Updated Lashes

All my lashes will now appear in the new eyelash category in CAS! You can find them within the makeup section, and they will no longer require you to remove piercings or moles to apply them.

The latest base game update also lets you choose which outfits to apply the lashes to, finally!

Unfortunately, the textures will still conflict with rings and glasses, as the texture areas were not changed with the new update.

New Conflict Icons

The thumbnails now include icons showing which lashes conflict with what. This makes it easier to identify which lashes to apply if you also want your Sim to wear glasses or rings.

Deleting Old Lashes

You can download all the new versions below, but feel free to delete all my old lashes that are in the wrong categories. You don't HAVE to delete them, as they still work like before, but I recommend it to reduce clutter in CAS. All old lashes broke in the August Sims update.

Updating Your Sims

Your existing Sims won’t automatically start wearing the new lashes, so you will need to reapply them.

I also highly recommend the EA eyelash remover by Kijiko for a less blocky look!  You can get it here

Laptop Mode

The lashes will not work well with laptop mode turned on in graphics settings. If you use a lower-end laptop, you can still try to turn it off, but you may experience performance issues.

New mesh. Since you had to wait so long for that ruffle dress, I thought you’d be glad to get two dresses, do you agree? So I created another one - they’re pretty similar, and I tried to make a matching color scheme both in dark and light variants. They’re not 100% rococo actually, but imho it’s better to have some variety instead of a strict historical accuracy.

Ruffle dress: 20570 poly [ thanks to the ruffle itself ]. Bow dress: 8711 poly. All LODs, specular and normal maps. Basegame compatible, HQ mod compatible. There can be some transparency issues with custom not overlay skinblends - sorry, but it depends on the way the skin was created, so I can’t solve it with my mesh.

As usual, preview pics are pure screenshots 100% from the game - no color edit, no ReShade, just cleared background.

There’s nothing I can do here - believe me, I tried. Because of the game engine it can be just same as now - or we’ll get a fuzzy mess instead of a skirt.

Standalone recolor [ mesh is included ]! To my regret, I wasn’t able to contact with the mesh author. But as far as I understood [ google translator and kindhearted @ft19891211-sims helped me a lot ] BareBara2020 is against using this mesh to make any profit. And since I don’t have any here… Anyway, if BareBara2020 shows up and tells me to remove the mesh, I’ll do this immediately, but for now the mesh is included [ especially regarding that satanic difficulty of downloading anything from Baidu cloud, if you live somewhere outside China ]. Please visit BareBara2020’s PAGE - there you’ll find amazing ancient chinese and fantasy clothes for your sims.

Actually, it should be a New Year present, but with that hectic moving everything turned upside down, so I’m a little late. Well, better late than never.

As usual, preview pics are pure screenshots 100% from the game - no color edit, no ReShade, just cleared backgroud. There are three packages for three color schemes - all standalone recolors, so you can download the one you want or the merged package. Royal set - bright intense colors with gold or silver metallic trim. Gloss for metals is included. Tender set - pastel and faded colors, texture has slight shine for silk effect. Dark set - deep saturated tones, no any sharp and contrast details. Except for two bw dresses.

I added new normal and specular maps [ they are different, that’s why we need three different packages ], edited the texture, but I should warn you - the outfit is far from perfect. A lot of clipping [ esp. while moving ], texture glitches with some shoes, hair and even eyeshadows, lighter area near the neck, troubles with visibility of some necklaces… Despite all these problems, I think it’s still one of the most beautiful historical [ or near-historical ] dresses for TS4.
