Gunmar grinned from horn to horn as she returned to him with no qualms. He knelt down to her miniscule level and nuzzled her face with his own. His breath may have been foul, but he knew that Elain was not bothered. He gave a small lick to her face and rested himself onto his stomach. He pulled Dio close to his side and nuzzled into her neck for a short while. He was the happiest he’d been in….centuries. He could not remember how long his happiness had escaped him, yet…he felt more alive than he had in well…forever.

He nudged her slightly to encourage her to get familiar with the frigid, crisp rain, yet he forgot that humans are more fragile than trolls, “Well, are you going to venture out, small one?” He thrummed almost silently with amusement as he awaited a response, “It’s not as bad as you would expect.”

“Yes my child, it is very much like magic. It cleanses the lands, and it brings forth new growth and…life,” Gunmar froze for a moment, he thought about his son. His whereabouts were still a mystery. He pondered for a moment, wondering if his son would ever be seen again. A heavy sigh escaped him as he huddled his mate close to his chest, “You are very brave, child, and I am proud to call you my offspring…my daughter,” He nuzzled Dionysus and beckoned the young one to return to him. He was very pleased with her braver and efforts to overcome every new obstacle that comes her way.

Gunmar gave a soft purr to his loved ones. He was always proud to be around such bravery and encouragement, “Yes young one, do as your mother asks,” His toothy grin expanded when he felt the thrum of his mate’s soft purr against his chest. The tyrant stood huddled over his mate. He kept her hidden beneath his worn, scarred hide. He let the rain drench his already disheveled mane. The water ran down his curvature and form so whimsically that, Gunmar noticed, that the female swooned over this. He imagined she was eager for the rain to cease. He knew she was never a fan of thunder or lightning at best. Good thing the lightning had little to no effect on the Gumm-Gumm. Gunmar would have no issue getting past this obstacle.

This blog is dedicated to a reformed, semi-anti hero/villain Gunmar the Black...or Bold if you wish to give him a new title. He may either be in the Darklands, or he may be outside of it. He has several universes in which he is portrayed, so please follow the AUs below before interacting.

Please be sure to address the mun as Kai. No further information will be given. Do not ask!!

Gunmar will remain in character to my mold, but he will sometimes be evil and ruthless, so do not expect a “perfect” depiction.

DioMar AU - Gunmar the Black is mated to his most prized posession. Dionysus is a gorgeous female gumm-gumm queen whom he rightfully claims as his. He will do whatever it takes to keep her, and his son, Bular, out of trouble from harms way. He is aggressive and VERY protective of said mate.
