Marketing Coordinator
Are you a student interested in tech and marketing?! Then you should join the HackingEDU team as a Marketing Coordinator. Our goal is to organize the largest student hackathon that will push the envelope on the contemporary education system. We want to empower students to solve problems that plague this outdated model. This will be a great opportunity for you to help us strategize on how to best get the word out to students on your respective campuses. Responsibilities:
Strategize on how to best promote HackingEDU’s events to students on your campus
Execute marketing campaigns (including social media, e-mail, live events, etc.)
Manage marketing projects
Engage with prospective attendees and registered attendees
Attend one hacking event a month
Attend bi-monthly conference calls with the Marketing Team
Assist with other tasks as needed
Desired Skills & Expertise:
Previous marketing experience and knowledge
Passion for education and tech
Team player
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
Great at project management
Willingness to learn

Technical Coordinator
*Job Description* Responsibilities Include: - Have complete ownership over the technical aspects for this event, which includes: - Coordinate with the wifi/internet solutions/networking company to ensure wifi does not go down and that there is enough bandwidth to support the amount of attendees. - Ensure that the building has the electrical capacity for that many people at once and that each hacker has a min of 2 outlets - Coordinate with the venue's a/v team for opening & closing ceremonies and all tech talks - Coordinate with the rest of the Operations team - Attend weekly meetings with the Operations team
