Check out the newest addition to our collection of awesome Volkwagen Beetles: This incredibly handsome wooden Bug was painstakingly crafted by Momir Bojic, who lives in Bosnia. Momir used 50,000 pieces of sculpted oak to create the little car’s beautiful wooden skin, which covers both the exterior and interior of the car - but not the headlights or taillights, so it’s still street-legal. After each piece was in place, Momir lovingly varnished the whole thing. Then he made himself a matching hat to wear while driving his fantastic wooden Beetle.

In a hearty salute to the self-made ‘moonshiners’ at the centre of John Hillcoat’s downhome bootlegging caper, Lawless - the cover movie of Little White Lies issue 42 - our magazine design team decided to distill their own process of creation and kick it old school by returning to reliable old wood and ink.
The process of painting with old wooden boards is very inspirational, so that we decided to try it ourselfes. I hope we could inspire you as well a little bit?!
