#A little bit romantic that Gerri probably paid for the oppo research herself with her own cash monies bc I don’t think she could expense such a thing.
If you’re serious about us as a dream ticket, it’d be smart to be able to preempt any bad stuff that could come out if you came under the spotlight.

Surely there’s no way ex-DOJ Laurie is cool with his gf rocking a triple piercing & I don’t think Logan would be down with triple piercings in the office either.
Does this mean #Gerri ditches both old men & and rebels?
feel like my wife just came back from war… whatchu thinking babygirl

At this point I actually think Gerri has to remain an essential part of Roman’s arc as for two seasons she has been his only “friend”/confidante, Tabitha having been sidelined. Going forward, Shiv has the Tom betrayal to deal with, Kendall still has his downward spiral/addiction issues, even Connor has his upcoming wedding & presidential bid. Roman’s has no deep connection to any other character apart from Caroline outside the sibling group & has spent all his time trying to do a good job at Waystar which was inextricably linked to his relationship with Gerri. Since he finishes s3 potentially without a relationship with Gerri & on the outs at Waystar, the loss logically has to be addressed as he has nothing else going on. I predict they will use Gerri to build the bridge between Roman and Waystar in one of three ways:
1. Roman has regrets about his decision & seeks Gerri out to repair their relationship. Gerri in turn helps him get that “in” on the Gojo deal that he was initially offered. This would make sense as Roman has always been the most likely to give in to Logan’s wishes and toe the company line; the weak link in the sibling alliance.
2. Gerri no longer has affection for Roman but leverages his feelings for her to get the inside scoop on what the siblings are doing for Logan/Matsson therefore positioning herself as a key player in the merger. Unlikely as Logan probably doesn’t want Gerri anywhere near Roman.
3. Gerri is resentful of losing her influence at Waystar so undermines the Gojo deal behind the scenes by assisting the siblings through the relationship with Roman.
I think scenario 3 is the most likely as:
- Roman is very forgiving & therefore would likely forgive any perceived betrayal by Gerri quickly;
- Playing both sides is Gerri’s favourite - she has been doing it since season 1;
- Gerri didn’t seem like she was going to retaliate for the dickpic, preferring to pretend like it never happened (very in character, denial is her second favourite);
- Gerri genuinely looked very sad not to be able to help Roman in the final scene of s3 & has been shown crawling back to Roman when she did him wrong before (Retired Janitors of Idaho).
yes obviously at first, compared to tom and greg, gerri didn't really exist as it is now in the writers'/jesse's mind. however, since in s1 they decided to turn it into a much bigger part, it would be extremely stupid of them to cancel it all
you're right in saying that gerri's part has turned into a much larger one than originally thought (everyone say thank you jsc) but i also think that right now gerri is not an essential character to the story in the same way as tom or greg are. if they suddenly got sidelined it would not make any sense to how the plot is going, but with gerri it would be relatively easy. would it be stupid? extremely so and i would be incredibly mad, but i can imagine it happening. i honestly don't think that it will happen but i like to prepare for the worst too.

Gerri marrying Baird *to get into* Waystar totally fits her MO.
and while im analyzing relationships we know nothing about, jsc saying she thinks they were already married when baird got gerri into waystar speaks volumes to me rather than gerri meeting him at waystar, she randomly met baird and said I’m Going To Fuck That Old Man

Musings on what could be next for Roman & Gerri in s4
Too much time has been spent on the Gerri/Roman dynamic for it to be completely over in season 4. Roman has become so infatuated with Gerri over the past three seasons, watching her every move, that can’t just be forgotten. It’s entirely feasible he will try and salvage their partnership by doing something overtly sexual (in front of or to her?) out of desperation. In the past, he has escalated the sexual aspect of their relationship as a means of strengthening their bond & securing her loyalty to him by making her complicit: mild flirtation turns into accidental phone sex which turns into a deliberate, in person session; he confesses his desire to possess her completely (“I force you to live with me”, “I eat you, you eat me”); he makes an express request for sex (potentially motivated by the fact he is worried Logan may have slept with her and her loyalty might instead lie there); he sends her dick pics forcing her to think of him as a potential sexual partner. Before Laurie arrives on the scene, Roman seems comfortable with the progression of the relationship, things are going well for them professionally and it’s implied Gerri and Roman go out on lunch dates before she starts seeing Laurie. I believe it’s Roman’s desire to sabotage Gerri’s romance with Laurie that prompts the sending of “the items” because he’s scared she will no longer be as available to him as before. The fear he feels from potentially losing her completely after Italy might very well push him to act out physically in season 4 as he doesn’t really have any further options. Her reactions are always ambiguous to the audience and to Roman alike (“I’m not so sure, I feel like you do want them, but you’re being kind of typically minxy.”) so almost anything could a happen from her perspective. Maybe it will backfire on him and she will finally draw a line, maybe she will continue to deny these occurrences are actually happening, maybe she will very cautiously play along as she has in the past, or maybe she will just give in because on some level she must be enjoying it to let it get this far. As was demonstrated by the dickpicgate fallout, there was absolutely nothing advantageous in her perpetuating their sexual dynamic, rather it made her extremely vulnerable professionally. She let it go on so long and in so many different scenarios that there could be no plausible deniability from her end. Her tacit acceptance of Roman’s sexual behaviour seems out of character suggesting she participates in it for personal satisfaction and not for any leverage she could gain career-wise. In conclusion, I don’t believe we have reached the Gerri/Roman climax.
