SO Update on the Carmen Sandiego Timeline shenanigans Context first though I was helping my friend develop his AU, we decided to use the rough outline of my timeline as a basis. As we began discussing events around the time of Season 4 I began to think. This is never a good sign. This was my main problem:

Why would Player begin school in December as opposed to January? We know Season 3 ends on November, specifically November 5 for Guy Fawkes day. The beginning of Season 4 is shortly thereafter with Roundabout's imprisonment and failed mind wiping.

There is an undisclosed amount of time between the Beijing Bullion Caper and Big Bad Ivy Caper, but it seems to take place in a month with 31 days.

(you can see based on my notes that I was struggling with this idea. I was under the assumption for most of Season 4 that it was still November before I got to this episode. Photo taken from the VILE History Caper ^)

I originally placed this 31-day month as December, so there wouldn't be a super long time between capers, but the Big Bad Ivy Caper is when Player begins school. It is most likely that the school he's going to is split into two semesters, the first ending in December and the second picking up the first Monday of January.

It would make the most sense for him to begin attending school as the semester began rather than joining in right at the end right?? Right???

I have no way of knowing if this is the case, most of what I do is regrettably, educated guesses based on the very little the show gives us.

But if it is January, the new end of the timeline would look something like this:

July 2018 - Carmen robs Cleo's vault in Poitiers, runs into Crackle on train to Paris (Season 1 Episodes 1-2)

This is only included because as Devineaux is interrogating Graham in Reykjavik he asks him about "what [he was] doing on the train from Poitiers to Paris 18 months ago". If this investigation is moved forward a month, so is the Poitiers robbery.

January 6, 2020 - Player begins attending school

In 2020, January 6 is the first Monday of the month. It's the most probable time school would be resuming. He books a flight for Carmen and Ivy to Bavaria for the Caper occurring the following day.

January 7, 2020 - Events of the Big Bad Ivy Caper

The Big Bad Ivy Caper happens a day after Carmen and Player's conversation.

January 8, 2020 - Events of the Robo Caper

Carmen and Ivy depart for Singapore the morning of the 8th, arriving in time to face off against VILE's new Robo Robber.

January 9, 2020 - Regroup + debrief in San Diego, flight to Reykjavik, attempt to free Graham from jail

Carmen and Ivy return to San Diego after their stand off with the Robo Robber. They are given news via Player of Graham's arrest and show up to free him before VILE can get their hands on him. This does not end well.

January 10, 2020 - Carmen attempts to rescue Graham from Bellum's Himalayan Lab

Carmen flies out to Nepal in order to free Graham from VILE's clutches. After being told the truth of his role in VILE, Gray declines and Carmen blows up Bellum's lab, making her escape.

The Big Bad Ivy Caper to the Himalayan Rescue Caper all take place in the span of a week. As Carmen plans how to rescue Graham she claims she doesn't want to involve Player because he had "already been sent to detention on [her] account. And [it was] only his first week in school". So it is still only week one, and currently a weekday because he's in school while she's operating.

Does this make any sense? No, absolutely not. Why, you may ask? BECAUSE FLYING TAKES A LONG TIME. San Diego to Munich is 11 hours, Munich to Singapore is 12, Singapore back to San Diego is 18, and then to Reykjavik is another 11. REYKJAVIK TO NEPAL IS 22. NOT TO MENTION IVY ZACK AND CARMEN ALL FLY TO NIAGARA FALLS TO SEE PLAYER BEFORE THE END OF HIS SCHOOL DAY???

For reference, 3 whole days of their adventures between the Big Bad Ivy to Himalayan Rescue Caper would be comprised exclusively of flying. And with that on top of timezones and the fact that all of these capers take place at night no matter where in the world Team Red is, there's no way it could have been in one week. ESPECIALLY not if all of them just so happen to take place while Player is in school because there would have to be a very specific window of time where Player was in school and it was dark out wherever Carmen was.

Regrettably, this show does not care about my sanity enough to make it make sense so I try to make it make sense to everyone else

My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I know Player ended up hacking ACME to the point, I assume, that it severed all their communications through the holo pens. But imagine if they were able to salvage some part of it and Chief was able to get a hold of Chase through his pen (if he still has it) instead of a phone call, but her hologram is so fucking tiny.
