Godzilla vs. Kong: Best: ocean brawl, loved the whole thing start to finish / Jia going out into the rain, cuz it's just really well put together / the utterly trippy visuals of Hollow Earth's continent times 2 / the part of GvK where they started working together to fight the murder mech / Kong YEETING A TREE cuz it just really set up for the rest of the movie for me

Worst: probably how defeating frikken MechaG came down to spilled alcohol, realistic I grant you but still, bleh

So Trolls World Tour was fun. And I really like the "different tribes with different music" path it took the plot.

So this is my OC Shoal, she's a Chiptune troll and the younger sister to their tribe's first official leader; Princess Pebble. The Chiptune trolls have been around for quite a long while actually, but it's only recently that they requested permission to distance themselves from the Techno tribe proper. They moved quite a bit away from Techno reef, with all sorts of shenanigans happening as they settle in. The rest of the Techno tribe worries about them a lot.

I really like her! Shoal was actually supposed to just be my example drawing of how Chiptune and Techno trolls differ physically, but I got attached to her lol.

Random details that came to me as I was drawing this are under the cut. Please note that a) I’m definitely not an expert on any subject and b) I’m still working on my concept :V

-Chiptune trolls are very big on games, like seriously big. If they can go about something in a playful manner, they absolutely will. Many think them to be very childish because of this.

-Their general dress sense is very kidcore, mainly because I think it goes nicely with how most Chip music uses video game consoles. their natural coloring is very pastel like, so they like additional bright colors.

-They don't talk out loud much. They can, but they believe strongly in letting one's actions and music speak for them (this is a nod to how Chiptune music doesn't usually have accompanying lyrics). Do not challenge one to charades. You will lose and it will be embarrassing.

-Their technology level is probably in the 80s range, the height of the genre's popularity from what I've seen.

-Pebble is only a Princess because the tribe is still under Techno rule.

-They've set up their home in a coral reef right next to a beach, very far from the deep waters of Techno reef. This was admittedly done mainly to dissuade having Techno trolls showing up too often.

-King Trolled has a huge and obvious crush on one Princess Pebble, who's utterly oblivious to this and just thinks that the King's attempt to cozy up is a ploy to get the Chiptune trolls back to Techno reef. Shoal has been trying to play matchmaker for a while now.

So Epithet Erased is a fun thing I stumbled upon while bored out of my skull on youtube. So fuck it, oc fun times ahoy.

So meet Delancey “Dee” Cay, local menace too sneaky to have gotten arrested of Sweet Jazz City for well over a decade now. She’s a needlessly mean, spiteful piece of work that many believe to be just as “rotten” as her epithet implies, and has long since given up on trying to prove herself better.

She’s friends with Giovanni (though he insists on calling her a criminal ally), mainly because he bribes her with hot soup. Her words.

So I was initially gonna draw this for erasermic week, but i kinda missed my opening (I have, hang ups about drawing fanart with explicit permission, and I asked really late and got a similarly late response). I was saddened for a bit when I suddenly remembered: I don't need an event to draw fanart. I can just fucking draw whenever I want (I am not the smartest cookie in the tin).

So! Turn Off the Mic!! Written by @yamiheart!! In a short and gross understatement: I absolutely love this fic. The writing is up there with my friend Star's (an author for bendy and the ink machine, one of the most stellar writers I've encountered in my life) and between her skill and how much I like her, that is not a comparison I make easily or lightly. I have no words of my own that can do it justice. It's just so visceral and deeply touching in the picture it paints, and no matter how many times I've reread it I get chills all over again. It's fucking beautiful and if you ship this go read it now! Here's a link!! Go go go!!!

So what is Anika's quirk?

Anika’s quirk is a banshee scream that momentarily shuts down the quirk of whoever gets hit with it, in proportion to how bad the yell fucked em up. Like if you're at a far distance it's a few seconds but point blank say bye bye quirk for a good 3 hours.

6/30: free day!

It's the last day of @erasermicweek everybody! So I say fuck it future time babes. (Quick shout-out to the wonderful peeps that organized this, thank you for the great time!)

The rather beat up girl is my OC and their biological child Anika, conceived by way of a quirk. She takes after her papa Hizashi a lot, mainly in coloring and demeanor but also in his neuroses, except twenty times worse and capable of judo throwing people (fun fact: Anika's anger issues comes from Shouta's side of the family, she just also has Hizashi's higher energy that let's her act on it more readily).

Her quirk manifested super late (like,,, around 13), and being the "quirkless child" of the duo of Present Mic; well known and possessing an insanely powerful quirk, and Eraserhead; one of the greatest underground heroes to date, caused her quite a lot of grief growing up. She's quick to get punchy even now it's finally shown up and Anika intends to follow in her fathers' footsteps, but they love their ridiculous youngest daughter. Even if they wish she was more akin in temperament to her older sister Eri or more of a shit talker than a straight up brawler like her brother Hitoshi.

6/28: recognition, appreciation, admiration 

These words together brought only one thing to my mind honestly. A one shot built on a take for Hizashi’s past I made up that’s on my tragically long list of "Things To Write Hopefully When My Shit Attention Span Will Let Me”. It's kinda complicated but i’ll try to explain: Hizashi and Shouta used to be childhood best friends, back when Hizashi was the quiet kid with the unfortunate quirk that demanded usage of a muzzle. Back when Hizashi's eyes were blood red and his hair more akin moonlight than sunshine.

Back when Hizashi was a bullied little orphan girl known simply as Kou. 

They went their separate ways after Kou was adopted, and them “Kou” became “Yamada Hizashi” and unrecognizable. Hizashi deliberately kept this part of himself from Shouta when they met, initially to avoid falling back into old habits (where he'd huddle behind Shouta away from the world, and Shouta would let him) but eventually it ended up that Hizashi is just so ashamed of what he initially was and would rather forget it all.

Shouta has a differing opinion on that. You see, Shouta adored Kou, and this reveal is going to go significantly more positive than Hizashi would even dare to hope for.

6/27: rebuilt, recovered, regained

In which kind but undeniably mad scientist Yamada Hizashi decides that if the government is just going to let his boyfriend rot away in a coma because "the technology for recovery just isn't ready for a case as severe as his", he'll just have to take matters into his own hands and expertise.

I floundered with this day's subject a lot >_<", and only starting actual drawing this the 26th. So definitely not my most thought out attempt of the week. Ah well, can't all be winners.
