where would gumshoe’s sister be during the apocalypse au?

a lot of my apocalypse stuff blends with lcftcvers, and i’m not sure if lance has gone into detail about this, but before blade   &   blake found nora wandering around the island, they discovered the ruins of an ancient temple and began to build a fortress among the debris with three other members of their squad at the time.   once she came to live with them, the base became much more functional and evolved into a small community rather than shelter to take at night.

shortly after the first wave of husks overwhelmed the island, nora lost all contact with celeste.   at this point noir   &   sleuth were dead, so gum traveled around in hopes that she would be able to find her sister.   nora was found by the leftovers before she could find her sister, so her hope was wearing thin.

among their community gum leads a squadron that focuses on scouting the island for survivors, new obelisk spawns, and any potential areas that have not already been infected.   on one of these expeditions, she found celeste!!! and she’s one of the more recent survivors to join the bunch   ( which we have a list of skins by name somewhere oof )

celeste doesn’t go on many outings unless needed, opting to stay at the base and specialize in medical care.   she doesn’t have any formal training but she’s more than glad to help out triage trooper in the   ‘ infirmary ’.

what is gum’s sister up to, after all the events that had happened?

celeste is still preforming!   i don’t talk about her hobbies that often, but she’s a jill—of—all—trades entertainer, though her main show stopper is magic   —   bigger illusions on the stage.   

during the cattus events   /   nexus exposure, she heeded the warnings around the island and hid with most of the other islanders, but since everything has significantly calmed down, she’s out and about again.   she bothers nora about her new findings regarding the new rift zones and other various changes around the island out of pure curiosity, but she refuses to tell.

what’s her favorite candy? does she prefer chocolate or hard candies?

gum won’t turn down chocolate, but she’d much rather prefer hard candies, especially if they’re sweet.   her favorites are jolly ranchers   ( cherry ones! )   —   or whatever equivalent exists on the island.

does gumshoe do any forensic work? Or does she work only in the field?

she does!   while it isn’t a main priority of hers, she does assume the duty of collecting samples   /   analyzing data in order to advance their case, whereas noir and sleuth are usually eager to jump to conclusions and solve cases as quickly as possible.   she’ll analyze every minor detail, regardless if it’s essential or not, at a crime scene before continuing   ( and she’s used to them teasing her about it ).

gum isn’t an expertise in forensics, but she does her research!

nora has maintenance insomnia   ;   while she doesn’t have any difficulty falling asleep, often times she’ll wake up during the night and have difficulty going back to sleep.   she noticed it more often around the era that kevin shattered and cube monsters roamed the island and has been struggling with it ever since.

regardless of getting 2   —   3 hours of sleep most nights, she still manages to wake up chipper and ready for work.   nora is an early bird despite her insomnia.

nora can tie knots in cherry stems with her tongue.   if she feels close enough to someone else, she may ask for the cherry in their milkshake if they aren’t eating it in order to show them   —   she also loves maraschino cherries, especially when they’re coated in whipped cream.

when she used to live in retail, nora had a bunch of succulents all over her house   —   in the kitchen, on bookshelves, in various nooks and crannies.   she treated them fondly for lack of a pet due to her demanding work schedule.

she wasn’t able to take all of her plants with her when she evacuated in anticipation of the volcano’s eruption, but she managed to pack a few of her favorites, namely ones that she kept on her desk in the agency.   since moving into the hotel, she hasn’t gotten any new ones in favor of finding a new home first.

nora has a sweet tooth!   it’s not very noticeable until you offer her candy, when she’ll immediately accept and fawn over it.

she carries both candy and regular cigarettes with her.   both give her a rush, be it nicotine or sugar, so she usually doesn’t have a preference when searching through her pockets for something to smoke.
