I would die for him
879 posts
My name is Dean Winchester. I am 22 years old. My Dad and I we are living on the road, 'cause we are hunters - And as it says, we hunt things and kill monsters. That's the family business.I have a brother, Sam, but...He's no longer part of this familly. He has his own life and hopefully, finding happiness in Stanford ((AU Young-Dean Winchester in his early twenty's, I own nothing.))

Dean hadn't pushed any further, but he had turned the radio on, knowing way too good that silence didn't helped in moments like this. He thought about what happened and how this could happen but something told him that it was his fault...
He had brought Sammy back... He had to keep him close, had to watch out that nothing happens and he had let this happen...
Let Sammy's love die...
The boy was sleeping, Dean could tell, and Dean focused on the road as much as he could, he trid to call John once again, silently left him a voicemail, telling him how much he needed him, before he hung up and drove them to the place their dad had told them to go to.
The Fire that Consumes
Sam didn’t acknowledge Dean after that, just stared out the window as he tried to forget the smell, the heat…the sight of Jessica burning. She’d deserved more, something different from her life, not this pile of crap Sam dumped on her doorstep.   He’d made her miserable since the day they met, her crush on him, then hiding it -Sam could always tell she still wanted him- and putting herself second to all of his problems, only to die for him… She should have been better off never meeting him. He was cursed or something, and people just die or get hurt around him. No, Sam wouldn’t make the same mistake again.
Somewhere amidst all the self-loathing, guilt trips and memories of Jess, did he fall asleep, forehead pressed to the window, but his dreams were filled with fire.

Dean didn't believed that, he knew better than that... --His Mom never had done a single thing and one had take away everything from her. His father... Had gained happiness for how long? Seven years? And ended up a huge jerk..
He prefered never being happy but beingDeanthan losing himself like he did when he lost Sammy...
A deep sigh left his lips and he closed his eyes, feeling safe for once after such a long time in the other's arms.
Silently listening to the other's words, a soft chuckle left his lips when he nodded and looked up to the other one. "I told you he'd see how perfect you are, haven't I?" - He remembered the time when that Dean had broke Jackson's heart and when he had promised him that everything would be alright again. "Are you both...You know, dating or is it only from your side?"
The next news made him chuckle and he nodded, took the man's hand in his and nuzzled a little closer. "I'm glad to hear that you and...Sam are dealing fine, and..I'd love to see that new scar, too. But there's nothing exciting in my life... Dad cought Sam and me, we found out that he was planing on leaving for Stanford, he left, I stayed with my Dad... - We went on hunts and I have new scares, too - And that's it..."
Dean missed those days… Missed everything about it because…Those were happy times. Times when he had his family together, when he had Jackson, when he had a brother…
Everything had changed and…He had lost everything he once had. A soft sigh left his lips when he felt those familiar lips on his temple before he closed his eyes and leaned closer against him, nodding softly. “I’m so glad to know that you managed to get happy, man…” - He really was.
Jackson deserved this after everything that happened to him…
“Tell me how it’s going… ” - The stories Jackson would have to tell were definitely better than those Dean had.

Dean didn't know what he was supposed to say, he never did... He wasn't as good as dealing with those kind of things as John was. He would probably tell them to get their shits togethr and focus on their job.
Find that sonofabitch that did this to their family and end him and.. --That was the only thing Dean cared about.
Maybe the hints John had written in the journal would guide them to the yellow-eyes? Maybe John had faced him but hadn't manage to survive..? "We do.", he said with a ice cold voice, giving more gas and driving them out of the town as fast as he could.
The Fire that Consumes
Dean slowly laid an arm around his brother and helped him walk over to the car. He could see how broken and weak he was right now and it hurt him to see him like that. A soft sigh left his lips when he had managed to get Sam in the car and walked to his own place, too, looking at Sam for a moment before he sighed again and turned the radio on mute before starting the car.
“I’ll drive us far, far away from here…”; he promised and looked down at the wheel for a moment, before looking over to Sam.
“I’ll make sure you stay at a safe place.. —With me, Sam.”

Dean had missed Jackson so much…It was incredible how long he had been without the man now…Remembering how he put a stop to theirrelationship-a-like-thing when he and Sam got… —Those days were over…
A sigh soft left his lips and he nuzzled against the other one, for once after such a long time feeling comfortable to have someone next to him.
He had been  throwing himself from one fling to the other, had filled his free time with meaningless fucks to forget Sam and to forget his friend Jackson…But here they were…
A soft sigh left his lips before he nodded once again and smiled. “An apple pie.”, he told the waitress, his own hand resetting on the man’s thigh and a soft smile still on his lips. “I miss the old times, man…”

Dean knew who’s fault this was: His own. He had dragged Sam away from here — Guided that damn yellow eyes here and let him hurt his brother like this, let him hurt the smurf-fangirl.
A deep sigh left his lips, his finger stil in the hair of his brother while he held him and nodded. He felt horrible sorry, but there was nothing he could say or do, so he just sat there, held Sam close and let him feel that he wasn’t alone…
For a long time they sat there like this before Dean whispered: “Let’s go away from here Sam… —We gotta leave…”

Dean closed his eyes, his head pouting before he let himself fall down on his knees in front of his brother, pulling him into his embrace to hold him in his arms. There was nothing they could do anymore...Nothing they had left.. --Dad was gone...That was Dean's part of the story - And now...Jess died in front of their eyes, burned on the ceiling, burned the whole house down...

“No! No! Jess!” Sam screamed, trying to break free from Dean’s grasp, but despite the fact that his big brother was shorter, he couldn’t get out of his tight grip and he let himself be manhandled into the grass. Silent tears ran down his face, and he gasped for air, the wet strands of green doing nothing to get him accustomed to the new surroundings. He could still see her, smell her…Burning on that ceiling. That was on him. The demon came because of him. It had to be.
For two years, she had stood by his side, given him everything he wanted and expecting so little in return. He’d lost his family, his life, his dignity, and she just picked him up off the floor and offered him an entirely new life. Without Jess, he had nothing left. Not even Dean, who’d probably leave again… “No.”

Call it intuition, love or whatever you wanted, but Dean couldn't drive away, he couldn't leave! Something was holding him here, so he quickly turned the road and drove back to Sam's house where he saw the smoke and his heart skipped a beat - more than just one beat but that didn't matter right now.
He quickly jumped out of the car and run into the building, upstairs to the bedroom from where the smoke was coming before he already saw Sam on the bed, his hands trying to reach something on the ceiling -- Flashback...
Dean was young, too young for this shit, but he heard John's voice, heard his mother's cry and run upstairs. "Take him out of here, Son! Make sure he's safe! Don't turn around.", John said and Dean didn't turned out, he grabbed Sam and run -- And he did the same now.
He grabbed the boy by his shoulders, pulled him with himself out of the building and pushed him on the grasses to let him the room he probably needed and looked back at the house. He was tempted to run back but a voice in his head was yelling at him to not turn around, to not go inside--There was nothing left to safe...
The Fire that Consumes
She had baked all day and then she’d spent hours texting Sam. He was bringing home her ring and Jessica was excited. They would get married and be happy. Sam was gay but she was determined to make him love her back and not in the best friends way. She never knew what was waiting for her. She had told Sam she had to go to bed. It was true. She didn’t know her dreams would be interrupted by a man standing by her bed. She couldn’t scream. She couldn’t breathe. It hurt too much.

Of course Dean didn't answered Sam's question, if he would have wanted to say what happened, he would have said it already, and when Sam thank god finally agreed on shutting up, Dean nodded and turned the radio on, listening to AC/DC as usually, and driving them back to Sam's home.
The rest of the time Dean remained quite, he didn't say anything until he stopped the car in front of the boy's house and sighed. "I'll inform you when I find him."--As if Sam cared anyways.
"Make sure you watch out for yourself, yeah?" He smiled at Sam for a momet, it wasn't a real one, but...It was all he could give the other one right now, before he drove away again, drivint to the place his father had hinted him to.
When the morning light comes
Dean shook his head, a chuckle leaving his lips. It wasn’t real, it was filled with pain and just a weak try to overcome his own problems, his fears and the pain he had to suffer through.
He bit down on his lower lip, tried to ignore the words that Sam didn’t want to leave without him, his fingers tightening around the wheel and his knuckles showing them self white.
“He never wanted anything but you to behave…I wasn’t more than your Babysitter, Sam..It was always you, and when you left… —Nevermind…”
It wasn’t important anymore, nothing was. Sam would have a better life, a life he deserved so much… “I do not wish to talk with you about those things, Sam… — So can you please just keep silent for the next hours…And let me drive?”
