FILMING GROUP TWO
Today we filmed part of group twos music video. I learnt how to tilt the camera and how to zoom in. I also learn’t how to place the tripod correctly to make sure that its straight within the angles of the scene. Moreover it was harder than I thought it would be as everything takes a lot of time to set up and position correctly.

FILMING GROUP ONE
So here are some photos of our first day of filming our music video (group one’s). Group two was helpful enough to film us whilst we were acting out the scenes (from the script previously posted). During the shoot I learn’t that the actors cannot talk directly to the Director and have to go through Director Assistant. We also learn’t what a mechanical rehearsal is and that you have to film another run through of a scene just in case something goes wrong and you lose the first run through.

SCRIPT- MUSIC VIDEO
Here is our script for our music video. Its about being who you want to be and not letting others change you to fit in. Our video tells the story of Victoria a girl who has to hide who she really is from her parents (as they wouldn’t approve) and is who she really wants to be when shes with her best friend. The story is about finding out who you really are and accepting it, regardless of what others think.
EXTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
Dad accompanies Victoria to the school door, Victoria walks up to the main school entrance and walks up the steps in her formal clothes as always.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
She rushes up the school main stairs (school is empty)
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
Goes directly into the bathroom and slams the door as if she was really tight of time.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY-BATHROOM:
Immediately she lets her hair loose from the pony tail, goes down and flips her hair up.
Moreover puts lipstick on and then puts eyeliner on.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
After a while more people start to arrive to school including her best friend Sophie, who walks up the stairs and waits for Victoria where they always meet before going to class.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
Victoria walks out of the bathroom and sees that Sophie is waiting. They give each other a hug.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
They walk together to class along the corridor.
(End of the day *zoom out, zoom in*)
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
As always Victoria has an excuse to stay and wait till everyone leaves the building.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL--DAY:
Leads running to the bathroom where she depressingly takes her makeup off. (crying)
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
After taking her makeup off and getting changed. She slightly opens the door to peak and see if there's anyone in the corridor.
INTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
She saw there was nobody around, therefore she headed down the stairs already changed, doing her pony tail up.
EXTERIOR-SCHOOL-DAY:
She goes where her mum is, who is waiting where she dropped her off, at the entrance of the school.

FILM  Pre-PRODUCTION
One of our projects is to make a short music video using royalty free music that we found online (mentioned in the previous post). However, to to be able to film a short video we needed to learn about pre-production. This involves writing up a script outlining when and what happens in the video. Along with a Stroyboard, which is a visual representation of the script and helps show/outline more clearly where each actor is or what camera angle is used, giving the overall picture to each shot.

MUSIC RESEARCH
So here is our music research, the first two images show our research on SoundCloud. We found a rock song that we thought would fit great with our music video. However, when we looked more in depth we found that (although it says Creative Commons) the music was not free to download and that you had to pay a 25 Dollar fee to get the license.
After some more research we found a website called Bensound that has a vast amount of music that you can download (for free) and use for your multimedia project, so long as you credit Bensound.

FILM SHOOT
On one of our previous classes we filmed a short clip with a short story line. We learnt how to position the camera on the tripod and how to zoom in properly. We learnt what blocking is and how how to film certain angles with shallow depth of field.

Last Thursday we went to the amazing Sitges film festival were we watched “SHATTERED FRAGMENTS” a film directed and created by four A-film students. the film in its self was quite good in my opinion, considering it was created and filmed by students with such a low budget. My favourite part was probably the flashback of the 2 main characters(Ana and Virginia)where they used red lighting and severe angle to convey a distressed and possibly foreboding setting to the audience.
This is the link to the trailer and all the information about the film, enjoy!
