2001 Gibson Angus Young SG With Lyre Vibrola

Finally... 3 of 3

This one is different.. It does not spot the usual "Devil Child" on the headstock. For better or for worse, I could do without that awful inlay.  It's been discontinued since 2008 so you won't see this too often. In my opinion, The newer Angus Young SG models just lacks that vintage mojo.  This guitar has got some serious balls with the Angus Young humbucker in the bridge. This one is a keeper.. :D

2 of 3 First thing that hit me when i pulled it out of the case? She is god damn heavy!! I think it would be safe to say that this piece is the heaviest guitar i have ever held in my hands. How the heck do artists hang this around their shoulders for hours on end?

2009 Nuno Bettencourt Washburn N4 Vintage Relic

When i was a kid growing up in the early 90's, while Swee Lee was still operating at the old Plaza Singapura. I would stand outside the glass display and admire the guitars that i could only dream of owning. The one that always caught my eye was the Nuno Bettencourt Washburn N4. It had mojo and it looked different from the rest who sparkled with bright and shiny colours.

During that era, Extreme was huge! I have always longed for a N4 ever since i watched the MTV for "Rest In Peace" on my 14" CRT TV set. That Paduak N4 was the guitar that i would die for. I vowed to myself that one day i will save enough to bag me one of these N4's.

That day has come! I am now a proud owner of a Washburn N4 Vintage Relic. I had so much love and fond memories of this guitar when i was growing up. This will be a hard one to let go. What a smashing way to say "goodbuy" to 2014.
