Hi! Uh, I've been downloading and enjoying your stuff for a while now, especially your skins. You mentioned a genetic scale in one of your posts. Is that consistent between your newest blends? (That is to say, do your most recent skins follow that scale?) I'm trying to put together a massive genetics set and having them already sorted would be a big help. If not, no big deal.

Hi, thanks! The genetic scale included in the geneticized file is for the skin included. Most of my Whysim recolors have the same genetic value for each shade (e.g. Beach is always .4.) On some of my earlier uploads, I modified the scale slightly depending on if the base tone was lighter/darker than the Remix skins that I use my defaults and main skins. I don’t do that anymore because it’s more time consuming, and recent Whysim recolors just follow the Remix genetic scale. That being said, I’m pretty sure all my geneticized skins have a .txt file explaining the genetic scale in them. If that’s not the case, someone let me know.

For AlfredAskew RGB tones, I just geneticize them as best as I can to go along with the Trapping tones. It’s not perfect because it can be hard to determine if a shade is lighter or darker when it has different undertones.

The genetics for Sunday Morning and the recolors of the DreadPirate skin are different because they’re very different skins, and I’m not sure if someone who uses my more realistic skins would be interested in those.

Gotta love an absurdly long title, but anyways, these are the defaults I'm using right now and I made the rest of this lovely set geneticized and townified. Same sclera as my resclera of Tea Leaf's eyes, so the sets look good together. Swatch from CelestialSpritz:

Sunday Morning Skinblend

Finally! My first skinblend. Although most of the credit has to go to Digi - I used her "Happy When it Rains" (style 2) skin as a base. The bodies are unchanged from Digi's originals. I just changed the faces. The faces feature @whysim Skin 42 eyelids courtesy of @serabiet, @lilith-sims's Buttercup nosemask and Golden Wings blush, @sixfootsims's tongue texture, @esotheria-sims' recolor of Tea Leaf's Azmarie lips, @pooklet's waterline and face shine, Digi's XOD eyebags, and @simnopke's subtle wrinkles for elders. There's also some shading on the cheekbones from a creator whose name I don't know, so thanks to whoever that is!

Keeping in the vein of naming skins after songs I was listening to when I made them - I dubbed this one "Sunday Morning."

Features:

-TU-EU all have fitness states! You can see them in the preview pics above.

-Elders have light wrinkles using Nopke's Subtle Wrinkles.

-comes in custom, geneticized, geneticized + towniefied, and Default versions!

-Youngins have more youthful faces! Here's a preview of the ages in the base tone.

-30 natural shades! All of Trapping's natural tones, select Alfred Askew tones (mainly the blue and green ones that I liked best), and cooler versions of the darkest Trapping tones. Every shade is tooltipped and the files clearly labeled.

Oh, and here's a preview of the defaults!

S1-S4, Alien, Genie, and Mannequin. For other supernaturals, I recommend using overlays.

Androgyny AM added to Legacy BSOK & BSOK Editor!

@furbyq asked me if Legacy BSOK included Magpie's AM androgyny bodyshape, and I could swear it did but apparently not, just the AF one? That needed to be fixed, so I've assigned a product code for it and added it to BSOK Editor too!

It's been added to @h0nkytonkangels's updated file that includes Dummy Thicc (thank you again for that!) so if you have my DT add-on file from my previous uploads you won't need it anymore. I used the same abbreviation (AY) as the AF androgyny shape, made a new icon to be easier to see with CleanUI and replaced the AF androgyny icon with the same one (please let me know if it's hard to see on other UIs).

The Bodyshape Icons_2023 file goes in your Downloads folder. the bsok_04Legacy.xml goes in the folder you have BSOK Editor installed, under Resources > XML. You should know be able to select Androgyny AM under Legacy BSOK > Bodyshapes > Slim Sizes (male).

Veronavillequiltingbee's V2 Edit of Io's 3/20 Skins Recolored

This was requested on simscord. I decided to take it on, and now I figure I'd upload it here too since I'm sure others might want these recolors. As the title states, these are recolors of this edit of these skins. I did them in Trapping's natural skin actions and 7 unnaturals by Trapping, @pooklet, and @furbyq. Naturals are geneticized and townified. The genetic scale is included in the download and based on the Party for One skinblend.

Let me know if there are any issues. I haven't play tested these since I don't intend on using them in my game, but if I were to go maxis match, these are totally the skins I'd use.

A while ago, I had all the premades extracted into bodyshop. Google is a turd, and I cannot for the life of me find it again. IIRC, the download was one big package, not separated by pack, and the sims were .package files and not .sims2pack. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

8 Stained Glass Recolors of Mustluvcats window film

I found some nice, kinda art noveau-ish or deco-ish(?) stained glass textures in my folder and put them @mustluvcatz-reloaded window film.

Meshs and previews are included. Everything is compressed.

Sunshine Blues Skinblend

I finally succumbed to the urge to make my own skinblend, mostly because I decided I wanted something with more definition in the bodies. Then of course I decided to go full semirealistic, found a skin base, and went to town with Photoshop. (The name was because I had '49 Mercury Blues stuck in my head for some reason.)

The base of this skin is Mouseyblue's Sunshine skin. The original skin did not have saggy boobs for elder females, and that's something I like (because, you know, it happens!) so I stole the boobs from this skin. Then I decided I wanted to have bodybuilder ladies as well, so I overlaid the abs from the male fit states onto the female fit states. The last change I made to the body was lightening the palms on colors darker than Sunkissed.

For the face, I went with variant #4 of the original skin and overlaid Lilth's Cara nosemask and Whispers lips on top of the original, and slapped some mouth corners on because I liked the way it looked.

After all that was done, I ran Trapping's actions over it (though I tweaked the hues of Dusk and Sunset slightly because they were too red for my liking), met in the middle for some Maxis defaults, and attempted to smooth out all the pixelization I could. There's still some pixelization, mostly around the collarbones and other details that I didn't want to erase, but it's not as bad as it was before. Warning: do not compressorize these because they'll be pixelated. Also you only save 3 megs and storage is cheap these days.

There are three options: Maxis defaults, geneticized skins, and custom skins. The geneticized skins are based off of these skintones (Party for One/Calm Depths/Honeygold Redeux), which also conflict with Lilith's Marigold skin, so you can't use them both at the same time, sorry. The Maxis defaults are between Warmth and Sunkissed for Light, Beach/Olive Skin for Tan, Sunheat/Dusk for Medium, and Sunset/Moonlit Night for Dark. The swatch with the Bodyshop sims is the maxis defaults, the other swatch is the Trapping range. The full body pics above show all the skintones, the Trapping ones on some of my sims and the Maxis ones on premades. Fit and fat states are indicated where applicable.

I'm still working on the supernatural defaults, I have a few things to iron out with the alien skin, the zombie and vampire ones are pretty much done, and I still need to figure out what I'm doing for plantsim and if I'm doing any others. I also plan to do matching monolid eyeshadow using another variant of the base skin.

Sure, I'm always WCIF friendly :) The outfit is originally by Gelydh, edited and recolored by Azaya, and further recolored and converted to different body shapes by Mrs Mquve.
