on a search for the Crypt.   Their expeditions have mainly led to Golden-Age ruins and hordes of Fallen or Hive. But never the answers Seren searches for. In recent times the Crypt has become a background thought for Seren, and has once planned an expedition with Zulaak to surge for the Crypt. and a brief question I asked myself to try to give some context to my character’s relationship. Q: How did Seren and Zulaak meet? - It started off in a casual one-off meeting. First at the Tower, they'd both transmatted in at near the same time. Whilst the pair were conversing and generally idling waiting for Weapon modifications, repairs, or just their next general assignment from their respective leaders, their Ghosts grew closer and Kaine(*) took pity on Naekimi's constant defragging to upkeep Seren's memories. Kaine helped convince Zulaak that Seren was an old soul who needed a watchful eye. Zulaak respectfully disagreed, saying if Seren made it this far with minor afflictions or damages, he needn't be one of them. However; Shortly after this, Seren suffered multiple resets in quick succession. In a similar fashion that would be considered a ‘seizure’(**). Raising the number from 47 to 52. Zulaak realised that, seeing the amount of stress it put on both Naekimi, Seren and those around them. Zulaak made a promise to help upkeep Seren's memories and help him along when needed. The pair became a partnership. And worked together on many incursions, Strikes, and general Relic-dives issued by the Vanguard. Seren's resets slowed down drastically, and the pair managed to keep up a fruitful partnership for many years. The main progressive events of the D1 storyline occurred; The Taken arrived, Oryx was defeated, and for a while, things were quiet. The pair grew closer as a result, and shortly before the events of D2, had fallen for each other. Over their many years of relic-diving, they set up a 'forward base' within a rocky Martian cave, which quickly turnt into a makeshift home. *note; ‘Kaine’ is a placeholder name for Zulaak’s Ghost until I find a better name, if one doesn’t tickle my fancy his name shall remain as Kaine. **note; this is simply my own headcanon and is in no means accurate to the idea of Exo biology. I picture this as a seizure as his systems become overloaded and quickly reboot multiple times to fix whatever issue is going on within Seren’s systems. And that’s everything I have so far on Seren. Which, for me is strange since he’s my secondary character, Zulaak being my main. So you’d imagine Zulaak would be incredibly more fleshed out than Seren. However, a Zulaak masterpost is being planned and worked on. I want to flesh him out properly since he’s my most beloved character next to Seren. Soon I’ll sort something out for my Hunter, if by the time I come up with something she won’t be deleted or something ahahahahahaaaannngngnnn
