I haven’t seen nearly enough people talk about how Azriel and Gwyns jobs perfectly compliment each other. The spymaster and the researcher. Are you kidding me? It’s perfect. Gwyn find the information and Azriel puts it to use. The perfect team. I can see Gwyn becoming the official researcher for the inner circle.

Day 3 - Bonds that heal

This artwork was commissioned by a friend who wished to remain anonymous, I am so honoured that she wanted me to share this 🤗

@jmoonjones is an absolute favourite of mine and I am so thrilled that I get to share this work of hers on my page .

A big part of Gwyn's story is the void and guilt she deals with at the loss of her twin , through ACOSF we see her make new bonds , a found family , her Valkyrie sisters that heals her heart in a hopeful way ❤️. While Gwyn's story and journey  is still in progress we do think her Valkyrie sisters will be a big part of her life and so will Az who I am guessing is her mate , I think Gwyn deserves to experience that soul sharing mate bond and that will be another part of her beautiful story that I cannot wait to read.

🪦 The Elriel Bible Is Just a Collection of Recycled Scene — Let’s Discuss 🪦

Elriels love to scream "But he blushed when Elain complimented him!"

Cool. He also blushed when Nesta hugged him.

Oh, he had sexual thoughts about Elain?Right.

Just like how he had so much lust for Mor that Feyre literally had to look away from the raw tension in the room. multiple times.

Difference?

He had longing and emotional yearning for Mor He ached for her.He actual had emotional feelings that didn't stem from finding/forcing logic and symmetry.

Elain's potato steam compared to shadows?"Except… that’s been done. With Mor...

Not unique to Elain. Reused. Recycled. Redundant.

Now imagine if:–

Every Feysand moment had already happened with Feylin.

– If Rowan had the same scenes with Dorian that he later had with Aelin.

– If Chaol had trauma-healing + training montages with literally everyone else before Yrene.

You’d call that lazy storytelling or in general not endgame material clearly in simple words, right?

Congratulations.That’s Elriel.

A story that’s already been told with other women—better.

Because when it’s endgame, it’s unique.

It’s soul-level. It’s emotionally charged and narratively protected.

Let’s look at what Gwynriel has:

💙 Only Gwyn made Azriel’s shadows sing to her breath.

💙 Only Gwyn calmed them and settled them and him. Also after an emotional turmoil.

💙 Only Gwyn is in his chest. A deep, glowing awareness.

💙 Only Gwyn made him unconsciously smile.

💙 Only Gwyn was in his thoughts the next morning—her smile, her bright teal eyes.

💙Only she made his chest spark and so much more

This is the language of slow-burn, emotionally-rooted, canon-supported connection.

Gwynriel is obvious.

And the only reason Elriel shippers can’t see it?

Because they’ve been self-inserting since 2016.

Colorblind to bright flags.

Deaf to narrative rhythm.

Stuck in the past fantasies and wishful thinking while the story has clearly moved on.

So we’ll just sit back.Keep our receipts.Enjoy our slow-burn, soft-and-sharp shadow-laced romance——and wait for the inevitable announcement 💅

I cannot help but think how gwyn is the only female in the series with no idea what male warmth feels like in her life. She grew up among females, never had a real home, just lived her whole life in a dormitory just like how she is now at the library, her father never came in search of his twins nor had she ever been with a male (except for that god awful incident). We have no idea if she’s even had her first kiss yet. This aches my heart cuz gwyn is the one person, despite everything she lacked growing up and despite everything terrible that has happened to her, is still the bravest, bubbliest and nicest person in acotar. Not a single bitter bone in her body for how life and people have been so unfair towards her.

One thing that really pisses me off is when people make Gwyn out to be some girl simping for Azriel. It grinds my gears because like it completely disregards Gwyn's character but also what makes Gwyn and Azriel, Gwyn and Azriel.

One reason I love gwynriel is that Gwyn is truly the only one who is sassying him, not taking him seriously, writing him off, and calling him out. She stays charming him. And I know this will sound bad but she's not like the other priestesses who fawn after him (and no shade to them its funny). Like she want to get to know HIM and it perplex me so much when people paint her out to be his lackey when in actuality is more likely hes HER lackey.
