Astra’s Role in LADS

So I have have always believed that Astra will end up being the big, bad villain of the game and I know there are others who feel the same way. I also think he likely has some kind of connection with EVER but that is a whole other rabbit hole that I will talk about later. And while some people play with the idea of Astra being added as a love interest, I disagree and think it would do far more to further the plot and lore if he was actually related to MC. I take that idea a step further and propose that Astra is actually the father of MC. In every lifetime MC winds up as an orphan— parents dying tragically in some way, shape, or form. I think in her first life (original life? Original timeline?) she was the daughter of Astra and a human woman who died during childbirth. Astra disowned MC as his child, unable to forgive her for taking the life of his beloved and cursing her to live the rest of her existence unhappy. In Astra’s eyes it is the ultimate form of remittance; MC makes him miserable for the rest of his eternal existence, so he will make his offspring face the same fate. And of course it isn’t as simple as that. MC pops up again and again, the mirror image of a ghost, a piece of the woman Astra once loved now forever lost. This is why he curses MC to stay in the tower in another life, why he punishes Zayne so harshly over and over again for loving his daughter that destroyed everything. And he truly believes she destroys everything. Astra is a vindictive god, and he isn’t sure if MC destroys things because it is in her nature or his. I think he is the cause of every heartache and curse MC experiences throughout all her lives, a god exacting vengeance on his own flesh and blood. They compliment each other in a twisted, horrible way. They both are the others undoing, in every lifetime, and that exact undoing stems because of love. In the end, that is one of the many things MC inherited from her father: she loves too harshly and sews chaos with every beat of her heart
