Gwen nodded letting out a soft hum, nodding slowly as he spoke. It's rare for her to interact with other spiders, occasional nod and wave there, but nothing too exciting. This is a nice change, an actual conversation with someone who understands what she's going through. Their timelines aren't that far off, too.
“Mhm, it's rare for things to go so smoothly for people like us.” She lets out a soft laugh, shaking her head. “How's it going in your universe? 1930’s.. right?” She mumbled as she brought the glass to her lips, taking a sip of her drink as she kept her eyes on him.
She wanted to know more about this Peter variant, he already caught her attention might as well see where their conversation will lead to.

Gwendolyn had just finished yet another mission, she should tell Miguel to stop giving her tasks in universes from the far future. The technology and atmosphere makes her overwhelmed and a bit out of place. Today's mission wasn't difficult per se, but it is tiring - though not tiring enough for her to come home and actually have a goodnight’s rest.
She figured, why not go pay Delilah a visit? It's been a while since Gwen has been in The Bar With No Name. A couple of drinks will surely knock her out cold once she gets home. She opened up a portal to the bar, but not before removing her suit and hiding it somewhere—she hoped she'll remember where she placed it later—she stepped inside and there stood Delilah behind the counter, drying up the glasses. Gwen glanced around the bar, not many customers, good thing it was morning in this universe, not many villains hang out in the bar at daylight.
Gwen took a seat in one of the stools in front of the bar, Delilah soon enough glanced at her before placing down the rag and the glass on its rack. “What brings you here, Ms. Stark? It's been a while,” She uttered, before crossing her arms. Gwen looks at the bartender and gives a light chuckle and a small, tired smile. “Nothing much, just wanted to let my mind run free.” She murmurs, “just whiskey on the rocks, Delilah. Thank you.” She added, the bartender gave a nod before she started pouring down whiskey and adding ice cubes to a glass.
Delilah slides it over to Gwen, before asking, “Exhausted?” The woman asked, the Stark heiress gently taking the glass in her hand before bringing to her lips taking a small sip and bringing it down once more, “more like.. overwhelmed.” she replied. The bartender gave an understanding nod, “would you like to talk about it or…?” She asked, but Gwen shook her head taking another swig of her alcohol. Delilah nodded once more, “alright, I'll leave you to it.” She mumbled before walking off to continue her job, leaving Gwen alone with her drink.

Fortunately for him, it made her chuckle a bit. Gwen her lips curled into a slight grin, before tucking in a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. She hummed and swirls the amber liquid in her glass, watching it slosh around. “It's alright. It could be better, but then again it could be worse, right?”
Gwen glances back at him, giving him a soft smile, it's been a while since she's actually talked to someone aside from being a vigilante or as a businesswoman. She's actually being her, for once. She shifted in her seat before looking at the bloke sitting next to her, taking in his.. monochromatic appearance, it's not everyday you get to see someone walking around in one specific shade of color. Then again, from what she's heard, he's from the 30’s, it makes sense.
Does she look like a creep looking at him so intensely, right now? She definitely has a staring problem. Gwen blinked, “So, what about you, Mr. Parker? How have you been doing lately?” She asked back, giving him a toothy grin.

Gwendolyn was so sure that he'd just stand up and decline her offer. Daddy-o, seriously? She's not making a business proposal and she's definitely not trying to butter him up so he'll accept her offer, she groaned inwardly when she sensed the tense atmosphere grow after she said that.
Great, she looks like a stalker now, too. She wanted to know more about Gwen (Stacy)’s other spider-pals, so of course she asked the basics. She knew she should've just asked or actually communicated with them first, but nope, she needed a messenger to tell her instead.
Gwen's not the best at making friends, her people skills are reserved for the business kind, not in the hey-wanna-be-friends way.. So, this interaction is very difficult for her, but she figured to just wing it, go with the flow as they say. Though, she didn't expect him to actually introduce himself, which calmed her nerves down a bit.
“Oh, I thought your name was Peter-” she paused, maybe he's not comfortable with sharing that? And again, she's being stalker-ish, Gwen nodded slowly and took his hand in a firm handshake, she didn't want to seem pushy about the pseudonym thing. “Gwen, Gwendolyn Stark, no e and not Stacy,” she humors, hopefully to ease the tension a bit. She offered a small smile to him, seems like their encounter is taking a turn.

Okay, this was a good start. She shouldn't have overthink about it, maybe he's as nervous as she was. They don't really have that much interaction other than small nods here and there in the Spider-Society’s building..
Gwendolyn chuckled nervously and nodded slowly, “Haha.. got that, Daddy-o.” She sucked in a breath and looked away, they're passing nicknames, they're getting comfy, she forgot the ‘slang’ barrier between them, he probably thought she's referring to him in a totally different way.
God, strike me down this instant.
“You like.. egg creams, yes? I'll just- get that for you.” Gwen changed the topic, instantly, asking the bartender for the man's beverage, she was still feeling the effects of embarrassment as she sat there. Her shoulders tensed up as the silence engulfed the two.

The alcohol in her system was starting to settle in, but not that fast unlike an average human being. Gwen just looked at him, with a deadpan expression, she blinked a couple of times and contemplated for a while, looking away.
Did he not hear her? Did she slur her words already? Or was he just not interested in a conversation? She shouldn't have started the conversation in the first place! She lets out a sigh and turned to look at him again.
“What I meant was.. would you like a drink? I'll be paying, of course-” she muttered with a slight nervous chuckle, she didn't want to seem like she's straightforward, but she already dug her grave, might as well lie in it now.
